** Actually Amanda does usually get a lot of flack by Kurtty fans simply because of her exsistance & is usualy derailed as only liking Kurt for being different as a way to rebel against her parents & is loathed by Kitty, despite Kitty & Amanda aparently being friends (Evolution Tie-in issue #8 has Kitty tell Spyke how nice Amanda is), LAnce however should be noted that a lot of the time in the show he was just like they depict, whenever he isn't chasing Kitty he's usually attacking the X-Men & being a douche, infact his first episode he tried to ''Kill Kitty's parents, then tried to Kill Kitty herself!'' The Second Season's first episode had him start off trying to kill Principal Kelly because Kitty laughed the first time he made him trip with his powers (Which this troper assumed because the person next to her said something funny), & the Next scene he tried to drag her with him & grabbing her arm like a girlfriend beater (So ''thats'' where the fans get that vibe from) despite them ''not even going out yet.'' At least on the Safe side Kurt never gets bashed by Lancitty fans & this troper challanges them to find proof they do!

* In ''TheRealGhostbusters'' Janine Melnitz often becomes the target because of her [[ShipTease love interest Egon Spengler.]] Usually villafied as either an over controlling harpy or a heartless slut. If the pairing is OC/Egon than this can get especially bad. Doesn't help that Ramis isn't too fond of Janine/Egon either in the original movies.

* Some ''{{Daria}}'' fans are still upset that Daria got over her crush on the cool slacker Trent and ended up with the charming preppie Tom, even though Tom is ''[[DeadpanSnarker exactly]]'' like [[TheDaria Daria]], only male and well-adjusted and it's also made clear in the series that she would have been ''really'' unhappy with Trent. Perhaps some of this antipathy stems from the fact that, initially, it seemed like Daria "stole" Tom from Jane; in canon, the characters all eventually got past it and agreed it was unintentional and probably inevitable. The weird part is that Tom and Daria broke up at the end of the series anyway, so they're free to ship her with anyone else... and yet they still try to kill him.

** Vanessa isn't too liked by a small number of [[ShipsThatPassInTheNight Ferb/Gretchen]] shippers, or just people who find the idea of her and Ferb together---which seems sort of unnecessary, since she doesn't even ''know'' [[PrecociousCrush Ferb likes her]] and almost certainly wouldn't date him unless her were older anyway.

* Suzy Johnson of ''PhineasAndFerb'' is a subversion of this because she is Jeremy's little sister. Fans want her to DieForOurShip because she doesn't want Jeremy to have a girlfriend -- she gets in the way of shipping because she's against it.

** It also needs to be said: [[{{Meganekko}} Gretchen]]. That is all.
** Vanessa isn't too liked by [[ShipsThatPassInTheNight Ferb/Gretchen]] shippers.

** Isabella gets this from time to time from [[NotBloodSiblings Phineas/Ferb]] shippers due to her crush on Phineas.

** Johnny ''occasionally'' gets this from Ferb/Vanessa shippers, but a lot of others just ignore him (which isn't hard, since he was only in one episode and it's never made clear if they were dating).
*** Now it's made clear that they [[OfficialCouple are dating]] and that Johnny looks like he'll become a recurring character, so the bashing would only [[UnderStatement intensify.]]

** Alejandro (the new male contestant) gets quite a lot of hate from Harold/Leshawna, Geoff/Bridgette and Tyler/Lindsay shippers, and anybody who ships Heather with anybody else (but he deserves it because he is the "arch villain")

* Trent of ''TotalDramaIsland'' used to be bashed by people who would rather see Gwen and Cody together. Gwen/Cody fanfics usually portray Trent as a [[RonTheDeathEater shallow, abusive]] [[JerkAss jerk]] who almost always dumps Gwen for [[BuxomIsBetter Lindsay]], or else just kill him off in a literal Die For Our Ship. You can just imagine the delight of many (though disdain of even more) when [[spoiler:Gwen and Trent broke up in the fifth episode of Total Drama Action - though ironically, for the ''opposite'' reason: he was too clingy]].

