* In ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'', Ash got beat 6-2 by Paul. Kinda like the Tobias example mentioned below, this match is considered to be more of just a ''bad beat'' for a full battle. Losing 6-2 isn't a true curbstomp since Ash did at least defeat 2 of Paul's Pokémon here. Ash's Staraptor even defeated Paul's Weavile 1 on 1 here.
** Earlier, Paul got flattened twice. First, in a six-on-six with Cynthia, Paul lost four in a row, then quit when it became clear his Pokémon didn't have a chance. [[spoiler:The second such loss was to Brandon, and again, Paul lost without ever scoring a KO.]]
** Ash's first round in the Indigo League was a total washout in Ash's favor using Krabby (who evolved into Kingler mid-fight) alone. This was also Krabby's first direct fight under Ash's command.
** In the Hoenn arc, Gym Leader Wattson was completely owned by an accidentally [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique supercharged]] Pikachu who [[spoiler:flattened each of his 'mons in one move]], something only [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption Plot Wall Tobias]] is implied to have done, probably as an [[TakeThatAudience up yours]] to everyone moaning about [[StatusQuoIsGod Pikachu not constantly getting stronger]] by showing [[InvincibleHero how boring it would be]]. Ash rightfully wanted to give the badge back afterward -- while en route to Petalberg to challenge Norman, they have a friendly one on one rematch with Wattson winning.
** Crasher Wake was beaten by Ash 3-0.
** Any time Ash fights any League official of Elite rank or higher, he is going to get wiped almost without exception. [[spoiler: The exception being his second battle with Diantha, the Kalos Champion. It starts out looking just like you'd expect, but Ash is able to turn the tables on Diantha. They never finish the battle, but Ash very clearly had the upper hand by the end.]]
** Ash's battle against [[TheJuggernaut Tobias]], which was another 6-2 loss for Ash. In all fairness, he was facing a [[OlympusMons Darkrai and Latios]], and Ash was the only one to actually K.O. both of them. Everyone else failed to beat the Darkrai.
** [[HarmlessVillain Team Rocket]] obviously fall victim to this a lot, especially if Meowth is involved. Perhaps most notable is his first attempted official faceoff against Pikachu in ''Who Gets To Keep Togepi'', the battle is opened with an epic staredown between the two along with an emotional soliloquy from Meowth how he will fight with all his strength to earn ownership of Togepi, before Pikachu pokes him almost mockingly with the tip of his tail and thundershocks him into a smoking wreck. One hit KO.
** In [[Anime/PokemonArceusAndTheJewelOfLife the 12th movie]], Arceus takes on Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. At the same time. Without breaking a sweat.
*** Then again, [[PhysicalGod Arc]][[CrystalDragonJesus eus]] is classified as a "Creator Pokémon", a god of sorts. In a flashback scene in the same movie, it defeated a whole ''army'' of Pokemon.
** In ''Anime/PokemonZoroarkMasterOfIllusions'', Zoroark, during a RoaringRampageOfRevenge trying to get her beloved son back, happens to find Goon, TheDragon and one of the men behind her son's kidnapping, fighting Dawn and Brock (who are being seriously overwhelmed). [[spoiler: His two Scizor charge her and promptly get KO'd with one Night Slash each and then Goon and all his Ninjask are wiped out with a single attack.]] To be fair, he was up against an ActionMom in full MamaBear mode.
** Ash dished one out in an early Johto episode as he faced then-new trainer Casey's fledgling team of Pidgey, Rattata, and Chikorita with CHARIZARD. Charizard didn't even have to use any real Pokemon attacks to beat the first two, it simply ''blew'' on Pidgey to knock it out, and knocked Rattata down with a chest-bump. And it beat Chikorita by blowing a very small flame at it. Ash had told Charizard to hold back to give Casey the in-universe equivalent of LevelGrinding, but Charizard was just so much stronger that it still didn't matter.
