** SuperSaiyaMan: ...while the episode is {{Anvillicious}}, it raises a few good points. Many anti-smoking groups ''do'' lie about the dangers of smoking, as well as harass people who made a ''choice'' to smoke. The whole point of the episode was that people should have a choice, not have laws forced to segregate them away from the general population. Matt and Trey have came out and said they hate it when people are harassed for smoking.

** Tropers/CabbitGirlEmi: The biggest sucky moment for the former would have to be the whole "Jews ''can't'' play basketball'' crap. The subplot is basically one of the worst ways to bash poor Kyle AGAIN! I have nothing against blacks, but [[StatusQuoIsGod Kyle is cuter in his normal, white and short self]]. And I'm certain that 2 years prior to this episode, there was a DisneyChannel movie called ''FullCourtMiracle'', which was about, guess what? Basketball-playing Jews.

HUH?! WTF? "Hennifer Lopez"/Mitch Conners played a major role in both 200 and 201, he didn't just randomly show up to motivate Cartman.

* Tropers/CrazyLuigi: My biggest what the fuck moment was on "201" where Cartman's hand puppet of Jennifer Lopez (or should I say "Hennifer Lopez"?) inexplicably returns ''just'' to say to him how he should be proud of how he's a "half Denver Bronco". Now it wasn't the fact that Eric Cartman's father was ''also'' Scott Tenorman's father that shocked me because it was actually quite a nice twist to the somewhat controversial and admittedly [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome awesome]] ending to "Scott Tenorman Must Die" because it actually makes you think. However, having "Hennifer Lopez" return just to help motivate Cartman just came way out of left field because I'm pretty sure that she died at the end of one episode. Hell, even Kyle practically ''shares'' my thoughts as to how it makes no sense at all.

* Tropers/Fairfield: The very worst moment I ever saw in ''South Park'''s long-running anti-activist, [[StatusQuoIsGod pro-Status-Quo]] crusade, was the episode "Butt Out." With little remorse, the creator's depict the tobacco company as friendly and forthcoming, and anti-smoking activists are shown as [[WallBanger willing to kill children]] to make a point. This episode seems outright worthy of being sued for slander.

** While this troper feels that SomeAnvilsNeededToBeDropped on ''FamilyGuy'', what enrages him is that Matt and Trey admitted to making the episode specifically because many fans listed ''FamilyGuy'' as their favorite show along with ''SouthPark''. They didn't say they disliked ''South Park''. They didn't even say they liked ''South Park'' slightly less than ''Family Guy''. They said they liked ''both'' shows, and in a disgusting display of disproportionate envy, the creators slung an insult at their loyal fans just because they had a different opinion. But then, what has ''South Park'' ever really been except one big "fuck you" to everyone who dares to have a different opinion than Matt and Trey? This was merely the point when it became blatant.

** I'm sorry, but you're saying there's an inconsistency with having a 'character' (which was, let's review, Cartman's hand with make-up and googly eyes on it while he did a fake accent) return for no reason after 'dying' (how does a hand with make-up on it die? Nevermind the fact Cartman ''admits to faking the whole thing'' right after it happens.), on a show that had, for several years, a RunningGag of a ''main character'' dying in horrible ways only to come back later with no explanation?

** Tropers/Thebiglloydtree- Though I agree the episode itself was done badly, it seems the entire episode was a parody of George Romero's Dead Series. It was accurate enough, but it just wasn't done in an amusing manner. The only really good part was the parody of the ''hidden bite'' victim of the newly homeless man. The majority of the rest of the episode just missed the mark.

* Tropers/Thormy: ''Cartoon Wars'' cemented South Park's level of suck in my mind. The preachiness and smug attitudes this show exudes over people each week is astonishing. Then of course, there are people who submit wholeheartedly to their concepts and ideas. Keep in mind that I don't care about FamilyGuy at this point, but I don't think people realize that South Park is lampshading the concept pretty heavily.

