** Moogi is a [[CanadaEh Canadian]] Antola Maeir fangirl who likes video games. She enjoys [[RunningGag throwing boots]] at the characters whenever she feels like it, and although she's a huge ShipperOnDeck for [[OfficialCouple Xantola]], she seems to enjoy tormenting Antola and Xana on occasion by doing what she can to win the former's affection. HilarityEnsues as, no matter what she tries, it never seems to work.

* WidgetSeries: With a series that involves sports sabotage, a {{Mind Screw}}-inducing {{Magical Girl}} plotline, romantic drama, and plenty of filler, this is to be expected.

** [[LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya The Melancholy of Mirsha Grelinek]] was a {{fanfiction}} that Ruko was trying to make, but, she has nosy parents...

* AnAxeToGrind: After choosing a random weapon off of a shelf, Al's primary weapon becomes an axe.

* InvasionOfTheBabySnatchers: Star Corporations is notorious for this, to the point where probably Valka's biggest concern about having a baby sister is "[[{{AdultFear}} what if they take her, too]]".

** A nice way to set Derlyn and Prytariel off is to [[FoeYay ship them with each other]]. Too bad ''everyone'' ships [[FoeYay Prylyn]] because of Mirsha.

** A common method of attack by the villains. A tell-tale sign of brainwashing in this roleplay happens when a person randomly falls in love with a person they would never consider falling in love with. If Timu starts flirting with Antola, for instance, or if Valka starts romantically defending [[{{FoeYay}} Lyvon]] (or for that matter, anyone other than Layton), they're most likely brainwashed.

** Zax; especially considering his relationship with Feldon, and his heavily implied (yet only slight) crush on Antola.
*** However, he seems to fall under ButNotTooBi, as his crush on Antola is currently the only mentioned, canonical proof that he's also attracted to his own gender.
** Mirsha claims to be attracted to both genders... but is HappilyMarried to Foltaggio, who is a guy, probably making her ButNotTooBi.
** Etoile could count, as she likes both Stelle and Thornton.

The Jellyneo [[Website/{{Neopets}} Altador Cup Vi]] Roleplay is a roleplay created by a user named Moogi on May 24, 2011. Having been around for one year, it may be widely regarded as one of the longest roleplays on Jellyneo Forums in a long time, if not the longest, finally ending at around ''2950'' pages (given you're using the forum default) and about 5-6 active participators out of about 10 (a good number considering most roleplays start with about five or six and only one or two people participate). It's sequel is continued on that same topic.

The Altador Cup Vi roleplay is based on a yearly site event on Website/{{Neopets}}, where 18 different teams compete in a sport called Yooyuball and 3 other side games. Because the event itself has no clear plot, the plot for this roleplay (and last year's) is made up as we go. The plot itself involves a group of AC Players trying to stop brainwashed and previously-fired players, like [[{{NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast}} Tormo 'The Terror' Frein]] and Vitri Sitol from sabotaging the Cup, particularly with magic.... Nothing else more simple than that, however it's everything else that happens WHILE they do this that tends to be more complex.

* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Stelle is scared to death of the Faerie Stars, Star Corporations' very own Quirky Miniboss Squad, apparently because they fight so hard that they gave her scars (and that was only ''in training'').

* ManlyManGirlyInterest:
** Despite being a male, Antola has claimed to collect Usukis; better described as the Barbie of Neopets.
** Both Antola, Tandrak, and various other male characters are all fans of 'My Little Uni', the Neopian version of WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic.

* AffectionateNickname: Xana often refers to Antola as 'Anty' more so than his actual name.
*** Zax does, too, but more so due to a very [[TrueCompanions close friendship]] as opposed to any sort of romance between the two.

