My mistake, despite these examples only being Miraculous characters, it really is a crossover story

* ''[[Fanfic/RaiseYourselvesUp Raise Yourselves Up (We're Done)]]'':
** At the urging of [[BitchInSheepsClothing Lila]], [[WeUsedToBeFriends Alya]] and most of her other students, Miss Bustier bans Marinette and Chloé from joining them on their annual class trip... without considering that Marinette is typically the one who handles ''organizing'' said trip and all the fundraisers, or that Chloé's father typically donates thirty percent of the money they need. Since neither is permitted to join them, they naturally decide they won't get involved with any of the arrangements this time.
** Alya assumes that the annual class bake sale will perform just as well as always, before remembering too late that said bake sale was largely successful thanks to the Dupain-Cheng bakery donating plenty of free goodies. But since the class has been bullying their daughter, they have no interest in helping.
** Making matters far worse for all involved is how Bustier doesn't bother helping Alya or the others ''at all''. Not only are they left to figure out their fundraising efforts without any guidance from their teacher, Bustier neglects to make '''any''' of the necessary arrangements: she doesn't get permission from the school board, doesn't research or make any arrangements, does absolutely ''nothing'' whatsoever. This ultimately bars them from being able to leave Paris at all, since she NeverFilledOutOfficialPaperwork or got their passports ready.
** Since nobody in the class researched how much their plans would cost, Marinette and Chloé eventually have to break the news to them that no, $5,829 is not ''nearly'' enough for thirteen kids plus their chaperones to spend a full week in New York.

* ''Fanfic/MetalGearGreen:''
** The HPSC's plans to claim a nuclear mutant did the attack while amassing 60,000 heroes to get rid of the MSF after getting rid of the Tyrant. The plan expected it to be a one-day battle, not a three-day slog with a lack of supplies, an inability to resupply their forces, or the fact the MSF has a strategy when it comes to powerful heroes as well as air superiority. These factors resulted in the loss of around a third of their forces (with half of them being killed), while the rest were captured and then marked off as dead. This caused many of the prisoners to defect to the MSF. The only reason it didn't end with the HPSC being disbanded was because the HPSC President was forced to make a deal with Snake.
** The ProxyWar with Outer Heaven comes off as a mix of desperation and not fully thought out. The plan was perfect if the nation was a fledgling nation with a largely green army. Not against battle-hardened veterans comprised of soldiers from the 1970s, ex-heroes, ex-villains, and refugees who are willing to fight for the MSF. By the time the USJ attack has come forth, the HPSC has been forced to cut the pay of several agents and many arm depots across Japan have been largely or fully depleted. And since the HPSC can't ask the governments to start building weapon factories without the civilians and heroes becoming suspicious, they effectively locked themselves in an unwinnable war.
** PlayedForLaughs when Victoria invites Izuku and Rody for a trip to the Minecraft mines to collect some rare ores and didn't ask when their next training segment was. Victoria immediately felt stupid for forgetting to ask about their next training segment.
** Likewise, Fudaki's decision to try and take on the Anti-All Might Nomu on his own was met with a few shortcomings. The first is that his Quirk is from his hair and the crackling of electricity is very noticeable, even for a Nomu. Second was that Fudaki was intentionally disobeying orders from two teachers and refused to stick with the students, which is given to ''improve odds of survival''. And lastly, he is a first year with only a week of education in a major hero school, not a seasoned pro. This ends with the Anti-All Might Nomu giving a CruelAndUnusualDeath to Fudaki.
** Shoto's overreliance on the ice side of his Quirk does him no favors in the USJ. His constant repeated usage of ice on the USJ Nomu not only fails due to the Nomu breaking out repeatedly, but actively ''hinders'' Ocelot's team and All Might trying to handle the situation. Had Ocelot not knocked Kurogiri out beforehand, Kurogiri and Shigaraki would've been able to flee.
