* AdaptationalNationality: As members of the Zeppeli family in this setting, [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders Hol Horse]] and [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Rarity]] are Italian. In canon, Hol Horse is (presumably) an American, while Rarity is an Equestrian Pony.

** In ''Franchise/{{Danganronpa}}'', due to the place's extreme focus on talents, many students of Hope's Peak Academy held Ultimate Talents in one field of specialization [[CripplingOverspecialization and only that]]. Thanks to Kakyoin and the Speedwagon Foundation taking control of Hope's Peak Academy away from the insidious Steering Committee, the students became more intelligent and emotionally mature thanks to their school including general education to prepare them for the real world. It doesn't hurt that any student with a talent worthy of the title Ultimate either is a Stand user from birth or has the potential to become one. They also worked together more coherently in taking down threats such as the BigBad of [=JoJo=]lion, Honami Sato.

* AlternateHistory: The world of ''New Universe'' got hit with Second Impact in 2000. But unlike ''Evangelion'' it wasn't an apocalypse scenario thanks to a lone Stand user containing the majority of the blast. Instead the planet's climate underwent some benign changes, including most of Russia thawing out and paving the way for entire new countries to start being founded.

* SuckySchool: Defied in this setting. [[Franchise/{{Danganronpa}} Hope's Peak Academy]] was founded by Izuru Kamukura with the noble-hearted intention of fostering natural talent in students. However, when the Steering Committee took control of the school, Hope's Peak Academy was on its way to becoming the center of the "Ultimate Hope" project, which would have turned any chosen student into TheAce, but at the cost of [[DeathOfPersonality losing their original personality]]. Even the students themselves catch on to the singleminded focus on their talents and become apathetic to learning at the start of the story. Thanks to Kakyoin, who is [[CrossoverRelatives a maternal descendant of the school's founder via his mother]], Hope's Peak Academy is put under the Speedwagon Foundation's educational jurisdiction, [[ForWantOfANail averting much tragedy for the students]]. Later on in the story, the students of ''JJNU''[='s=] Hope's Peak Academy encounter surviving students of the canon timeline, with the latter group being incredibly traumatized by what they went through without a ReasonableAuthorityFigure to intervene.

* SwirlingDust: Rex Falcon's Stand creates winds kick up powerful dust storms that are nearly impossible to break through.

Then there's Omega-level Stands, which refers to Requiem or Heaven Stands. It's noted that this ranking is less about raw power (for example, a Gamma-level could have greater power than an Alpha-level Stand depending on the ability and stats) but rather spiritual capability.

In fact, getting affect by one allows a Stand user to trigger a Requiem transformation without the beetle arrow, while getting affected by both triggers a Heaven transformation without DIO's formula.

** The Joestar Family is one of the most prominent family lineages in the setting, starting with Phantom Blood's Jonathon Joestar and his adoptive sister Lydia "Twilight Sparkle" Twilight. While Jonathon Joestar starts out normal like his canon counterpart, he eventually becomes a prodigious Hamon and Stand user, whereas Twilight from the get-go is a prodigy in both academics and Hamon, and introduced the concept of Stands way earlier than canon did by virtue of being a Stand user herself. Jonathon Joestar eventually marries and settles down with his wife, Erina Joestar (nee Pendleton), creating multiple generations of Joestars who went on to help save the world from multiple threats, including vampires, Pillar Men, {{Serial Killers}}, etc.

* ShockAndAwe: A running theme with EVA Pilots. Shinji's Cruel Angel's Thesis has electrical powers, Rei has an electric "Mode" thanks to her Gigan genetics, Asuka's Hamon has an electric base, Aigis can create and electric charge by overclocking her power core, and Kaworu can manipulate his AT field to create an electric current.