*** This leads to that one part of Valka's real name (Valkaine) being removed in the future when Layton dies, when she [[FaceHeelTurn Face Heel Turns]] into AxCrazy, DarkMagicalGirl, [[NameOfCain Kaine]].
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Timu, a perfectly harmless ([[BerserkButton 99.9% of the time]]) and kind Lupe, decided to date Tandrak, a rebellious Gelert (however he claims to be not as evil as he is usually claimed to be by [[FriendlyRivalry Valka]]

* ArchEnemy: Most characters have one:
** Mirsha with [[SchoolYardBullyAllGrownUp Zayle]].
** Derlyn with [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Coco]], [[WhosLaughingNow Kak]][[KilledOffForReal oni]], and [[FoeYay Prytariel]].
** [[OfficialCouple Antola]] ''[[OfficialCouple and]]'' [[OfficialCouple Xana]] with [[MurderTheHypotenuse 'Dirty' Navers]]. Especially Xana.
* AscendedExtra: Although other characters could qualify under this trope, [[{{Keet}} Zax]] has gone a long way from his first appearance in this roleplay, to his most recent. He started off simply as a stalkerish NPC who appeared here and there, wanting to help the main characters, to the TagalongKid of [[TheHero Antola's]] FiveManBand, to the official [[TheBigGuy Big Guy]] of the same group. As of recent, not only is he no longer an NPC (now taken by roleplay creator, Moogi), but in that same FiveManBand, he's now TheLancer, replacing DemotedToExtra and [[FaceHeelTurn Face Heel Turned]] Prytariel.
** Valka was originally just a random trainee, but she is now essentially as important as the others.
*** Though currently, she has been going into [[ConvenientComa convenient comas]], so she has a slightly smaller role in recent arcs.

** Derlyn went from being a brainwashed saboteur whose mom worked with Antola's dad (The latter is still true to this day, however.) to the BigGirl (in replacement of [[TheLancer Zax]]) of [[TheHero Antola's]] FiveManBand, and throws objects at everyone (mostly [[ButtMonkey Foltaggio]], however) and the person that the saboteurs want dead. She is also the female lead of the roleplay, as her puppeteer, Ruko is just as active on the roleplay as Moogi.
** Does a particular mysterious figure who came from the future to free the Faerie Stars from a trap ring a bell? No? Then do [[{{Yandere}} these]] [[SuperpoweredEvilSide tropes]] [[MysticalWhiteHair jog]] [[BreakTheCutie your]] memory?
* AuthorAvatar: All the active roleplayers have one of these, referred to as puppeteers by themselves and the characters they control. Very often they'll use their AuthorPowers to torment their own characters, which has resulted in ''quite'' a few instances of RageAgainstTheAuthor. If you haven't guessed already, there's NoFourthWall.

* AxCrazy: The Faerie Stars, more so than any of the other Magical Girls.

** Valka's is triggered if she is called a Tandrak fangirl.
*** Also, just try to insult Valka's current boyfriend, Yooyuball MVP Layton Vickles. We dare you.
*** Vitri learned that the hard way...
*** Lyvon suffered even more after poisoning Layton. Not only did she blast him three times, but she also used a blaster to burn his hair off!
** Prytariel's is triggered if she is constantly being teased by anyone (particularly Tandrak) as being Antola's girlfriend.
*** Or with Rinok as [[{{Jerkass}} Mir]][[ShipperOnDeck sha]] [[FullNameUltimatum found out]], or being called a {{Tsundere}}.
*** Mirsha pushing both of them is a [[OncePerEpisode daily basis]] as of now.
*** Until ChuckCunninghamSyndrome happened to Prytariel...
** Tandrak's is [[{{Embarrassing Nickname}} being called Shayla]].
*** Another one, recently found by Antola, is joking about the fact some people pair him with Garven Hale.
*** During which Valka always likes to remind him that he gave Garven LaserGuidedAmnesia in an AlternateContinuity.
** Vitri's is potentially triggered by anything that opposes him.
** Timu's is the following: Anyone hurting her friends, or anyone who insults her boyfriend, Tandrak. Hopefully you don't [[{{GroinAttack}} suffer like Lyvon did]] for triggering both.

*** Valka took advantage of this, using her blaster to burn his hair to a crisp as retribution for messing with Layton.

*** However, if you hurt Thornton, that triggers it even more...
** If you dare kill Mirsha, or any of Mirsha's acquaintances, you ''will'' get killed by Derlyn. Just to warn you.
*** Mirsha also has a similar BerserkButton to her sister. It's triggered by hurting any of her teammates and ''their'' acquaintances
** Kaine's is practically Etoile's entire existence.
*** Valka's entire existence is also now her Berserk Button, despite the fact that she wouldn't exist if it weren't for her.

