The story surprisingly still stays pretty true to the events of the anime, albeit with a few more embellishments to make things funnier along the way, such as Luna's horrendous marksmanship and the [[GodModeSue hax that is Kira Yamato]]. The series ended with a ReunionShow followed by Kira, Athrun, Luna, and Shinn meeting [[{{Gundam00}} the Gundam Meisters]] and then [[ConflictBall fighting them for no reason]] before finally ending with TheMovie.

* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Happens to Maude from GundamSEEDDestiny Stargazer repeatedly, along with the entire Gundam X cast, Bernie, and the Shrike Team in the ReunionShow.

* IdiotBall: EVERYONE, just not all at the same time. It later gets explained everyone from the original GundamSEED contracted [[FunWithAcronyms "Destiny Indecisive Morons Building Up Lots of fan-Bitching" Syndrome]]. Cagalli contracted it first, but as a result recovered quicker.

* TakeThat: A ridiculous number of them leveled at Fukuda, the writers, and animators of GundamSEEDDestiny. How much of it is in jest and how much is a genuine critique is open to debate.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Saji and Louise eat [[{{Gundam00}} Golden Graham]] before [[MobileSuitGundam Bright Noah has them eat Amur-Os]].

* AdaptationDisplacement: Unless you're a fan of Mobile Suit Variations, you wouldn't know that things like the Destiny Impulse and Providence ZAKU were ''real'' mobile suits thought up and made into models.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Rife with this. Lacus is probably the most prominent example, and the most consistent too.

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: Oh, so very, very much the case. It doesn't matter when, it just ''is.''

* GetAholdOfYourselfMan: Bright goes ''ballistic'' on Saji for pretty much no reason. Wong goes even further.
* GodModeSue: Kira gets to the point in this that he doesn't really need to put any effort into fighting. Counter-balanced by him being a total loser outside of the Strike Freedom, accomplishing such feats as shooting himself in the foot.