** Ash dished out several in the Hoenn episode in North Petalburg. Crazy Norman fans were angry that he wanted to challenge the Petalburg Gym. They kept challenging him hoping to teach him a lesson that he wasn't good enough, and it backfired spectacularly each time, with Ash winning each challenge in one or two hits.
** Ash's three-on-three battle against Sawyer the episode after his Laverre Gym battle. He curbstomped Sawyer each round and won 3-0, not to mention he gave him great advice while doing it.
** The triple tag battle in the XY series started off heavily in Tierno, Shauna, and Trevor's favor, blocking the main group's attacks and landing their own, even knocking out Serena's Fennekin. However, once Pikachu gained its momentum, it quickly knocked them all out with one Electric-type move apiece.
** Ash gave another one of these to Trevor at the start of XY episode 85. His Fletchinder took barely if any damage and beat Trevor's Charmeleon pretty quickly.
** Ash handed one to Mirror Serena in the Mirror World episode when he battled her to prove he was from a different world. Her Fennekin failed to land any hits, thanks to Froakie's Double Team, and Froakie knocked it right out with Bubble.
** The battle with Burgh got two -- one for each trainer. On one hand, Burgh beat Tepig with ''Dwebble'' ( mostly by spamming Protect) about three minutes into the battle... but on the other hand, once Pikachu got free of String Shot, Leavanny didn't stand a ghost of a chance, despite the fact that nobody had a type advantage.
** The second round of Ash's battle with Clay, when Ash sent in Snivy to battle Clay's Palpitoad. Ash immediately started by having Snivy use Attract, which rendered Palpitoad virtually helpless. After that, Snivy knocked out Palpitoad with just a few Grass-type moves one right after another and thanks to Attract, Palpitoad couldn't stop those moves or attack back.
** Cilan gave one of these to Burgundy when she challenged him at the Striaton Gym, and gave her ''another'' one when she challenged him to a rematch. Dwebble defeated her Dewott without getting a scratch, and Pansage was ''toying'' with her Sawsbuck before finishing it off with a Solar Beam.
** Bianca experienced one of these at the hands of Elesa, who plowed through all three of her Pokemon with her Zebstrika. Pignite was the only one of Bianca's Pokémon that put up a somewhat decent fight.
** In the ''Best Wishes'' series, Ash finally meets Giovanni... and Persian kicks Pikachu's ass with one attack. [[spoiler: Well it hit Pikachu and knocked it back letting him and Ash get captured, but Pikachu didn't faint or anything.]]
** In ''Anime/PokemonKyuremVsTheSwordOfJustice'', Keldeo gets curb stomped his first time fighting Kyurem. Once he learns to use his sword, he still loses (and in fact surrenders), but not as badly.
** In the ''Best Wishes'' episode in which Ash's Charizard returned, it battled against Iris's Dragonite. Not only did Dragonite's attacks barely scratch it, even Dragon Rush, Charizard dealt it some pretty heavy damage, especially when it used a super-effective Dragon Tail and knocked it right out of the sky. The battle ended up being called off, but Charizard was clearly on the verge of victory.
** An early episode of the Pokemon saga "The Path to the Pokémon League" has this trope done...TWICE
*** Ash takes on a minor character named AJ and his Sandshrew. Despite his Pidgeotto and Butterfree having a type advantage over Sandshrew (Flying types are immune to Ground types and Bug types are resistant), Sandshrew wastes no time in beating down both Pokemon and winning the fight.
*** Later on, after Team Rocket [[BerserkButton insults his Pokémon]], AJ challenges them to a Pokemon Battle. Same Sandshrew, different opponents (Koffing, Ekans and even Meowth). Only this time, Sandshrew has the type advantage and manages to lay waste to them, wrapping the fight up with a [[OneHitKO Fissure]]. That was more than enough for the 3 challenging Pokemon to forfeit the fight.