** A nice way to set [[{{Tsundere}} Derlyn]] [[ArchEnemy and]] [[{{Tsundere}} Prytariel]] off is to [[FoeYay ship them with each other]]. Too bad ''everyone'' ships [[FoeYay Prylyn]] because of [[ShipperOnDeck Mir]][[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} sha]].

*** As of recent, she just admitted to being one.

*** Unless if you're saying this about a Grundo, she really dislikes it when you use the word [[FantasticSlurs 'jiyeon']] in front of her. Especially if they use it to describe someone that she cares about and ''especially'' if the person who says this is a Grundo.

* BetaCouple: Elbin/Fenny, Sela/Garven, Valka/Layton, Tandrak/Timu, Mirsha/Foltaggio, Derlyn/Zenor...there are tons of these.
* BigBad: The roleplay doesn't have a clear cut BigBad, but there are quite a few candidates.
** 'Squeaky' Tressif: He leads the current group of saboteurs.
** Mirsha Grelinek: She led the first ever group of saboteurs, and was credited (under her maiden name) to be the first saboteur. She might not count as she did HeelFaceTurn, through.
** 'Dirty' is also a major villain.
*** Who was killed by Mirsha to wipe him from existence.
** Even though Kaine is only the Big Bad of the Star Corporations arc, she has been implied to have enough power to easily contend and/or beat the other saboteurs.
** Cyrus triumphs them all by somehow being an utter bastard who kills his children, threatens to kill his niece, and allowed the first two to become the canidates for being a BigBad. He is also very powerful, as he came up with a brainwashing that can only (quickly) be undone by ThePowerOfLove, despite his claims.

** This is also Harsher in Hindsight.
* BigNo: Lyvon's response to having his hair fried by a blaster.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: A common method of attack by the villains. A tell-tale sign of brainwashing in this roleplay happens when a person randomly falls in love with a person they would never consider falling in love with. If Timu starts flirting with Antola, for instance, or if Valka starts romantically defending [[{{FoeYay}} Lyvon]] (or for that matter, anyone other than Layton), they're most likely brainwashed.

* BreakingTheFourthWall: To the point majority of the characters CONVERSE with their roleplayers later on.

*** Antola plays along with it, and earns some neopoints by winning.

* ButtMonkey: Tandrak... especially considering the fact the Puppeteers (particularly Moogi) claim he's the only character they've considered killing off.

* CainAndAbel: Mirsha, between the time she made a FaceHeelTurn, and the time she made a HeelFaceTurn during the first Cup, was in this kind of situation with Derlyn.
* CainAndAbelAndSeth: Baelia, Valka, and Al get along just fine, but add Kaine to the situation...to put it kindly, none of them get along with her. [[{{Yandere}} And for good reason.]]

* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: A few examples:
** Mirsha fits this trope well, anything she says is considered Cloudcuckoolanderish. It's even been {{lampshaded}} a few times.
*** It apparently runs in the family! Her mother, [[BunnyEarsLawyer Faith]], is known for being clueless.
** Elbin Towse and arguably Coco Metrone fit this trope pretty well.
* CranialEruption: After Mirsha goes too far in shipping again, Derlyn apparently gave her one of these.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Zax has one of these. He was [[ParentalAbandonment abandoned]] soon after he was born, mainly because his [[TheFamilyThatSlaysTogether entire family was made up of criminals]], who wanted him only to be safe. At least, that's what he assumed before he found out his parents had another child shortly after that, who not only looked just like him, but was [[ReplacementSibling named after him]], and instead of being abandoned, helped out his family execute their crimes. The closest thing he had to family was [[BigBrotherInstinct Mor Gollog]], but because he was [[ParentalAbandonment abandoned as well]], they spent almost their entire life before the Altador Cup V living homeless. The fact that Zax is the ultimate {{Keet}} after going through all this and more is surprising to everyone that he's mentioned his life story to.
** Xana had her entire family StuffedInAFridge in front of her when she was younger.
*** It was [[StalkerWithACrush 'Dirty' Navers]] who killed her family.
** Mirsha was [[KidsAreCruel bullied]] because she [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer has]] [[AttentionDeficitOohShiny ADHD]], causing her to be [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes afraid of quite a lot of things]] and [[ShrinkingViolet have almost no self-esteem whatsoever]].
*** The thing that she's [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes afraid of]] most are [[FantasticRacism Grundos]] because [[SchoolyardBullyAllGrownUp Zayle Sufhaux]] was her most prominent bully.
* DatingWhatDaddyHates: Similar to the very first trope, Timu states her family hates 'bad boys', which is arguably a good description of her boyfriend Tandrak.

