* Tipping Point Tour: Tatsuya organizes a solo tournament with very selected contestants. It's Team Kokujin and Team Jundou's introductory arc. In fact, they make up most of the contestants in the tournament.

* DyeHard: Has strands of blue hair.

* DyeHard: Always dyes her hair big time. Usually [[RoseHairedGirl pink]], but [[TrueBlueFemininity blue]] [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair is not unseen]].

* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: When they are in their third outfits, it takes distinguishing Koukyu's hair to realize that it's really them. Houka is barely recognizable being {{Stripperiffic}} [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and]] [[DyeHard blonde]].

* RealMenWearPink: Even his hair has a [[DyeHard pink hue]].

* BadassMustache: It's a fake 'stache. But since he [[DyeHard dyes]] his blonde hair brown to look like Chouji, he puts it on as to not have his Chouji persona confounded.

* ClippedWingAngel: [[spoiler:Once his body is destroyed, he possesses Satome. His Satome-possessing form is much less powerful than his previous PhysicalGod form, and in fact just takes Kiyoshi.]]

** JerkassHasAPoint: Touma was utterly fooled when he tried recruiting Chouji, since he didn't know that [[spoiler:Niki was impersonating Chouji.]]

* [[spoiler:PsychicAssistedSuicide: Does it on 8 persons simultaneously.]]

--> An old half-Japanese half-French scientist involved with dubious affairs regarding drugs and doping, he got chastised and expelled by the martial arts competitive field. He formed a group of scientists as crazy as he is, keeping his experiments off of the eyes of those who despised him for that. He plans his vengeance in secret, aiming to take back his place and write any taboo off of the fighting field so he can take his place back.

* [[spoiler:EvilerThanThou: Pulls this on Ringoto, revealing he was destined to become the God Ringoto longed for, only doing so required him to reclaim the portions of his magic in several people's blood by having them sacrifice themselves for him. Turns out Ringoto was one of the victims.]]

** Not really family, but the orphanage Akira works in has gathered many characters together. Houka, Tenko, Izumi and Haruka all live (or lived just before operation G started) there; not to mention the visits of Touma, Niki and Miki (who in fact founded it).

** The second is InTheBlood, and gives [[AxCrazy the mindset of a machine of destruction]], making them [[UnstoppableRage ignore everything]]. This is done by reacting to a magic trigger. Setsuna, Kiyoshi and Akemi have it. The three members of Team Kokujin[[spoiler:, Ringoto and Mashin]] can trigger this. Ginshi can also easily feel when said power is activated. This power is also held by Kuuki, Aoshi and Haruka, but only they can trigger it, and they are unaffected by any other trigger.

* LightIsNotGood: Ringoto, the BigBad, dresses mostly in light colors. [[spoiler:And Mashin is a very evil ManInWhite.]]
* MegaCorp: Number Zero. Half the characters can somehow relate to it.

** [[spoiler: Their attack on Team Magou drops the hero part: it was only justified by Team Magou's treachery, even though Team Magou's gambit basically helped them despite failing.]]

* NotInThisForYourRevolution: She's against Operation G [[spoiler:partially just to grab more influence and good PR, which angers Ginshi a great deal]].

* BottleFairy: She loves drinking, but that makes her performances unreliable at best.

* HardDrinkingPartyGirl: Her FatalFlaw, aside from wrath. She looks underage, so Kuuki and Koukyu try to avoid giving her too much because of potential controversy.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: To its parent fiction [[DarthWiki/{{A-KoProject}} A-Ko Project]]. Certain aspects are inverted: Operation G is portrayed in a much more negative light, and [[spoiler:only four characters survive.]]

* KamehameHadoken: He is somewhat specialized in his fireball moves, [[spoiler:though his [[LimitBreak Ultimate]] looks like he's channelling [[GuiltyGear Justice's Gamma Ray]] rather than Ryu's fireballs.]]

* OhCrap: [[spoiler:When he runs to Touma's rescue after Seino and Setsuna are ambushed by Torou and Keiko, he runs into [[TheDreaded Hakkou]]. Cue CurbStompBattle.]]