** Do you want to see ''the'' CurbStompBattle of ''all'' {{Curb Stomp Battle}}s in ''Pokémon''? Look no further than [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDTqo7Sj440 Trevor vs. Alain.]]
** Ash vs. Whitney started as one for Ash -- Cyndaquil managed to defeat Nidorina and Clefairy rather easily, but then Whitney sent out her [[ThatOneBoss Miltank]]...
** Bea's Grapploct effortlessly gives Ash's Farfetch'd and Riolu one, and like Paul's curbstomping [[HeroicBSoD it stays on Ash's mindset for a while]] until he's able to battle her to a draw in their next bout a few episodes later.
** Sabrina utterly obliterates Ash in their battle in [[Recap/PokemonS1E22AbraAndThePsychicShowdown "Abra and the Psychic Showdown"]]; Ash's Pikachu doesn't even get a hit on Kadabra.
** In Episode 102 of ''Journeys'', [[spoiler: Ash, Gary, Goh and Horace send out 12 Pokemon (3 each) against [[OlympusMons Articuno]] in a raid battle. Articuno wipes the floor with '''''all of them''''' and flies off, barely even winded.]]
** Right before the Master's Tournament begins, Ash's Pikachu battles [[spoiler: Hop's Wooloo,]] and knocks it out with a single Iron Tail. Even Ash and Pikachu ''themselves'' were surprised it ended so quickly!
* ''Manga/PokemonDiamondAndPearlAdventure'' has several, the most notable being Mitsumi's beatdown of Hareta after she was forced to rejoin Team Galactic.
* ''Let’s Play The Pokémon Card Game'':
** Anytime Mega Evolution is involved, it usually results in this. There are some exceptions, though.
** In the Sun/Moon arc, there is the Solgaleo vs Lunala battle and the Tapu Koko-GX vs Tapu Lele-GX battle.
** In one chapter of the Sun/Moon arc, Sin and Makoto have a Mewtwo-GX and a Bewear battling each other. Sin has Bewear use its Tantrum move, which in turn confuses Bewear and costs Sin the battle after it hurts itself in its confusion. Sin throws the card in anger, when their mother (dressed up as Lusamine) arrives and, after explaining about the Shining Legends set, battles Makoto using said Bewear and ends up drawing a Comfey. She then reveals that Comfey’s ability will do Bewear more good, as the ability allows Pokémon with Fairy energy attached to not have status conditions. With this strategy, she has Bewear defeat Makoto's Pokémon (Mewtwo-GX included) with Tantrum being used every time without having Bewear confuse itself.
** During Chapter 11 of the Sun/Moon arc, Guzmaru, the teacher, challenges the students to a battle for a full-art Lusamine card. The main problem is that he has a Silvally-GX, which proceeds to trash each and every student who has a GX Ultra Beast (and even takes out a Marshadow) by having Silvally-GX's types being switched. When Makoto's turn comes, he ''also'' has a Silvally-GX, which results in a clash against both Silvally-GX...and then Guzmaru's Silvally-GX ends up being beaten due to Makoto's Silvally-GX using Rebel GX, causing Makoto to get the full-art card.

* ''Franchise/DragonBall'':
** Frieza's second appearance during ''Anime/DragonBallZ''. After surviving [[EarthShatteringKaboom Namek's destruction]] and having been put together again as a cyborg, he arrives to Earth with his equally badass father, and the good guys are trembling before his might. What happens next? A Super Saiyan from [[KidFromTheFuture the future]] appears and obliterates them both.
** Said KidFromTheFuture eventually ends up returning to his own time after intense training, where he proceeds to kill Androids 17 and 18 and Cell in one episode without breaking a sweat. These androids had previously been completely unstoppable, killing all of the other heroes and nearly collapsing civilization.