* Tropers/CabbitGirlEmi - I agree on SaraJaye's above post. Poop jokes are among the stupidest things that Trey and Matt can ever do. What else? [[TheWoobie Kyle]] bashing. The worst cases were "Mystery of the Urinal Deuce", "Major Boobage", and one of the episodes that I haven't seen do to obvious reasons, "Sexual Healing".

* "Scott Tenorman Must Die." Cartman forcing Scott to eat chili ''made from his own parents''... ugh, I get Cartman's supposed to be a jerkass, but that crossed over to CompleteMonster and was, overall, more than a tiny bit creepy.
** [[HarsherInHindsight It gets creepier]]: "201" has TheReveal that Scott's father [[spoiler:is also Cartman's]].
** I'd say this one almost goes beyond regular, since "Scott Tenorman Must Die" is on pretty much ''every'' top episode, fan favorite, and classic Cartman moment list out there.
***What do you mean exactly it "goes beyond the regular?" because it is popular? Because people have a different opinion than you?
*** Dude, calm the hell down. All they're saying is a lot of people loved the episode - sure, it might be a DMOS for a few, but it was a [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome CMOA]] or otherwise for more. [[YourMileageMayVary Such is the nature of the trope.]]
****Well, sorry. I was wondering if he was basically saying "it goes beyond the regular of a normal dethroning moment of suck because people like it."
** ''THANK YOU!'' I thought I was one of the few people who saw Cartman for what he is: a [[CompleteMonster Complete Monster]], and can' even ''think'' about that episode without feeling grossed out.
* The end of the ''SouthPark'' episode "Stanley's Cup." The show had been subverting tropes for years. So trying to play up a straight use of a trope, and then acting as though subverting it was supposed to be a big shock? That was the biggest WallBanger I ever got from that show. (Tropers/LordTNK)
** Kind of a LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt, except we already knew they would.
* The episode "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson" really felt up against [[Tropers/{{Eggie}} me]] the wrong way. The moral of this episode is that [[WallBanger no white person could understand the pain a black person feels when he or she is called a "nigger"]]. This episode puts a lot of emphasis on racial catagorization which [[UnfortunateImplications contradicts the moral of the earlier episode "Chef Goes Nanners".]]
** Also, the subplot with Cartman and the midget had a ''very'' unsatisfying payoff which had Cartman coming out as a blatant KarmaHoudini.
* Just like the "Homer getting raped by a panda part", there was a part of ''South Park'' [[{{Demetrios}} I]] also felt there was absolutely no justification for. Chef goes on vacation with this club he recently joined. Sounds innocent enough, but when he gets back...he becomes a pedophile who's obsessed with having sex with children. I can put up with a lot of things, but I draw the line at defiling the coolest character on the show.
** OK, this one must at least be understood in context. That episode was a blatant TakeThat against Chef's voice actor Isaac Hayes, who had just left the show in response an episode bashing Scientology (despite them bashing everything else until them). Matt and Trey felt personally insulted by his decision to leave, and figured that it just wouldn't be ''South Park'' if they handled the situation with quiet dignity. And thus, they (less obviously) made fun of Scientology further with that episode, [[spoiler: and [[DroppedABridgeOnHim killed off poor Chef in a very undignified way.]]]]
* I am only an occasional viewer of ''GhostHunters'', but even he knows what a massive CriticalResearchFailure the parody in the SouthPark episode ''Dead Celebrities'' was. [=TAPS=] not only usually stays pretty calm in the face of weird events, but they debunk mostly everything they see. A lot of fans are actually turned off by their extreme skepticism. I don't expect in-depth knowledge, but it's about as accurate as someone parodying South Park and portraying it as a Disney-style kids' cartoon.