* SpamAttack: His Tiger Hunt.
* TechnicalPacifist: He disagrees with the orders Touma has been given to investigate the Operation G staff's enemies, because he'd rather stay out of his enemies' faces. [[spoiler:Rightfully so, when he realizes Rikuto pulled a [[NotSoHarmlessVillain New Face Team]] on Team Konryuu and Keiko and Torou are blocking the path to his teammates, leaving him alone to try and save Touma.]]

* JerkassFacade: Compared to girls, she can be unusually rough in her speech. [[JustifiedTrope She's been]] [[RaisedByDudes raised with dudes]].

* AntiVillain: Moreso than every other one. Types I and II.

* {{Badass}}: To a certain degree. He can only fight short, but he can deliver quite the [[CurbStompBattle curbstomp]] as long as the fight is short.

* BattleAura: When he is serious, he has one, though this is a mark of the incoming HeroicRROD.

* HiddenDepths: Deep inside, he has a HairTriggerTemper that would make him the RedOni to Shakurou's Blue.

* UnstoppableRage: [[spoiler:When he stalls for Kiyoshi, it takes a load of time and people to bring him down, because of this.]]

* ShowSomeLeg: Her third suit. Akina threw quite the temper tantrum when she saw it, thinking Aoshi and Kiyoshi were making her look like a prostitute, but when she gets to Aoshi (the one she judged guilty for it as [[AgentPeacock he was dressed very similarly to her despite being a man]]), he tells her that Haruka composed her attire herself this once.
* StrongerSibling: If you look who she's an {{Expy}} of, you'd think she is. [[SNKBoss Her sister]] [[InvertedTrope doesn't think so.]]
* SugaryMalice: Her first thoughtful persona has her being very creepy.

* KickTheDog: [[spoiler:She is the cause of Touma's death, and stalled him when he planned to get back at Ringoto. She had absolutely no reason to do so other than disliking him because of [[SinsOfOurFathers his grandfather]]. '''[[ThisIsForEmphasisBitch Bitch.]]''']]

* PoweredByAForsakenChild: Inverted roles: she absorbed the lifeforce of her kidnapper, or whatever few remained when she got there.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Much like a WildCard team. They [[OutGambitted out-gambit]] the VillainProtagonist teams, but they are Villain Protagonists too, and what they want isn't quite revealed...

* EnigmaticMinion: [[spoiler:To the Operation G staff. Though they are kept in the dark for most of the real thing.]]

* TechnicolorFire: Green, like her inspiration [[Characters/TheKingOfFightersTheTalesOfAsh Ash Crimson]].

* [[AbsurdlyYouthfulMother Absurdly Youthful Adoptive Mother]]: She's 39, and even though she took in Tsuyoshi like an adoptive son, she looks nowhere near her age of 39.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler:She isn't happy to hear about the perspective of Miki grabbing more power than she already has, and even less about [[FateWorseThenDeath what happened to Satome]]. [[ThePowerofHate Her anger]] gives her a second wind and she gets back at Miki, dying in the fight but denying Miki a way out of her crashing airship. Satome is saved.]]

** Same applies to Tsuyoshi as her somewhat-adopted-son, since she takes him in when he needs.

* KickTheDog: Oh so majorly. [[spoiler:Once Operation G is over, he unceremoniously leaves everyone but Mashin out in the blue without the slightest care. When Seino and Akira call him out on not even paying them for their trouble, he kills them. Then, when Eiko refuses to keep fighting (because [[LoveRedeems she fell for Shakurou]] and broke out of her BrainwashedAndCrazy state), he throws her into [[BottomlessPits the Stream]].]]

* [[spoiler:SuicideAttack: Kiyoshi pulls this on a Mashin-possessed Satome, punching both into the Stream and killing the three for good.]]

** Several attack names of hers tell even more: ''Oni Danzai'' (''Demon, Guilty!''), ''Houkabarai'' (''Houka-exorcising''), and ''Houka no Shittsuitou'' (''Houka's Descending Cry'') engrave her dislike of Houka in stone, since it's like her attacks were designed to kill Houka. [[spoiler:Houka eventually dies by ''Houkabarai''.]]