** Most of Goku's {{Big Damn Hero|es}}[=/=]LookWhatICanDoNow moments in the series are like this, most notably when he came back from the dead to pummel Nappa after he killed Piccolo and nearly killed Krillin and Gohan, and later when he showed up and beat Recoome in a single blow after Recoome had hammered Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin for the last three episodes.
** Vegito (the fused form of Goku and Vegeta) versus Buu after having absorbed a powered-up Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks and Goten definitely counts. A fight between the two most powerful characters in the entire ''Dragon Ball'' canon...and the former makes the latter look like a total pansy even in his base form.
** Taken to ludicrous degrees in GT's Baby arc -- where Kid Goku (untransformed and at a third his normal size and strength) takes down Gohan and Goten (both at SSJ, possessed by Baby and actively trying to kill him) without breaking a sweat.
*** The Super 17 Saga was even WORSE. It featured nearly every villain the characters had ever faced, and all of them were killed in ''one hit''. The story justifies this by showing that only heroic warriors are allowed to train in the afterlife, essentially going to [[Myth/NorseMythology Valhalla]]. The villains [[VillainForgotToLevelGrind are stuck right where they were]] when they died. Every time a villain acts out in Hell, the [[DivineRanks guys upstairs]] send a more powerful hero down to defeat and imprison them.
** Vegeta also gets plenty of these:
*** He mercilessly killed Cui, Dodoria, Zarbon and Jeice on Namek.
*** He so horribly outclasses Pui Pui that he doesn't even bother playing around with him. Put this way: Pui Pui tries to get the advantage by magicking the fight to his homeworld which is 10 times Earth's normal gravity; Vegeta coolly reveals that he has been training in ''five hundred times Earth gravity'' and then kicks the clown into a boulder and blows him away, without even going Super Saiyan. This one is a firm candidate for the most one-sided fight in the whole show.
*** His drawn-out humiliation of Semi-Perfect Cell after he had spent the entire year training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Cell struggles to land a hit while Vegeta kicks him around like a harmless toy while delivering one epic verbal put-down after another, breaking Cell's spirit as well as his body. When Cell becomes Perfect later, he turns the tables on Vegeta and beats the shit out of him.
*** Vegeta to Android 19: "Let me ask you: does a machine like yourself ever experience fear?" Then he puts fear in him by going to town on him and vaporizing him.
*** When Frost [[spoiler:is revealed to be a no-good-scumbag who used poison to beat Goku and Piccolo]], Vegeta challenges him on his terms and then sends him flying with a single punch.
*** When he fights Cabba, he teaches the kid how to go Super Saiyan, goes Super Saiyan God to show off the power he could have and ''then'' slugs the poor kid in the gut, putting him on the floor. Cabba couldn't even react.
*** However, Vegeta's been on the receiving end of plenty, mostly due to his misplaced arrogance. He, along with Gohan and Krillin, are absolutely decimated by Recoome. His fight against Final Form Frieza isn't even a fight, as all of Vegeta's attacks don't even ''touch'' Frieza with his last blast effortlessly ''kicked'' into space by Frieza, while Frieza makes him cry [[WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged like a little bitch]]. Then, there's his fight with Android #18, which ends with him on his back with two broken arms. And this is after he became Super Saiyan!
** While they weren't beaten by him per se, Tien and Chaiotzu both sacrificed their lives against Nappa, giving the greatest amount of energy they had in their lives so far. Neither could they so much as ''cause any visible damage'' to him.
** There's also the very beginning of Super Saiyan 2 Gohan fighting Cell -- Gohan only landed two punches (and a kamehameha) on Cell, but they were so insanely damaging that they forced him out of his final form. For that matter, even though Cell was much stronger [[spoiler:after he blew himself up and killed Goku, essentially becoming Super Saiyan 2 himself]], he would likely still have had no chance of defeating Gohan if ONLY Vegeta's actions didn't result in getting Gohan severely damaged before the final showdown.