* DefeatMeansFriendship: The way that the group (especially Etoile) is going towards with Stelle.

* DreamLand: Also known as the 'dreamworld', is the place where each character is sent to after passing out.
* DysfunctionalFamily: There are quite a few of these.
* EmbarrassingMiddleName: Antola's middle name is 'Huozai', which is apparently Chinese (or in this case, Shenkese) for fire (excluding accents).

* EmbarrassingNickname: Lyvon is often referred to as 'Shampoo' throughout the roleplay.
** At one point Lyvon also gained the nickname 'Popcorn' due to the strange hairdo he had previously.
** When Prytariel is embarrassed by something Tandrak says, she calls him 'Lysander,' his real name. While not that embarrassing, he still doesn't like it.
*** Eventually, due to Tandrak's reputation of having Antola's [[{{MamaBear}} mom]] dragging him into their supply closet whenever he does something bad (for example, [[{{WouldHitAGirl}} hitting a girl]]), Prytariel gave him the nickname 'Lysander of the Maeirs' Supply Closet'. Needless to say, he hates this more than simply 'Lysander'.
** Similar to the Tandrak example (despite the fact her's is more of an Embarrassing Last Name, and it's not embarrassing.), Mirsha doesn't like it when people use her maiden name, Fonnet. [[OncePerEpisode When she brings up Rintariel,]] it'll probably end with Prytariel saying her maiden name.

** Due to his lack of strength, Zenor has gained the nickname 'Puny [=McPunyson=]', having first been used by [[MurderTheHypotenuse Har]][[KilledOffForReal lis]].
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Tormo himself claimed that he wasn't planning on destroying the entire stadium, having heard that Bill's Shadow Yooyus took it down.

** Although the latter was technically due to partial brainwash, Montecito has [[{{FaceHeelTurn}} Face Heel Turned]] ''twice''.

* {{Fangirl}}: Valka is one of Layton Vickles, while her [[{{WhatCouldHaveBeen}} Scrapped Persona]], Valeria, is one of Tandrak.

** It doesn't help that the two above are subject to this because they have [[AttentionDeficitOohShiny ADHD]], something that Grundos normally hate.
* FantasticSlurs: The word 'jiyeon' is an anti-[[AttentionDeficitOohShiny ADHD]] slur.

* FireForgedFriends: The main protagonists. You should see some of the early roleplay scenes, when they hardly seemed to like one another.

** This happens again, Derlyn and Tandrak, Mirsha (who at the time is a brown Uni) and Timu, Zenor and Xana, Antola and Foltaggio, and Zax and Sandra switch bodies. HilarityEnsues, along with paranoia and {{Twincest}}.
** Kaine and Valka end up as the latest victims. However, seeing as this results in Valka becoming a {{Sealed Good In A Can}}, this is probably the only time this trick wasn't Played for Laughs.
* FriendlyRivalry: Tandrak and Valka, at times.
* FullNameUltimatum: Both Antola's dad and mom use this at one point, exclaiming 'Antola Huozai Maeir' after he attempted to battle a 'turned-insane' King Altador, injuring himself greatly in the process.

* [[GratuitousForeignLanguage Gratuitous Esperanto]]: Prytariel once used 'kuirejo' ('kitchen' in Esperanto) as a battle cry.

* HairTriggerTemper: '''''Derlyn Fonnet'''''. [[http://www.jellyneoforums.net/index.php?showtopic=35167&view=findpost&p=1011941 This]] is only ''an'' example among many examples.