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: She is born brainwashed, and was so during her first fight. Then, when she was dumped to her own devices, not knowing what to do, BrainwashResidue ensued. Even though she made a friend of Eiko, she got shooed off by Ringoto, and Mashin didn't care the slightest bit. She [[VillainousBreakdown breaks down]], and her berserk rage towards Houka got worse as it was her only remaining defining characteristic. [[spoiler:They end up killing each other.]]
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: From the start. [[spoiler:Mashin gave her genetic material belonging to [[PayEvilUntoEvil Fuushi]] and [[HotBlooded Karyu]] on top of Houka's.]]

* ExpendableClone: She's treated as such by Mashin, her creator, and Ringoto doesn't even spare a thought -- he even refuses her to talk to the only person who could understand her -- Eiko. She never lives it down even though she dies furthering their goals, though at that point she doesn't care.
* KnightOfCerebus: [[spoiler:She first appears to stall for Ringoto's escape. This means Operation G is a success, and since Mashin gets out unspotted, Team Magou's machinations were for naught. She's also the first to talk about killing someone, and even though she's not the first to succeed and only gets a MutualKill, her arrival shifted the tone to dark.]]

* NietzscheWannabe: [[spoiler:After she gets rejected by Mashin, she just wants to destroy the world. Her plan after killing Houka was to destroy the Stream.]]

* PowersAsPrograms: Even though she's not a robot, her attacks have a codified name. [[labelnote:Example: Type [number] - [attack's name]]]

--> The supposed "God" whose existence means the success of [[TitleDrop Operation G]]. Part-magical entity, part-human and part-machine, detaining battle data recorded by Touma, ability to create various drugs composed by Natsuki, a nigh-perfect magical energy flow based on Niki's theory, and ability to use and make all kinds of weapons Ginshi recorded in her database make her the "perfect being" Ringoto longed for. [[spoiler:Her mentality, though, isn't quite what he expected. She is not only mellow, but quiet and human-loving.]]

* [[spoiler:BrainwashedAndCrazy: Her second appearance. At her first, she was just a playful girl walking at Ringoto's side like a child, and once she snapped out, she started crying, refusing to fight, and calling out Ringoto for his doings before getting killed off.]]

* MassOhCrap: [[spoiler:She kills off [[TheDreaded Hakkou]] [[AnyoneCanDie and]] [[MadeOfIron Tatsuya]] in less than ten minutes. She then easily slays Keiko. Cue this very justified reaction as even the full-of-OneWingedAngel Team Mugen gets curbstomped.]]

** The first is a magical genetic alteration that makes one naturally strong, but also gives a OneWingedAngel SuperpoweredEvilSide that can be triggered consciously, but usually is used unconsciously due to [[EmotionalPowers excess of negative emotion]]; it also tends to automatically trigger when darkness magic is used. It also gives a HealingFactor, though it is mitigated by the PainfulTransformation coming beforehand. Fuushi, Kiyoshi, and Natsuki have this one.

* HighlyVisibleNinja: Team Kouei. Even Niki is much more traditionally ninja-esque than them, while barely even trying.

* LightIsNotGood: Ringoto, the BigBad, dresses mostly in light colors. [[spoiler:And Mashin is a [[EvilerThanThou very evil]] ManInWhite.]]

* BadassBookworm: Mid-HeroicBSOD, she started reading because she thought about not being able to fight at high levels anymore. Even after it, she still tries to be this, but just fails to understand books, because she has been skipping lessons all her childhood. Her failings are PlayedForLaughs.
** CuteBookworm: Same failure as a bookworm, but you can consider her cute.

* NotInThisForYourRevolution: She's against Operation G [[spoiler:partially just to grab more influence, which angers Ginshi a great deal]].

* [[NotSoHarmlessVillain Not So Harmless]] HeroAntagonist: While Gontorou and Keiko look serious, Rikuto's gests caused Team Ougoku to dismiss them as a real threat. [[spoiler: And then, Rikuto pops up backstage and - unhindered by anything - attacks Touma directly.]]

* CombatPragmatist: More "tactician pragmatist". He assumes the façade of a BoisterousWeakling to totally fool Team Konryuu and get right at Touma's face unhindered.