** The role is reversed on the main cast when they fight Broly in the 8th movie. Throughout their entire fight, none of the heroes are able to even scratch Broly, literally. He is only injured with the last punch of the movie. Broly even remained unscathed to a pointblank Kame-hame-ha. Vegeta, for a good portion of the fight, remains on the sidelines, knowing that anything they did to Broly would be pointless.
---> '''Vegeta:''' We're mere grunts fighting an entire army.
** Super Saiyan 2 Gohan vs Bojack in ''Anime/DragonBallZBojackUnbound'' also qualifies to the point where it's even more of one than the one against Cell. Bojack dies in just two hits and his gang is killed quicker than the Cell Juniors. The entire fight between Gohan as a Super Saiyan 2 lasts 2 minutes. However, this is non-canon.
** Beerus vs ''everyone'' in the canon movie ''Anime/DragonBallZBattleOfGods''. Beerus is the God of Destruction, and effortlessly beats the Z warriors, including Good Buu and Ultimate Gohan, using only chopsticks and basic attacks. That's after he nearly killed [=SSJ3=] Goku in 1 blow. The only fighter who gives him any challenge at all is "Super Saiyan God" Goku. [[spoiler:And even then he doesn't get defeated... indeed, he was still holding back an insane amount of his full power.]]
** While not a battle per say, [[spoiler: Whis knocking out Beerus in one hit to stop his [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth wasabi-fueled]] rampage]] carries the same sentiment.
** From ''Anime/DragonBallZResurrectionF'' the Z-Fighters and Jaco vs. Frieza's army of thousand men. The army never stood a chance and to add further insult to injury, the Z-Fighters beat back Frieza's troops without killing anyone. There is also Frieza vs. Goku. [[spoiler: Base form Goku wipes the floor with Frieza's true form and while Frieza's new Golden form is able to match and even get the better of Goku's Super Saiyan Blue, once Frieza's energy starts to bleed out due to the form's massive energy burn, Goku knocks him around with ease]]. The final fight, Vegeta vs. Frieza, was a utter curb stomping [[spoiler:in Vegeta's favor]].
** The ''Anime/DragonBallSuper'' retelling of the above movie instead depicts Base Goku and 4th form Frieza as more evenly matched, while Golden Frieza is the one who outright stomps Super Saiyan Blue Goku [[spoiler: until he gets exhausted]].
** In the non-canon spin-off ''[[Anime/DragonBallEpisodeOfBardock Episode of Bardock]]'', Freeza's ancestor Chilled taunts, beats, and pushes Bardock so far that the latter transforms into a Super Saiyan. He then, completely without effort, proceeds to wipe the face of the planet with Chilled's ragdolled form before blasting him into orbit.
** Don't think the original ''Manga/DragonBall'' was devoid of these either. Kid Goku took down an overconfident competitor with three quick elbows to the stomach (done so quickly the spectators and announcers thought it was ''one'' strike). The scene played out almost exactly the same way he later trounced Recoome.
** Most of Goku's fights as a kid were a curb stomp. Only Jackie Chun, Mercenary Tao, Tien, King Piccolo and his children truly gave Goku the fights of his life, while a few semifinal World Tournament opponents and [[WakeUpCallBoss General Blue]] managed to avoid being outright humiliated by Goku.
** Goku effectively wiped out the ''[[OneManArmy entire Red Ribbon Army all by himself]]'' as a child. They were powerless against him.
** For that matter, Mercenary Tao killed General Blue ''with his tongue''.
** Kid Goku vs the Demon King Piccolo. At first Goku floors the Namek-back-then-Satan-surrogate, but the latter stands up, goes TheCoatsAreOff, and then simply DESTROYS Goku, beating him to a brink of death, even doing a NoSell to Goku's Kamehameha in the process.