** Sierra gets crucified for her massive crush on Cody (Though there are [[StalkerWithACrush other]] [[TheScrappy reasons]] to dislike their relationship.) In fact, it already happened when Beth kissed Cody on the cheek as he was voted off (''[[strike:nobody]]'' few people like Beth/Cody). He's one popular dude and [[LauncherOfAThousandShips shipped with nearly every other female (and some males) on the show]].

** Poor, poor, '''''poor''''' Geoff. According to [[LauncherOfAThousandShips this page]], Bridgette is paired with nearly every one. Combine that with Geoff's CharacterDerailment into a JerkAss, making fewer supporters for the original Bridgette/Geoff. It doesn't help that the second season may have enraged anti-Bridgette/Geoff shippers due to their flanderization to being used for make-out jokes. It's only going to get worse, seeing that Geoff isn't going to be in the main competition of the world tour, and [[spoiler:Bridgette fell for Alejandro]].

* ''SouthPark'' isn't safe, either. Kelly and Tammy are often hated by fangirls who have a crush on Kenny or prefer slash pairings. Wendy, Bebe, and a few others are disliked for the same reasons.

* Jimmy/Cindy shippers in ''JimmyNeutron'' do not approve of the existence of Betty, or in some cases April. Though, for what it's worth, ''Cindy'' doesn't exactly approve of Betty either...

** Another major [[ShipToShipCombat Shipping War]] lately: [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Dun]][[LauncherOfAThousandShips can]]/[[WellExcuseMePrincess Cour]][[{{Tsundere}} tney]] vs. [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Dun]][[LauncherOfAThousandShips can]]/[[PerkyGoth Gw]][[{{Tsundere}} en]]. Though the former are the OfficialCouple and the latter are only close friends so far, both in- and out-of-universe many suspect/hope Gwen and Duncan will wind up together. The result is lots of Gwen- and Courtney-bashing, only adding to the bashing already in progress from their respective actions in TDA.

** There's also a group of fans that believe Daria 'must'' remain single for eternity in order to [[RealWomenNeverWearDresses maintain her status as a strong female character]]. Therefore, any scene that depicted Daria being attracted to men, displaying a wish of having a fulfilling heterosexual relationship, or actually dating, is bashed for trying to "ruin" Daria's independence.
** Then there's the bitter LesYay shippers that are still convinced Tom was invented for the sole purpose of ruining their fantasies. This despite both Daria and Jane (''especially'' Jane) constantly showing interest in and pursuing men.

** Mai (pictured above): Good Lord, her treatment by most of the A:TLA FanDumb defines this trope. At first, most Zuko/Katara shippers were apathetic to little!Mai. Even when she came back, all grown up, in season 2 to help Azula pursue the Gaang, most Zutarians viewed her as just a slightly annoying side-character... until season 3 episode 1, when the audience first saw her make out with Zuko. Then Mai became the target of the great Zutarian FanDumb. As Mai and Zuko's canon [[VictoriousChildhoodFriend relationship]] blossomed, the Zutarian bashing only intensified. Katara was the character these fangirls identified with, and Zuko was the character these fangirls wanted to tap. When Mai moved in on the boy they wanted, the Zutarians hit her with everything they had, as if this had happened in real life.

*** Other shippers simply discounted Aang because he was ''12 years old.'' They also usually assigned a [[LikeBrotherAndSister big sister/little brother]] type relationship to Aang and Katara, villainizing neither and viewing their relationship as one that they would naturally grow out of as they got older, as they're both rather young to be settling down with their life partner. Then the [[AvatarTheLegendOfKorra planned sequel series]] had WordOfGod identifying Tenzin as Aang and Katara's ''son'', thus all but confirming that their relationship ''did'' last beyond the "teenage hormones" stage. Needless to say, this simple declaration set the Kataang vs. Zutara wars aflame again.

* Poor Bo Peep from the ''ToyStory'' franchise is constantly bashed on, sometimes for getting in the way of the [[RelationshipWritingFumble Woody/Jessie]] pairing. In ''Toy Story 3'', Bo is mentioned to have been [[PutOnABus sold to someone else at a yard sale]], leaving her out for good... But it's in the same movie that the [[OppositesAttract Buzz/Jessie]] couple becomes more apparent.
