* The Tusken Raiders finally get [[ADayInTheLimelight treated with some respect]] in the ''Franchise/StarWars'' canon in this show. Mando even perfectly knows how to negotiate with them, with both Mandalorians and Tusken Raiders basically being very similar.

* The two Scout Troopers at the start of Chapter 8 quickly endeared audiences with their hilarious banter over Moff Gideon's BadBoss tendencies, citing it as if it were [[PunchClockVillain another day at the office]], and we get treated to another demonstration of their [[ImperialStormtrooperMarksmanshipAcademy infamous poor accuracy]] when they start shooting at a can out of boredom. And keep in mind, these are the same guys that [[HeroKiller killed Kuiil]] and captured the Child at the very end of the previous episode! And they hit the Child here. Their time is ended in hilariously gruesome fashion as IG-11 demonstrates how breakable organics' bodies are compared to high-end combat droids.

Her popularity with fans resulted in her returning in the third season episode "The Convert".

* Dr. Pershing intrigues viewers who believe his efforts to protect the Child from death at the Client's hands in Season 1, and then to unconditionally guide the Mandalorian to the kid's prison cell in the Season 2 finale, make him Moff Gideon's least evil accomplice.

* Moff Gideon's lieutenant for being the first live-action female Imperial[[note]]Not counting the motion-captured video games or any First Order soldiers[[/note]], as well as being played by an attractive LGBT actress, which has made her immensely popular in the LGBTFanbase.

* Omera, the beautiful frontier [[RomancingTheWidow widow]] who's curiously a crack shot with a blaster, helps take care of The Child, and [[ShipTease gets tantalizingly close to offering the Mando a peaceful life and a chance to settle down]]. As portrayed by part-Native American actress Creator/JuliaJones, she also provides a rare example of an indigenous woman taking on a heroic ''Star Wars'' role without getting fridged. Sure, everyone in the audience knows how her total ''[[TheMagnificentSevenSamurai Seven Samurai / Magnificent Seven]]'' ripoff of a debut episode is [[ButNowIMustGo going to end]], but that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye to her.

* Koska Reeves and Axe for serving as Bo-Katan's badass entourage, also helped that the former is a trained WWE fighter and the latter is familiar to Marvel fans as another ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'' actor. Koska Reeves gets bonus points from many fans for the fact that her [[EstablishingCharacterMoment very first action]] was to save the beloved [[BreakoutCharacter Grogu]]’s life, which her actress Wrestling/SashaBanks even [[LampshadeHanging guessed would make Koska popular to the fans]] in interviews.

* Fennec Shand was an instant hit for being a badass DarkActionGirl played by fan-favorite actress Creator/MingNaWen. Despite only having about ten minutes of screen time in the first season, she was popular enough with fans to be brought back for not only the second season but ''also'' for other Disney+ shows, such as ''The Bad Batch'' and ''The Book of Boba Fett''. In the latter's first season, she actually appears in more episodes than the title character does.

* Peli Motto earned love from viewers, and from other ''Mandalorian'' cast members, thanks to Creator/AmySedaris balancing her incongruous and show-stealing sense of humor with a hardworking attitude and respect towards innocent otherworldly visitors. Peli would go on to make a brief cameo in ''The Book of Boba Fett'' Chapter 3, appearing in the spin-off before Mando himself could.

''Series/TheBookOfBobaFett'' would eventually reveal him and Mando as the only surviving males from their tribe after the invasion of their Navarro covert.

The scene where she absolutely ''[[CurbStompBattle destroys]]'' five Stormtroopers with nothing but her hammer and tongs [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome certainly didn't hurt her popularity any.]]

* Migs Mayfeld, the Imperial sharpshooter-turned-mercenary, has become one of these during his second appearance. While he was portrayed by Creator/BillBurr from the beginning and had several funny moments in his debut episode, he wasn't taken seriously at all. Come "The Believer", he's given a rather sympathetic backstory and a HiddenHeartOfGold that makes him lash out at the Imperial soldiers callously dismissing the deaths of entire platoons, including Mayfeld's own, and destroy their base of operations out of good intentions. Needless to say, he's earned himself a slew of new fans after the episode has aired.

* Peli Motto earned love from viewers, and from other ''Mandalorian'' cast members, thanks to Creator/AmySedaris balancing her incongruous and show-stealing sense of humor with a hardworking attitude and respect towards innocent otherworldly visitors. When Disney+ dropped the ''Disney Gallery'' episode "Making of Season 2", they updated the docuseries' thumbnail to show Creator/JonFavreau directing Sedaris.