** Tienshenhan vs. Tao Pai Pai is an utterly embarrassing curb stomp battle. They knew each other well since Tien was the Crane Hermit's star pupil and Tao was the Hermit's brother. However, in the intervening years, Tien had had a HeelFaceTurn after barely winning the last tournament versus Goku and realizing there was more to life than just Curb Stomping and humiliating your opponents. He trained more honestly, and it showed. He effortlessly dodges all of Tao's attacks and requests that he just stand down and not humiliate himself. When Tao refuses, Tien just takes his arm, bends it behind his back and, since this was during the last Tenkaichi Budokai of ''Dragon Ball'', attempts to basically escort him into a RingOut. When Tao decides to cheat and use weapons, Tien makes a mockery of him, breaking his arm blade, {{No Sell}}ing a cybernetically-enhanced Dodonpa, then dropping him with one punch to the gut.
** His next match (the rematch against Goku) eventually reverses the curb stomp. At first it seems another pretty even affair until Goku reveals [[IAmNotLeftHanded he'd been fighting with weights on]]. Suddenly Tien can't keep up with him, resorting to using his trump card, but Goku manages to beat that move as well and basically stack Tien's multiple forms outside the ring like so much firewood.
** ''Anime/DragonBallSuper'' continues the trend. The most spectacular example is Beerus "vs." [[spoiler:Present Zamasu]].
---> '''Beerus''': Hakai. ''[[[spoiler:Zamasu]] screams in agony as he is effortlessly disintegrated]''
** Krillin vs. Gohan ends in about a minute. [[spoiler:Surprisingly, [[CantCatchUp Krillin]] is the stomp''er'', not the stomp''ee'' -- his 15+ years of experience are more than enough to knock Gohan flat on his face, even with his innate Saiyan biology.]]
** Jiren has the habit of doing this to pretty much everyone who ever tried to fight him; Kale rampaging throughout the arena and shrugging off even a Super Saiyan Blue Kamehameha? Jiren one-shots her. Maji=Kayo? One punch and he is out of the arena. Goku? Jiren easily shrug off whatever he deals out up to a Spirit Bomb from a 20x Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken. Ultra Instinct Goku? They do seem evenly matched but then Jiren reveals that he is holding back and quickly defeats him when Goku loses the form. Hit? Jiren just flexes his muscle and overcomes whatever time-skips or restraints that Hit attempts to do. Vegeta? A full power Final Flash doesn't put a single dent on him and Jiren knocks him out. Heck, even a transformation that caused Goku and Vegeta to break their limit does little to even put a dent in him with Jiren even commenting whether this is all they got. [[spoiler:It was only when Goku attained Ultra Instinct for the third time that Goku was able to do serious damage, to say nothing of when he masters it]]
** [[spoiler:Speaking of Complete Ultra Instinct, it was at this point that JIREN was on the receiving end of a stomp, being unable to land a single hit. Even after the gap was narrowed due to Jiren unlocking his hidden power (being able to keep up with and even overwhelm Goku), he, due to his [[{{Trauma Button}} Trauma]] and [[{{Berserk Button}} Berserk Buttons]] being pressed, made the incredibly stupid decision to attack the stands to prove a point, enraging Goku. After that, the fight was over in about a minute with Jiren once again being unable to land a hit. The only reason he wasn't knocked off right there was because of Ultra Instinct taking its toll on Goku, incapacitating him.]]
** Gogeta is a master of dishing this out to everyone he ever fought. He manhandles Janemba in a few hits before obliterating him without wasting even a minute of his time. He made Omega a complete fool, redirecting his Negative Energy Ball before nearly obliterating him with a Big Bang Kamehameha. And lastly, he is in complete control of the fight against Broly even in his base form as well as Super Saiyan and once he turns into Super Saiyan Blue, the poor Saiyan got a beating so bad that he can only writhe and fear as Gogeta's Kamehameha is approaching him.

