* AscendedExtra: Hagakure has limited roles in canon, typically used for a RunningGag about being invisible and {{naked|PeopleAreFunny}}. In this fic, along with Kaminari and Ashido, she is usually one of the main drivers of conversation on the app, being one of the most social members of Class 1-A.

While the story itself follows the canon plotline, the chat provides several changes to the background events and other minor facets, as well as make for an entertaining tale as the students (and the teachers) squabble, argue and make fun of each other using the chat as a medium.

** Jiro and Yaoyorozu start dating some time before the first term's midterms.

* AngerBornOfWorry: Uraraka angrily yells at Iida, Midoriya and Todoroki for fighting Stain and worrying all of Class 1-A. She's then chastised by a nurse (since they are in a hospital) and forced to continue her tirade in a lower voice.

** When Kaminari off-handedly mentions how Uraraka shut him out during their second day while he was trying to hit on her, Jiro tells him to keep quiet so they can bring it up later, when Midoriya and Uraraka finally get together. When the latter happens, Kaminari reveals the event, much to their horror and Jiro's hilarity.

* DistinctionWithoutADifference: When Izuku mentions that he's sure Nezu has bugged the chat app 1-A uses, Nezu intervenes to state that "bugged" implies there was actually something in the app that wasn't closed to him

* DoubleStandard: [[DiscussedTrope Discussed at several points]] between Mineta and Midnight, and later with Jirou. Mineta doesn't understand why it is that Asui can get away with making perverted jokes, or Jirou can get away with blundering with talking about breasts, while he's treated as scum for seemingly doing the same thing. Midnight (and later Jirou) points out that in their case, they only make perverted comments when it's actually appropriate, and have enough respect to recognize when they're in danger of going too far with their antics. By contrast, Mineta doesn't act with any sense of restraint or care for how uncomfortable he makes people with his perverse behavior, and in his case his antics tend to lean dangerously close to harassment.

* ForWantOfANail: While most of the story strictly follows TheStationsOfTheCanon, there are a few events that happen differently.
** Mineta and Kaminari's attempt to trick the 1-A girls into wearing cheerleader costumes backfires when Jiro sends a message to ask Aizawa about it - and Aizawa forces the two boys to put on cheerleader costumes of their own.
** Gunhead being sent to Hosu to help deal with the post-attack trouble causes Uraraka to find her friends in the hospital and triggers her RelationshipUpgrade with Midoriya.
** The "hole-in-the-wall" that in canon led to Mineta attempting to perv on the girls, only to get his eye jacked by Jiro, instead ends with Mineta blocking the hole with a hairball.

* LoopholeAbuse: ''Iida'', of all people, exploits one when he tells Sako Keiji that the law forbids from using his Quirk without a license - but his Quirk is solely centered in his legs. [[TalkToTheFist Cue Sako suffering from a broken nose.]]

* NoodleImplements: Hagakure and Tokage's prank on Sako involves twine, twenty rubber ducks and enough custard that it had to be compressed before putting it into the guy's locker.

* PetTheDog:
** The girls manage to convince Lunch Rush to make [[TrademarkFavoriteFood hamburgers for Kaminari]] for his birthday.

** Iida attempting to lecture the others on what should be appropiate behavior for U.A. students.

* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Uraraka towards Midoriya. When Bakugo goes too far in his insults, she requests Aizawa for a hand-to-hand fighting sparring so she can have the excuse to pummel Bakugo, and when Ashido becomes too intense in her teasing, she warns her to back off.

* WeWantOurJerkBack: Variation. After Ingenium's crippling, Iida stops using the chat, causing the others to miss his interventions. After Stain's capture, Iida apologizes for his behavior, only for Ashido to deliberately goad him into starting one of his rants on what should be U.A. students' appropriate behavior, cheering when she succeeds.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Midoriya is widely considered 1-A's #2 Cinnamon Roll. After his fight with the Hero Killer and his RelationshipUpgrade with Uraraka, he threatens to kill his classmates if they wake up Uraraka. Everyone notes that Izuku doing that has a lot more impact than Bakugo (for whom "I'll kill you!" is pretty much a {{Catchphrase}}).

** Kirishima stating something or someone is "[[RatedMForManly manly]]", even if it is one of the girls.

* StunnedSilence:
** 1-A's reaction when [[ByTheBookCop Iida]] drops a PrecisionFStrike.

** Mineta becomes more controlled and less prone for perverted behavior.

** The "hole-in-the-wall" that in canon led to Mineta attempting to perv on the girls, only to get his eye jacked by Jiro, is instead solved by Mineta blocking the hole with a hairball.

** When Torino joins the U.A. teachers chat, it's Recovery Girl that nicknames him [=WarrantyVoid=].

* TrueCompanions: 1-A, after all they've gone through, is willing to do ''a lot'' for each other. For example, when Ashido dates a second year student, only for him to clearly disrespect her, Hagakure enlists Setsuna to set up a prank in his locker, and Iida goes to tell the guy off. Then the guy makes a ''very'' nasty comment about Ashido. ''Iida'' promptly breaks his nose, Midoriya and Uraraka punch him in the gut so hard he pukes his lunch, '''Bakugo''' is all too ready to explode the guy, and the rest of the class is disappointed that the teachers came too soon either because they wanted to see the boy getting pummeled or because they wanted to pummel him themselves.

* AngerBornOfWorry: Uraraka angrily yells at Iida, Midoriya and Todoroki for fighting Stain and worrying all of Class 1-A. [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments She's then chastised by a nurse (since they are in a hospital) and forced to continue her tirade in a lower voice.]]

* ShrugOfGod: Not even the writer knows what Sako Keiji (the 2nd year student Mina had a date with) said about her. Whatever it was, it was bad enough that ''[[ByTheBookCop Iida]]'' punched Sako hard enough to break his nose - and [[CoolTeacher Present Mic]] later asked if ''he'' could punch Sako as well.