* InformedAttribute: His fake family name is given solely because he's Rigan's brother. He's Korean, not Japanese.

* SinsOfOurFathers: Pursuing Touma because Touma's grandpa killed his [[DisappearedDad dad]]. He quickly realizes how wrong this was, though, [[spoiler:when Natsuki fights him to his death over it]].

** BigGuyFatalitySyndrome: [[spoiler:Though he isn't the first person to die, and it isn't a HeroicSacrifice: [[KickTheDog Ringoto kills him]].]]

* FlashStep: She aids herself with earth magic. That's actually the only magic stuff she can do.

* TheDreaded: To the Operation G Staff. As much as they respect Miki, they fear having to fight Hakkou, because he is more powerful than them. [[spoiler:The trope turns around when Eiko survives his brutal onslaught and kills him in return.]]

* BadassBiker: The three usually travel with motorbikes.

* GoneHorriblyRight: See AbusiveParents. Sure, Natsuki beat the tar out of him without him having the right to hit her back, but he resisted and managed to train, giving him a [[MadeOfIron battle-hardened body and mind that clearly surpasses his half-brother's]].
* ItsAllAboutMe: To a degree. He still considers whatever his team needs, but he doesn't give anything about the rest of the anti-Operation-G teams. [[spoiler:He willingly triggers Akemi's insanity because it cripples Operation G supporters off of Setsuna.]]

* TrademarkFavouriteFood: Ice cream!

** BadassGrandpa: 55 years old, but not technically a grandpa. [[spoiler:And he never gets to be, since not only him but his two sons and his adoptive daughter die.]]

* {{Determinator}}: [[spoiler:Along with his body's natural toughness, this attribute explains why it's so hard for him to go down. He endures twice as big a beatdown as Eiko did to Hakkou.]]

* McNinja: Of those three, only Akemi is born Japanese. Rigan and Yuuji are born American.

* YouKilledMyFather: [[spoiler: To Niki, when she meets him over the corpses of her father and Yuuji. She kills him in the ensuing battle.]]

* BadassBookworm: She is all too happy to state that she could inflict a CurbStompBattle on her sister.

* DarkMagicalGirl: She's distant and aloof to hide her emotions, wears a black cape and has dark-elemental powers (as well as light, but that's for something else); yup, that fits.

* BloodKnight: He enjoys generally the fighting itself, though he doesn't enjoy the potential harsh consequences. Don't get him pissed though...

* UnstoppableRage: [[spoiler:Once Niki dies, he forfeits his sanity and goes AxCrazy on Team Kouei (or rather, Akemi and Rigan since Niki already killed Yuuji), killing off Rigan in the process.]]

* BadassBiker: [[spoiler:Crosses into BigDamnHeroes (or BigDamnVillains) to bail Houka out when she's cornered by Team Mugen and Miki: he drives past Miki at high speed and whacks her with a cane while at it, then quickly takes Houka on board and leaves.]]

* HellBentForLeather: His second outfit. He suggests the same fashion to Houka and she runs with it too. Kuuki's comment:

* WouldntHitAGirl: Less than Aoshi. His reluctance doesn't hinder him the very least bit when in competition, even though he'd still complain about it onec he's done.

It also make them able to sense other lifeforms with that same gift. Seino and Tsuyoshi possess it, with Tsuyoshi fully accepting it and Seino struggling against it. It has a counteracting opposite which Karyu and Hakkou have (unwittingly so for Karyu until the later parts).

* GoodIsNotSoft: A good chunk of the anti-Operation G teams, if not just aout everyone of them.

* LightIsNotGood: Ringoto [[spoiler:and Mashin]] are clothed in light colors, but they're the main villains.

* NotJustATournament: Every damn ime, for obvious reasons.

** InvertedTrope: In fact, Team Ougoku itself doesn't act, except by protecting Niki from the teams intent on stopping the project.
* YouDidntAsk: My brother actually considered the Operation G staff as heroes.\\
We're talking about those guys who are creating a PersonOfMassDestruction in utter secret, and are willing or accepting [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt a new world where everyone is in fear of a newly-created God]], but I had to point it out that Ringoto wasn't as benevolent as he expected.