* ''CurbStompBattle/OnePiece''
[[/index]]
----

* From ''Manga/OnePiece'':
** The definitive example is Luffy vs Bellamy, a match so one-sided that it's like watching a fight between a lion and a deer. Luffy initially refused to fight Bellamy, out of a desire not to cause trouble. Then Bellamy learned of Luffy's bounty, and assumed it was fake like an idiot. ''Then'' [[BerserkButton he stole from Luffy's friends]]. Luffy one-shotted his sorry ass.
*** With a single, ''unstretched'' punch, we might add; Bellamy showed off his Devil Fruit powers throughout the whole "fight", but he never found out that Luffy even ''had'' a Devil Fruit power.
** Zoro vs Mihawk. It was pretty much a given, though he displayed enough spirit to earn the Shichibukai's respect... which is a feat in and of itself, as Mihawk hasn't been shown to respect anyone else that is incapable of going toe-to-toe with him.
** The first was Luffy vs. Alvida, which consisted of Luffy letting her hit him with her mace to no effect and then taking her down in one blow. Second was Luffy vs. Ax-Hand Morgan, during which Luffy effortlessly dodged his attacks before striking him down.
** During the Whiskey Peak arc, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine do this to Mr. 8 (Igaram), Mr. 9, and Miss Monday without even trying. Shortly afterwards, they are beaten in this manner by Luffy and Zoro, while the latter two were not even ''interested'' in fighting them because they were fighting ''each other''.
*** Though technically, he wasn't finished off until Zoro stepped in.
** Usopp vs Mr. 2 Bon Clay, which ended so quickly it was never even shown.
** Luffy's first fight against Crocodile, Crocodile just stood still for three minutes letting Luffy punch him, and after those three minutes were up, impaled him.
** Wiper vs Shura.
** Sanji vs Wanze is an interesting case. Both are [[ChefOfIron Chefs of Iron]], but while the former is a type 1 who only uses kicks, the latter is a type 3 who uses Ramen Kenpo. Wanze has Sanji on the receiving end of this for the first half of their fight, and in order to turn the tables, Sanji has to temporarily change into a type 2, and Wanze is on the receiving end from then on.
** Luffy vs Blueno after he uses Gear Second.
** Sanji vs Kalifa. Admittedly, Sanji suffers from a severe case of WouldntHitAGirl. And boy, does that trope get Deconstructed with Kalifa beating the ever loving snot out of him.
*** And the silly thing is, if that wasn't the case, he would've easily beat her too, as he outmatched her in speed and strength.
** Kumadori's fight with Chopper was this in all respects. Chopper had to go all out, pushing his MultiformBalance to the limit, and even then Kumadori hardly even faltered. Fueled with the thoughts of what he was fighting for, Chopper unleashed his [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique berserker Monster Point]]. Kumadori was no longer able to faze him, and the fight ended with Chopper grabbing his head and flinging him ''beyond'' the next building.
** Zoro vs T-Bone.
** Nico Robin vs Tashigi... and vs Pell... and vs Yama... and vs Spandam... Yeah, in general, it's an extremely bad idea to try and fight Nico Robin unless you outclass her by a wide margin.
*** For the most part, Tashigi is victimized by this trope; she's a skilled swordsman, albeit [[TheDitz clumsy]], and post-TimeSkip has done enough training to become superhumanly strong and fast. But both before and after said training, she has a habit of picking fights with those that she cannot defeat, such as Robin, Zoro, Trafalgar Law, and Monet.
** Enel vs anyone who isn't Luffy tends to turn into this, though Wiper made a creditable attempt.
*** On a similar note, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold were almost doing this to Luffy... until he stopped holding back, at which point they didn't have a prayer of winning.
** Pretty much any time [[RankScalesWithAsskicking "Dark King" Silvers Rayleigh]] shows up, if you're beneath the Admirals in power, then you better prepare to get curbstomped. In his first appearance, he uses Haki to drop Charlos, who was beating on Camie while imprisoned. Then, he follows it up by casually dropping pretty much everyone but the Eleven Supernovas and their crews in a crowded Slave Shop with Haki. And Post-timeskip, when the Straw Hats are escaping from the Marines who'd showed up due to the Impostor's recruiting, he draws a line in the dirt and tells them they're not crossing it. '''They don't'''.
