** Seconded strongly by this troper. LovelyAmberLight writes a very good Nine, brooding, dark, and occasionally goofy, with definite fatherly tendencies towards Lilly. Jackie Tyler, of all characters, is given a wonderful introduction and the character development she always deserved. Also, the main character, Lilly, is the best OC I've ever seen, in any fic. She is very real, terrified by the new universe she's in, but still incredibly brave. The plot is complex, twisting, and full of paradoxes - be sure to pay attention! All in all, an excellent fic.

(At least not more than the real Doctor himself) While an SI, the story is very well thought out and some has ideas that i have never seen in a FanFic bevor. It has absolutely hilarious moments (Like the reaction of people who knew Doctor Who as a TV-Show before and don't let me start with the Power Rangers.) and very heart-wrenchingly sad scenes. And often it really feels like Doctor Who. I still have no idea why it is so unknown. So go and give it a read!

The Doctor's characterization as 'Ten-but-a-pony' creates some very interesting (read: hi-freaking-larious) interactions with the MLP main cast and also makes for some truly awesome moments, his lines are best read in a David Tennant voice. The characterizations of the ponies is spot on, beyond my ability to convey in words actually, so it is better read than told. GO. READ.

The way it expands on the Friendship is Magic universe and the sheer depth it goes into things is amazing.

What is really fascinating about the whole thing is that Doctor [=McFly=] manages to capture the 'voice' of both Marty and the Doctor extraordinarily well, combining the two and generating genuine character interactions which work. Every single character is well rendered, with dialogue that seems to come right out of the original shows, and the plot is good and intriguing enough to leave you dying to see it on screen, closing your eyes to see the scenes in your mind's eye and hear the Doctor's Theme played on an Old West guitar. * Comments: This fic is a very impressive rewrite of the revival series that shows not just what would've happened if Rose hadn't been trapped in Pete's World, but also if she and the Doctor had formed a telepathic bond beforehand. It is very detailed, incredibly thought out, the Doctor and Rose's romance is nicely executed, and the same love is given to their companions. The first part, "To Make Much of Time," covers series 2 from "Tooth and Claw" onwards, which already had Rose, so the changes there are mostly under the surface and in the parts between the stories[[note]]Like the Doctor actually saving some of the surviving Ood at the end of "The Impossible Planet"; or "The Girl in the Fireplace" being completely rewritten to eliminate the Doctor's infatuation with Reinette[[/note]]. Part 2, "Time is Still a Flying," covers series 3 and adds Martha to the mix, and one thing that becomes clear is that unlike most "series 3 and 4 with Rose" fics that generally seem to insert Rose without really considering how her presence would change the dynamics of every situation, this one understands how the Doctor would be a very different man if he had Rose by his side, and how that changes each story.[[note]]e.g. the Doctor kisses Rose instead of Martha to distract the Judoon in "Smith & Jones"; the Doctor figures out in "The Shakespeare Code" much sooner that the witches are Carrionites; in the Dalek two-parter, he tries to negotiate with the Daleks instead of trying to goad them into killing him; in "The Lazarus Experiment," Rose softens up Francine to the point that she's not inclined to think the Doctor is a threat to Martha's wellbeing, etc.[[/note]] This story even manages to make the Master a much more compelling villain. Then after "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and "Taking Time," two interim stories that cover "The Voyage of the Damned" and the period before series 4, part 5 "Forever and Never Apart" covers series 4 with Donna, and the changes to the Doctor's personality really shine in how they change the storytelling and the resolution to the stolen planets arc. This part also makes the bold deviation of having the Doctor take Jenny along in the TARDIS for an extra companion from "The Doctor's Daughter" onwards. So far the author has covered the Tenth Doctor's seasons, and currently has plans for extra fics covering the Tenth Doctor, Rose and their extended family working through the 2009 specials and various groups of episodes from the Eleventh Doctor seasons. It's an absolute must-read.