** Exactly. The joke COULD have worked, if South Park had portrayed the Ghost Hunters squad differently (such as their knack for often claiming a place isn't haunted when evidence suggesting otherwise is very clear). However, ANYONE watching ONE EPISODE of Ghost Hunters could see that they almost NEVER get freaked out by "tapping" noises (it's always [[MemeticMutation the plumbing]] and they more or less instigate noises from ghosts rather than run away like scared schoolgirls from them.
* "The F Word": A few days after the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act passed, ''SouthPark'' did an episode about the word "fag" being applied to bikers instead of homosexuals which argued that the word is arbitrary and featured a black man being tied in chains and dragged around by bikers in a manner reminiscent of James Byrd's death. The show thrives on RippedFromTheHeadlines, but completely dismissing the legitimate concerns about slurs (which ''they themselves articulated'' in "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson" and "Chef Goes Nanners") while mocking the death of a man killed for racial reasons, all in response to hate crime legislation, was disgusting.
** What also sucked is how the boys were treated by that bitchy mayor. They're just kids! Why should you bother?! Sure, they called the bikers said word, but they deserved it for ruining everyone's fun with their noisy motorcycles!
* That episode with the internet going down; more specifically, Randy Marsh's 'release' when he sneaks into the one working computer to look at porn. It tried to [[CrossesTheLineTwice cross the line twice]] and, as far as I am concerned, ''failed miserably''.
* For me, it was the episode ''A Million Little Fibers''. Towelie was introduced as a joke character, [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] when Cartman calls him "the worst character ever" in his debut episode. Then, they decided to make an entire episode about him and Oprah's talking nether-regions. Towelie ended up being popular and fans wanted more, so they set out to create an episode so bad no one would ever want to see Towelie again.
** That would explain why the episode spends whole minutes doing nothing but showing static close-ups of said nether-regions (with clothes over them). You know it's bad when you're criticizing the laziness of the animators in an ''episode of South Park''.
* It's hard to pick a single "Butters gets grounded for all the wrong reasons"-DMOS. How about the ending of the episode where every girl wanted to be a slut? ''His parents sold him to Paris Hilton, and when she disappeared in Mr. Slave's ass, not being able to pay them, take a wild guess what happens to Butters.'' Good lord, they reached a level of unlikableness [[{{Futurama}} Zapp Brannigan]] can only dream of!
** Much, MUCH worse was one episode in which Cartman framed Butters for being disobedient. Thus, at the end of the episode, Butters' parents come home and [[AbusiveParents physically abuse Butters for something he didn't do]]. Cartman just sits back and watches it all with a bag of popcorn. And that's how it ends. [[KarmaHoudini Additionally, he doesn't get any punishment for it whatsoever.]]
*** This was so bad that Comedy Central forbade the writers to do something this horrible to Butters ever again. [[ExecutiveMeddling Who would have thought the guys at the top would have the same opinion as the viewers for once?]]
*** it's all worth it for the episode in which he (with Cartman's help, of course) smears shit all over the inside of the house for extremely convoluted reasons. After his parents come home, [[SubvertedTrope they immediately understand why he did it]] and ''apologize''.
* I was really pissed at the subplot of "Major Boobage". Kyle's dad Gerald becomes a {{Jerkass}} and has all of the cats taken away from South Park just because their urine is a "drug" that is used for "cheesing". And the worst part? While he and his friends were helping Kenny to stop cheesing, Kyle [[{{IdiotBall}} foolishly takes one of the cats home]], and then his mother Shiela finds it in his dresser drawer while putting away laundry, leading to a brief argument/intervention. To add insult to injury, his parents didn't even give him a chance to explain, Shiela accuses him of lying, and Gerald grounds him. Why do Trey and Matt hate Kyle so much these days?! (Tropers/CabbitGirlEmi)
