Since Luise was not raised as a noble, she doesn't treat Saito as a servant or as someone beneath her and only acts harsh towards him initially because she was conned earlier, didn't want to have her trusted exploited again, and because they needed to get out of a dangerous area. Luise also feels guilty for plucking Saito from his home at the start and searching for the means to send him home becomes one of her goals at the start of the story.
