The Rainbooms have graduated and preparing for the next chapters in their lives. Except for Sunset Shimmer, who's... unique status proves to be an obstacle and with very limited options she's considering going back to Equestria.

Those aren't their only problems however as the rogue magic from the portal is still causing trouble. Deciding to consult the expert, Sunset and Princess Twilight go to Star Swirl The Bearded. What she learns is a greater danger the portal could cause and revelations about her own past that will lead her to question everything she knows about her life and herself.