** Bakugou and Kirishima's attempts to help handle the situation throughout the USJ goes sideways for three reasons. 1: Bakugou and Kirishima had rushed a villain and actively forced 13 to not use her Quirk without harming them, causing the spreading and [[spoiler: Fudaki's death]]. 2: When they arrive to detain Kurogiri, Kirishima is quick to point out Kurogiri is unconscious, causing them to go up against the Anti-All Might Nomu with Shoto offering his 'help'. And 3: While this was a situation they weren't expecting, the problem was that All Might and the Ocelot Unit had been handling it, and the three students were actively hindering any efforts to stop the villains. It took All Might moving them to the stairway to force them to stay out of his way.
** Madam President's attempts to frame the MSF as a villain organization via MaliciousSlander fails when Nezu gives an ArmorPiercingResponse to the press on if they have any proof. Madam President can't release any evidence without it implicating the HPSC in even worse crimes, even with mild tampering.
** When seeing Akatani alone in the UA halls, Bakugou decides to confront him and threaten bodily harm on a kid who had arrived with MSF members. Apart from the fact that had Ocelot seen this, Bakugou would be expelled and blacklisted on the spot for being such an idiot, Akatani was more than capable of defending himself. His attempt ends with Akatani beating up and zip tying Bakugou in a way where he cannot use his Quirk without blasting himself or anything except the restraints and Akatani. When he tries to call Akatani's claims that Jiro, Shoji and Koda were the biggest threats in that exercise, Akatani points out he still hasn't gotten out of his restraints, opening him up for further humiliation from Class 1A, and his reputation to sink further.

* ''Fanfic/HarryPotterAndTheMagicOfTheBeasts'': Dumbledore and Fudge's attempts to either slander Harry or force his guardian to Britain to be hurled into Azkaban, or Draco's attempts to show himself as the top dog often backfires in their faces.
** Draco's attempts to banish a rock at Harry at the insult of [[DisproportionateRetribution not letting Hermione fall to her death or severe injury]] in front of several teachers causes him to lose fifty points and a week's worth of detentions. It didn't occur to him that the staff would be pissed at a deliberate attempt of grievous bodily harm ''at the least'' or that Harry would've spent years flying wherever he was raised at (as at the time, much of the student population was lost as to where he was raised at).
** When Draco challenges Emily to a duel and no-showed, he had expected her to get into trouble. It didn't occur that he should've done this in an area where there would be no witnesses, or that her estranged brother would get vengeance. Sure enough, when the start of Christmas holidays come about, Harry hands Lucius a packet from the ICW demanding half the Malfoy fortune for this ill-thoughted stunt. Since Lucius had lost all connections to the ICW after his French branch was wiped out, he is forced to capitulate.
** Dumbledore has Rita Skeeter and the Daily Prophet create a slanderous hit piece on Harry in the hopes to get him to react violently to cement him as a dark lord in the making. It didn't occur to him that Harry would message Steve to get an investigation into this, nor would it occur that it would unearth that Dumbledore had gifted Rita Harry's ''vault key''. This leads to Dumbledore being suspended from the ICW, the Daily Prophet being disbanded and Skeeter arrested and sent to the Himalayas to serve an 80-year prison sentence for a variety of crimes, including banking fraud.
** Mentioned [[InUniverse In-Universe]] by Steve when Fudge orders Amelia to arrest him, as the last attempt by the British Ministry to arrest an IWCO operative cost Magical Britain enough Galleons to cause a severe economic downturn that took almost 30 years to recover from.
** When Tarvos claims that the Goyles are trustworthy wizards. This was after Harry and Steve murdered all but one member, and the Chief said that he lost a brother to the Goyles 15 years ago. [[LockedOutOfTheLoop Lakjin didn't even know the familial name of them,]] [[SayingTooMuch and Harry and Steve hadn't told them yet.]] Tarvos stupidly outs himself as a traitor, and when he tries to attack Vriska, Harry intercepts it, challenges Tarvos to a fight [[CurbStompBattle and brutalizes him as punishment.]] When Tarvos sees him on Halloween, [[NeverMyFault Tarvos blames Harry for losing everything]] and tries to kill him, only for Harry to lure him out of the castle, blast him over the bridge and get him [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice speared in the chest by a stalagmite.]]
