* ''Synopsis'': Set in an Alternate Universe where the Gods take a more activate involvement and the Blackfyre's won their rebellion, but are toppled by a Targaryen cadet branch.
* ''Comments'': I can't tell if this is a crackfic or not as it's written so seriously, there's all the fanfic cliches about canals and a super developed North but the consequences of that seem to be that every other Kingdom became even wealthier and more powerful then in canon. There are multiple Targaryen cadet branches and I think one of them produces a cocaine equivalent. What's interesting is that the POD seems to be when the benevolent Gods of the setting send a fleet of ships from Yi Ti to the North. Author does it admit, it's partially an affectionate rib at fics like the Many Sons of Winter and Magic Returns to Westeros type fics but it doesn't feel mean spirited. Recommending because I've never seen anything like this and it's been a fun if wild ride.

Her [[AlternateUniverseFic AUs]] are fantastic, especially how she adjusts her characterization to reflect what they’ve gone through in other universes; a character as a high-school student acts differently to a character raised in a lab, and yet the author is able to keep them consistent enough to be recognizably the same. That said, her canon-verse characterization is absolutely spot on, especially for characters that change drastically throughout the plots, and is able to perfectly mimic their voices according to where they are in their timelines. Although her work is occasionally angst, she is stated to prefer happy endings wherever possible. This sometimes leads to wish fullfilment, but in a Administrivia/TropesAreNotBad sense – she deals with villains cathartically and gives long-suffering characters much needed breaks, but always in entirely logical ways that fit the plot without being DeusExMachina. She seems to have the opinion that Theon Greyjoy needs a hug.

Overall, very well written and thought provoking.

The fact that Sean must use his wits, what he has learned in a lifetime of acting and every bit of knowledge he remembers from the books (passing it off as things the Old Gods have told him) only adds to the awesomeness of the story. His actions also change many things, preventing problems that happened in the books and TV series from ever taking place - such as marrying Robb as soon as possible. His inner monologues about how different things are to when he did them in the series are also quite hilarious, such as when he mentally compares every person in Westeros to their actor or actress equivalents (not to mention how wild Catelyn becomes in bed).

Talon]], along with a lot of information about engineering, metallurgy, sciences... and this leads to a heavily modernized and industrialized North that, when the War of the Five Kings comes, is much better prepared to fight. However, the threat of the Others is coming, and Theon must help his brother-in-all-but-name win this war fast so the North can deal with the true enemy that comes from Beyond the Wall...

* Synopsis: some time after Aegon's Conquest, Torrhen Stark found a type of cattle that fitted very well in the harsh winters of the North, so he started to promote its breeding and ranching. Three hundred years later, the North is well populated and incredibly rich, the Old Gods are widely worshipped, greenseers and skinchangers are a normal sight in every city and town, a canal connects the Narrow Sea and the Sunset Sea through the Neck, Winterfell is one of the greatest cities in Westeros and Eddard Stark is well-beloved by the North. But when Jon Arryn dies, Robert Baratheon comes north, and things begin to move...
* Comments: a very interesting, extremely well-written story, where such a simple thing as a cow leads to a more powerful, better developed North and to create a society that is alien yet so familiar to those that have read the books. For example, even though Winterfell is incredibly huge, it still has the feeling of home for the Stark characters, and the Starks have a large number of cadet branches (even the Greystarks, who in canon were wiped out to a man) that provide a lot to the new society, including a large court of Northern ladies around Sansa. Of course, the changes are not all for good: the canal leads to Dorne hating the North - since the former do not have as many ships appearing in their ports - while Theon is worse adjusted to a very different Winterfell since Robb and him are not friends. Very highly recommended if you like the Starks.