** In that case, the episode "Pee". Well, let's see: Kyle is forced to DRINK it and eat a banana later. Why am I mentioning the banana? ''Because he hates them even more than pee, and HE GETS KILLED IF HE DOESN'T DO IT.'' What. The. Fuck.
*** The banana was thought to be the cure for the so-called urinary madness because it pacified the monkeys the government urinated on. Remember, in South Park, AdultsAreUseless. What's really bad is that [[BumblingDad Randy]] got to be the hero instead of Kyle. Randy's so overrated. (Tropers/CabbitGirlEmi)
* How about just Kyle bashing in general since season 4? What the hell did he do to deserve it? Nothing! Sure, he and Cartman are VitriolicBestBuds, but Cartman usually does it first. It's bad enough that Cartman bashes him, but several other characters have done that at least once, including and up to HIS OWN BEST FRIEND, STAN MARSH. Geez, why? Why, exactly? Why? It's bad enough that Butters gets bashed!
** And there's the occasional negativity between Stan and his father Randy. Should we let a weirdo like Randy get pissed at a bright kid like Stan for no adequate reason some of the time? NO! Stan bashing is worse than Butters bashing, but Kyle bashing is still the worst. (Tropers/CabbitGirlEmi)
*** Agreed that the Kyle bashing needs to just friggin' stop already. While it's normal for sane and innocent people to get the short end of the stick on this show, the writers seem to ''get off'' on hurting Kyle! At least for all the crap Butters goes through he has yet to lose his faith in humanity and almost ''die from a hemorrhoid''.
* The Indiana Johnes subplot of "China Problem". The kids spend the whole episode angsting and whining over a shitty quadruqel to a cheesy flick and treating it as SeriousBusiness and NOBODY calls them out on how pathetic they look. Moreover, ''adults'' join them in their laments and the universal whinefest culminates with exposing Lucas and Spielberg as real-life rapists of movie characters. WHERE THE HELL IS SUBVERSION IN HERE?!! Common, this is ''SouthPark''! The ultimate slaughterhouse of sacred cows! They had a perfect opportunity to ridicule both Hollywood actors for being shameless money-grubbing harlots AND whimpering movie fans, and they completely botched it.
** I'm pretty sure the over-the-top portrayal of the complaints was the point, [[StealthParody they ''were'' making fun of people who complained about that movie in real life.]]
**[[WallBanger Nope. They actually thought it was that bad]], according to the [[DVDCommentary mini-commentary]].
* I find shows like ''SouthPark'' to be offensively bad, whether they take RefugeInVulgarity or not. But having [[TheCrocodileHunter Steve Irwin]] appear at a halloween party right after he died is beyond tasteless. He's even impaled with that Stingray and appeared in front of {{Satan}}. There's not anything funny about that, and it was in the worst taste possible.
** [[EvenEvilHasStandards Even Satan himself]] [[LampshadeHanging calls him out on it]].
* The episode "More Crap" in general. Just...''ew'', okay? Did we ''really'' need an entire episode dedicated to that?! Mr. Hankey and the show's occasional poop jokes are one thing, but this was just too much. Ew, ''ew'', '''ew'''.
** [[BetterThanABareBulb At least the title of the episode pretty much lampshades it.]]
*** Yeah, gotta give 'em credit for ''acknowledging'' it.

to:

\n* "Scott Tenorman Must Die." Cartman forcing Scott to eat chili ''made from his own parents''... ugh, I get Cartman's supposed to be a jerkass, but that crossed over to CompleteMonster and was, overall, more than a tiny bit creepy.\n** [[HarsherInHindsight It gets creepier]]: "201" has TheReveal that Scott's father [[spoiler:is also Cartman's]].\n** I'd say this one almost goes beyond regular, since "Scott Tenorman Must Die" is on pretty much ''every'' top episode, fan favorite, and classic Cartman moment list out there.\n***What do you mean exactly it "goes beyond the regular?" because it is popular? Because people %%Examples have a different opinion than you?
* The end of the ''SouthPark'' episode "Stanley's Cup." The show had
been subverting tropes for years. So trying cut due to play up a straight use of a trope, and then acting as though subverting it was supposed to be a big shock?
Slave's ass,
