** When Parian hears from Uppercrust that he's planning to extend a job offer to [[spoilerJoe]], she becomes so paranoid over the idea that the Elite might get to her through him that she attempts to paint her previous encounter with [[spoiler:Joe]] as much worse than what it was in an attempt to get him blacklisted. This backfires on her quickly when Gully and Aisha mention what really happened, causing people's opinion of Parian to take a dive. She's lucky that the worst consequence of this is that Garment chooses not to offer a collaborative project.

* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: Happening to Uber in regards to [[spoiler:March]] [[https://archiveofourown.org/comments/481968178 because of his powers]].

** When Parian goes over her past with Joe, she thinks that his family is good for him because every time he came back from family encounters he was withdrawn and reserved, missing the blatant signs that Joe's family is emotionally abusive because she hated how Joe would keep trying to speak with her.

** Joe's thoughts on finding out just what [[spoiler: Bakuda resorted to to regrow her limbs; a Cancer Bomb. A ''Terminal'' Cancer Bomb]]. Though Joe thinks that about their conduct in general anyway.

* BrickJoke: Upon getting a few HumongousMecha, Joe thinks to himself that he now has enough to play 2 on 2 basketball with them. This is exactly what he does when he trains with them.

Fleet and Matrix in particular find they can get across roughly what they want to say to them through using their respective powers.]]

* OverprotectiveDad: Chubster's interlude shows that he's this for his daughter.

Charley took after her mother in most respects, but she had inherited some aspects of his build. Not that noticeably, but enough that he had been worried about how people would treat her. He didn't want anyone making fun of his little girl.\\
Those had been misplaced concerns. Instead of being mocked for her weight the reactions had swung in a very different direction. He found himself needing to look up what PAWG meant and figure out why people were misspelling the word 'thick'. Because only initial concerns were misplaced. It turns out there was an entirely new set of concerns waiting for him. Unfortunately, even as a superhero, it wasn't possible for him to threaten the entire internet with a shotgun. He had to rely on PRT's public relations departments and the curation of Ward related content on major sites. As for the rest of the internet, he could only do his best to ignore it, as much as he hated that approach.

* BladeOnAStick: Tybalt's Questionably Practical Weapon is a Jägerstock, a double headed spear documented in a small number of combat manuals that has seen no documented mainstream use in any major conflict. It literally means 'hunting stick'.