** When Snape confronts Harry over attacking Flint, Harry quickly turns it around and explains that Flint is suffering from Dementor exposure. It didn't occur to Snape to read the hospital report, that Flint had attacked his team for failing to injure or kill Emily, or that if Harry was involved in any aspects (which he is, but Snape cannot prove it) then he would be claiming that the Potter family can do impossible things. By the end of the confrontation, Snape is put on probation, and Flint is kicked off the Quidditch team [[SoreLoser when its found out he attacked his team for their loss in the game.]]
** Lucius' attempts to buy Boundless broom services and have it staffed by purebloods selling the brooms in the Malfoy name fails. It didn't occur to him that they would do a background check, or that the Malfoy family's tendency to follow dark lords, crimes of bribery, Veela Trafficking and discrimination against magical creatures and first-gens (which primarily staff Boundless) would be found out. When Lucius receives the note from Boundless, it's to tell him that they will not be doing business with him and that [[PersonaNonGrata he is permanently barred from investing in, buying or doing business in Canada.]]
** When Dumbledore arranges for Harry and co to have detention in the Forbidden Forest in the hopes that Ron would be able to have Harry perish in an "accident". It didn't occur to him that Harry was far more experienced than most wizards, that Ron was a genuine idiot of the highest caliber, that whatever was hunting unicorns could kill Emily, or that [=McGonagall=] would actually be pissed over her detention (helping Professor Sprout) being overruled. When the report came in, not only were three of the four House Heads, Lily and James infuriated, but Harry outright claiming the hooded figure cast the [[OneHitKill Killing Curse]] on him and Emily is enough to drive Lily into [[MamaBear Dragon Mode]].
** When a group of Aurors try to arrest Harry for murdering Quirrell, it didn't occur to them that Harry might have a license to kill from the ICW, nor did it occur that the reason Harry did that was because Quirrell was ''possessed by Voldemort''. While the last part would be hard to believe, it also doesn't help that the ''Head of the DMLE'' was there, and she could easily vouch for Harry, having seen the possessed teacher.
** Snape's outing of Hermione's Nekomata status in the hopes it would punish Harry for forcing him on Probation again by having him watch Hermione be executed. It didn't occur to him that the other heads would be pissed about it. Especially since Snape called Hermione a [[FantasticRacism half-breed]] and Flitwick (a half-Goblin) would actually view Snape's mannerisms as unprofessional and insulting. Sure enough, by the end of Chapter 20, [[spoiler: Snape is stripped of his ability to assign detentions, give or take points after his stunt falls flat on its ass. [[UltimateJobSecurity The only reason he isn't fired for trying to get Hermione killed is because Dumbledore gave him tenure when he was hired.]]]]
** Fudge's attempts to order the execution of Hermione at the end of second year in front of the whole school unless Steve is brought to Britain to face trial for the murder of purebloods falls flat for three reasons: One, all the purebloods Steve had killed were involved in serious crimes, from Veela trafficking to outright terrorism and were sanctioned by the IWCO, meaning it is an international affair that Britain has ''no control'' over. Two, it is a blatant violation of international law. Said law was signed by all countries, including Britain, over 500 years ago. And three, if he had went through with it, not only would he be removed from office, it would be highly likely that the vast majority of the Fudge Administration would be arrested for various crimes, and most of the purebloods who supported Voldemort would likely be arrested and facing death for their crimes, as Fudge being removed means their main form of protection would be gone. [[spoiler: Sure enough, by the end of this, the Fudge Admin is on thin ice for this stunt.]]
** Intentionally done with Peter and his Animagus form. As Fudge and Dumbledore move Pettigrew to a normal cell, claiming that he never registered his Animagus form. Dumbledore knew Peter had a Animagus form and exploited the fact that Fudge didn't, nor did the Minister believe it wouldn't be done due to him using it for criminal activity. Summed up by Susan in Chapter 21.
---> '''Susan:''' Apparently if you aren't registered as an Animagus, then by default you aren't one. I'd love to know what the fuck Dumbass and Fudge were smoking when they decided that.