* [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend He Is Not My Boyfriend]]: Prytariel denies this about Antola, no matter what Tandrak claims. Antola occasionally uses the SheIsNotMyGirlfriend version of this towards Prytariel, however he also tends to show clear hints of affection for her.
** ''Very'' early in the story, Valka notes that the tabloids think that she and Layton are dating and denies it. However, it turns out that was all a coverup and they were dating the whole time.
** Later on, Prytariel says this about [[{{Jerkass}} Rinok]], usually after Mirsha claims otherwise about the two.
* HeelFaceBrainwashing: The Grelinek Army (or, to the public, the Army) is, for the most part the result of this.
* HeelFaceTurn: Tico Tems, who started out as a saboteur, only to become one of the good guys. Also arguably Xana, however she first experienced a FaceHeelTurn before this occurred.
** Arguably anyone who has been {{Brainwashed}} at any point in the roleplay, and turn against the group because of this. However, no matter what method they use to cure the brainwashing, the one who was being brainwashed quickly return to their senses and become good again.
** Vitri Sitol, who went from being a [[{{BedlamHouse}} Meepit Oaks Asylum]] escapee who was under partial control by [[{{VainSorceress}} Xandra]], to what was considered part of the group of 'Goody Two-Shoes' at a punishment camp.
** One of the bigger [[{{HeelFaceTurn}} Heel Face Turns]] would have to be from Helmo Timm. She originally commanded a group of saboteurs, until all of them either left her or died. The ultimate reason that made her change sides was due to her [[{{ThePowerOfLove}} gigantic crush]] on Relle Felson, who had been a good guy all along, while the Relle that worked with her was only pretending to be him.
** The Goody Two-Shoes are by definition, former saboteurs.
** [[WellIntentionedExtremist Leera]] has one of these upon realizing how evil Lor is for traumatizing Mirsha and Antola, as well as nearly [[DrivenToSuicide driving]] ''[[ArchEnemy Derlyn]]'' [[DrivenToSuicide to suicide a bunch of times]].

*** This is HarsherInHindsight as Mirsha does another FaceHeelTurn and potentially divorces with Foltaggio.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Antola and Zax (the latter [[BiTheWay for the most part]]) are arguably the biggest example of this trope in the roleplay.
** Moogi and Ruko are the puppeteer version of this.

** Prytariel then decides to use Jerkfaces.
*** 2 Mirshas = 1 Jerkface.
* HumanSubspecies: There are two different 'generations' of genetically engineered humans. The second generation has six living members, and a major difference is more expressive clones (the past ones were practically emotionless, while Kotose at least shows some emotion). All clones in the first generation were wiped out, leaving [[{{ThePowerOfTheSun}} Valka]] as the only living member of that subspecies.
* {{Id Tell You But Then Id Have To Kill You}}: One of Vitri's original catchphrases, sometimes used as a Running Gag.

* KnifeNut: Elbin's primary weapon is a knife (technically a dagger).
** Brainwashed Timu also uses a near unlimited supply of throwing knives
** Derlyn is also one of these. Her primary weapon is a knife.
* LetsGetDangerous: Barit used to be in the Maraquan Army, and he knows how to fight. He just doesn't act like it most of the time.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Valka (light) and Kaine (dark). Their powers even match their personalities!
* LikeAnOldMarriedCouple: A Running Gag of Zax's, often used for Prytariel and Layton.

** Tandrak and Vitri also fit here, however Vitri has known for a longer time.
* LukeIAmYourFather: It has been revealed that Al is Valka's long lost father.
** This came completely out of nowhere. Prytariel's response was "Umm...nametags can be very useful?"

* MagicalGirl: Valka used to be one. However, her powers show up for a slight moment longer, but she accidentally turns into her [[{{What Could Have Been}} Scrapped Persona]] Valeria, who is completely different.
** Etoile is now one. Being the Genre Savvy girl she is, she proceeds to lampshade her first Magical Girl Transformation.
** There is now a whole corporation full of them. Named ones include Stelle, Roxy, and Kotose.
* {{MacGuffin}}: The Layton Vickles action figure contains fuel for the space-car. The rest should be lucky that [[{{Fangirl}} Valka]] picked it up and that it just so happened to be of that specific player.
