* ''Synopsis'': It is the Year 352 Post Upheaval, or 2385 AD had the United States remained on Earth. Due to a treaty signed between the nations of Fodlan and this lost nation, many Americans had been allowed to attend Garreg Mach Monastery's Officers Academy for almost one hundred years, but only recently had they been permitted to form their own house: The Emerald Diamondbacks.
With this new house, the students of the Class of 1181 (by Fodlan's years) will have to brace themselves for a new kind of student: Students that have been bred for battle; students who have their own agenda to fulfill that will conflict with even with the most powerful of Fodlan's leaders, both known and unknown; students who have their own secrets to keep as a dark shadow suddenly looms over the Academy; students who, at the end of the day, may just be the key to challenging the church's authority over the people and usher in a new era for Fodlan, and perhaps, the world.
But to the natives, they are only known as the few, the proud, the Marines.

* Comments: From the writer of The Miracle of Life comes anothe incredible piece. Watching the main characters on their adventures in Hyrule has proven to be a very entertaining experience, even if at the moment I feel that Link is being overshadowed by the colourful characters of Three Houses. Nevertheless, I'm excited to see what awaits them all as the story goes on, and how their experiences will effect the future of Fodlan upon their return.

Semper Fidelis... Always Faithful...
* Comments: The premise of this fic reminded me of ''America's Stepbrother, America's Enemy'', which I enjoyed reading a lot. While this story has only just started and progress seems to be slow, it is very well written and is setting up some interesting plot threads. I recommend this ambitious fic to anyone who is looking for something a bit different from this fandom.

* Synopsis: Defeated by his nemesis, abandoned by the man he gave his life to, and dying from his ravaged lungs, Arthur Morgan was certain his time was at an end as he looked to the dawn one last time. But through the will of fate, or some silent, unknowable power, he awoke to a foreign land, tended to by strangers. Among them, none baffled him more than this cobalt-haired girl with a sword...
* Comments: This is one of the last kind of crossovers I'd imagine anybody making, but honestly? The author makes the premise really work, especially with how the characters interact off each other. Arthur and Byleth's interactions together are the highlights of the fic so far, and I look forward to seeing where the author goes with this story once it really gets started.

Not constructive to a list about recommendations. Dissention to the point of mockery and loses the point of the entire page

** Pardon the dissenting opinion, but I disagree. The fic is well-written, in theory, and it definitely has some strong elements (some of the original characters definitely deepen the world created), but... it didn't grip me. I dislike over-prosaicness in a narrative, and the author indulges in it. He also makes rather weak (and grossly unnecessary) changes to the plot which have ruinous effects upon characters - for instance, in the "Premonition", he has [[spoiler:Robin ''willingly'' let Validar claim him right after Chrom's death, despite the canonical implications that he was ''completely possessed''.]] Or that he'll adjust details to suit himself rather than work with what he has - like suggesting that [[KnightTemplar the previous Exalt]] started his crusade due to his wife's death, when Chrom explicitly states in the game that he's been at it for ''years'' (on that note, bonus demerit points for not even ''trying'' to research stuff he doesn't know, which leads to Gangrel being retconned into being of royal blood rather than a nihilistic former-street-rat). I liked how ''Wraith of the Lorca'' (below) adapted [=FE7=]; I am disappointed by how this one does [=FE13=] and consider it overrated, beating ''many'' more worthy fics to this Rec list just because it stood out more than them...
** I'm going to have to agree with the above reviewer. The author adds in too many unnecessary things (such as a LoveTriangle between Lucina, Say'ri and Robin that does very little for the narrative), turns Robin into a borderline Shonen protagonist, including a harem of girls who want him, frequent power-ups and an EnemyWithin SuperpoweredEvilSide, and has a tendency to make the plot drag by introducing other plot arcs mid-way through. And like the above reviewer said, he changes the characters to suit him and doesn't do his research, to the detriment of the characters involved. I definitely wouldn't call it "the greatest adaption of a Fire Emblem game", or even an adaption at all--it reads more like, well, a fanfiction, and I don't think it lives up to its reputation.
** I agree with all three reviews above, putting me somewhere in the middle. I do appreciate the little twists and turns the author takes with the plot of ''Awakening'' while following the general plotline. The usage of Priam was a welcome addition, and the humor was spot-on at times. I do ''not'' appreciate, however, the excessive liberties taken. Robin barely seems like Robin. Sure, he's a VanillaProtagonist, but if that's all you have, that's all you have. But, if you are going to add things, at least keep the basic character intact. Robin went through a DorkAge at one point that, while entertaining when my brain was off, made the character barely recognizable to me with my brain on. It's cool, no doubt about it (otherwise, I wouldn't have read the whole thing within three days), but in a post-completion analysis, it doesn't live up to the hype.
** Invisible Ties is a fairly shallow story that often bends its characters, its plotlines, and its own rules to keep moving. It's not unenjoyable to read, but it does not hold up very well.

** I've got to agree with WillyFourEyes. The author was clearly a teenager when he wrote this because his idea of what's tough and cool are just so juvenile, and there's way too much focus on making things DarkerAndEdgier to the point where the setting couldn't even exist (deleting the sun?!). - @/IndustriousArc, a.k.a. Loads And Loads Of Characters is no longer a trope

** Still recommended, but YMMV. While the attention paid to the LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters is great, the protagonist skirts dangerously close to being a Stu at times, ParodyRetcon notwithstanding: everyone's attracted to him, he can do magic nobody else can, he solves everyone's personal problems with his infinite wisdom etc... At times it seems to morph into a rant by the author about his (real) life, and the constant references get really annoying. It's down to the reader whether this detracts from the story or not.

** I disagree. The "not all sunshine and rainbows" Corrin as depicted in ''A Brighter Dark'' is unbearable as a viewpoint character, and the changes the story makes to the worlds of Hoshido and Nohr for the sake of "realism" makes both sides even ''less'' believable and relatable [[spoiler:(removing Valla from the setting but still sticking closely to TheStationsOfTheCanon brings up its own set of issues)]]. The constant slamming of the Hoshido side (and ''Fates'' as a game in general) is also grating, as is the overall grimdark tone--the attempted "WarIsHell" message doesn't work when the narrative revels in describing the gruesome deaths inflicted by Nohr's war machine. All in all, not one I'd ever want to read again, or recommend to others. - @/WillyFourEyes.
