* LongTitle: All of the chapter titles, except for "Family Reunion." Chapter 4 was another exception, just being "Soos in Giffany Land" [sic], until Great Pikmin Fan retroactively added a ridiculously long subtitle to it that managed to ''dwarf'' the previous three chapter names. The story itself has a name that is quite a mouthful too.

* SlapstickKnowsNoGender: Starts popping up in this installment as well, slowly but certainly. [=.GIFfany=]'s comical "Road Runner" skidding to a stop when she realizes that her physical form can fly and Melody having her naked butt get scraped against a hot window indicate this.

* SurpriseCreepy: Parodied. The opening chapter pretends that the whole story is just Thanksgiving-themed fluff, written in an over-the-top cutsey way. Then John heards the doorbell and greets some guests. But the guests turn out to be zombies, who rip off his head. Twice somehow. And then, to establish what kind of story this ''really'' is, the blood starts forming the real title, ''Kids Fight the Zombies''.

* ''The Wiki/SCPFoundation''[[note]]''Zombie Attack!'', though pretty much InNameOnly as the only "character" (SCP-008) can be exchanged for any zombie virus, yet in spite of this it kickstarted the while plot.[[/note]]

* UncannyValley: Invoked with the rather unappealing designs of the title characters, Sheldon in particular standing out. His eye gets another layer of coloring each panel in the first strip.

* KillEmAll: Yet to be played straight, however [[spoiler:''[=EDventure=]'']] had a surviving cast of ''two'' (though an update increased that count), and [[spoiler:''Sweet Jade and Hella John'' has only six major characters left alive not counting clones.]]

* WereStillRelevantDammit: [[invoked]]Averted, and in the case of at least SJAHJ, this aversion is openly said to be intentional. The content of the stories is generally independent of whatever is going on at the time, as with what's being written. ''Sweet Jade and Hella John''[='=]s case comes from how the author openly tries ''not'' to make updates related to whatever just happened in ''Homestuck'' at the time.

* PlotArmor: [=.GIFfany=] explicitely says that she survives a number of scenarios in the story because the author loves her. Rumble and the Trickster end up surviving the same thing, and appear to have similar plot armor protecting them.

** The story outright describes Dream Dipper's "suffocation" as him looking like [[VideoGame/TheBindingOfIsaac Hush.]] (Well, mispelled "Hash," but it still at least cites the game.)