** When Dumbledore tries to bar Emily from going to Hogsmeade, he fails to realize that the Potters were not too happy about the magical binding contract to wed her to Lockhart. When Harry mentions that he did nothing about the contract, Dumbledore is forced to fold to avoid any investigations into that mess, knowing he could lose his Hogwarts position if the full truth came out.
** When Snape reveals that Hermione is sold to [=MacNair=] to Harry in a bid to get a violent reaction. It didn't occur that Harry would've learned the [[LaserGuidedAmnesia Obliviate spell]], nor did it occur to him that if this got to the staff, Snape would be fired and arrested for selling a magical creature protected by ICW law. Sure enough, Snape is forced to do the [[Film/TheRockyHorrorPictureShow Time Warp]] [[spoiler: and by Christmas, Harry [[DeathByAdaptation kills [=MacNair=] in retaliation.]]]]

Not only does Lila not consider how easily this could be disproven, the only members of the whole class who recognize the problems with this whole scenario are Marinette and Adrien. Alya also promptly posts the "big reveal" on her blog, spurring ''Hawkmoth himself'' to come crashing into the school, [[EvilGloating gloating about]] how idiotic Elayne was without realizing that the whole thing is just a {{Blatant Lie|s}}. Upon ripping her Earrings off and realizing he was fooled, he promptly makes {{Implied Death Threat}}s towards the poor UnwittingPawn.
--->'''Hawkmoth:''' Ladybug, how foolish of you to reveal yourself to a bunch of teenagers who know nothing but [[GossipyHens how to gossip]]! It's very cocky of you to reveal your identity to a camera with the expectation of beating me!

** The staff at [[SuckySchool Aldera]] propped Katsuki up as the BigJerkOnCampus, even tampering with the grades of other students in order to make him look better by comparison along with turning a blind eye to his {{Barbaric Bully}}ing. Izuku points out one of the glaring flaws in their plan by [[ArmorPiercingQuestion pointedly asking]] the Principal which middle school ''All Might'' attended.
** In addition, Izuku notes that all they accomplished with their blatant favoritism was making Katsuki [[ItsAllAboutMe extremely self-absorbed]]. Not only is it highly unlikely the egotistical SpoiledBrat would ''EVER'' acknowledge anyone else having a hand in ''HIS'' success, they're assuming that any of the teachers and staff who were complicit with boosting him up would still be around or able to benefit from his endorsement, as their crimes can easily be exposed.
** Despite watching Izuku blackmail their teacher with a [[CaughtOnTape recording]] of him breaking student-teacher confidentiality, Katsuki doesn't realize how easily ''he'' could fall victim to the same tactic until Izuku records him [[SuicideDare suicide baiting]] him.
** Hada Shiro posts incredibly nasty, Quirkist opinions online without ever considering how poorly these comments might reflect back upon him. This becomes a double example when Izuku sends evidence of Shiro's online activity to all the Pro Hero schools; as Principal Nezu explains when confronting Izuku afterwards, he'd also sabotaged Shiro's chances of getting into a ''normal'' high school, completely cutting off his academic future. If Nezu hadn't pulled some strings to get him into a school that specializes in tough cases, Izuku might have inadvertantly [[CreateYourOwnVillain created his own villain]].
** When Toshinori proposes that Izuku should clean up Dagobah Beach as part of his training, Izuku immediately asks about protective gear, pointing out all the sharp, rusty metal, a nearby biohazard bag, and that used needles and other hazards are hidden under the sand. He also notes that it's an ideal location for hiding bodies, and Toshinori agrees to talk to his police contacts and get some protective gear before they begin.
** Toshinori also realizes that he has no experience as a teacher. After discussing the matter with Nezu, they decide to [[spoiler:make him a teacher's aid instead, so he can provide assistance without being solely responsible for the class]].

While Alya and most of her classmates [[NoListeningSkills don't pay attention]] to any of the warnings Marinette gives about her upcoming trip, ''Miss Bustier'' doesn't have the excuse of being caught unawares and simply fails to consider that as their new and inexperienced class president, Alya might need her help and support as their teacher.