** The end of the Sabaody Arc can be summed up as "Admiral Kizaru curbstombing half of the Supernovas without even trying". Only Rayleigh was able to hold him off.
** Anything involving Chief Warden Magellan of [[TheAlcatraz Impel Down]]. Fighting Luffy? Matter of minutes. Facing the thousand strong army of criminals? The army runs away. The series' BigBad and his crew? Matter of seconds. It should be mentioned that his power is [[PoisonousPerson generating vast amounts of poison]], which HeroicResolve does little to help against.
*** It even applies against him. After Blackbeard broke into Level 6 and freed multiple prisoners, the ones he didn't recruit rampaged through Impel Down and beat Magellan near death.
** Luffy pulls another against [[spoiler:Coby]] during Marineford. It looks like his TrainingFromHell would pay off, and he'd be able to a least ''slow down'' Luffy's FoeTossingCharge. He does [[FlashStep Soru]] and gets a Gum Gum Bullet to the face before he's even finished moving. Luffy gave him no acknowledgment beyond saying his name.
** Luffy vs [[spoiler:"Hero" Garp]], finished off in one blow. [[spoiler:Though it's obvious Garp threw the fight.]]
** Whitebeard delivers these like candy during the Marineford war. Mook army? Literally sent flying in one swing. Sneak attack by a giant Vice-Admiral? Whitebeard parries his axe with his ''fist'' and beats him with one hand in less than thirty seconds. Admiral Akainu tries to get involved? He eats a FacePalmOfDoom and gets incapacitated for a good while. Blackbeard comes in and neutralizes his overpowered Devil Fruit with a grab? Whitebeard personally beats the fuck out of him with just raw strength. Even in his old, decayed state, the Marines lose a ton of battles and only ''barely'' win the war.
** Sanji [[spoiler:gets owned by Okama Queen Ivankov in less than a panel]] while trying to steal a ship.
** A series of curb-stomps are the fights involving the [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Impostor Straw Hats]]. The first one featured the fake Luffy, Nami, and Sogeking trying and forcing the real Nami ([[FailedASpotCheck who they hadn't recognized]]) only to get casually defeated by ''Usopp'' and then thunderbolted by Nami. Then Fake Luffy and most of his gang picked a fight with Luffy (who at least was wearing a PaperThinDisguise), only to get knocked out by a burst of [[BattleAura Haki]]. Finally, there's the one between the Impostors and their recruits and the Marines, who had come to catch Luffy ''[[DidntThinkThisThrough because they had heard of the Impostors recruiting]]'' and, believing them the real deal, had brought three times the amount of force they had needed to match the real ones pre-timeskip: Science Captain Sentomaru (who, pre-timeskip, could match the entire crew alone) mauled Fake Luffy, called him trash and an idiot for faking to be Luffy without expecting the Marines to come, and then had a Pacifista reveal his true identity to everyone present while calling the recruits idiots for buying the lie.
** Caribou, who, after meeting the ''real'' Straw Hats, is consistently curb-stomped. The first time it was Luffy, then it was [[spoiler:Pekoms]], and then, in a mini-series, [[spoiler:Jimbei and X-Drake.]] This is the part where it becomes pretty clear that he has no chance of even lasting a ''week'' in the New World.
** Post-timeskip, damn! [[spoiler:Pacifista vs. Straw Hats rematch. ''Luffy one-shots the first.'' Sanji and Zoro each one-shot the second ''at the same time''. It wouldn't have taken both their attacks, either, they were just trying to one-up each other.]]
** The post-timeskip Zoro vs Hody Jones the Fishman, BigBad of the Fishman Island Arc. [[spoiler: Zoro won. With ONE HIT. ''UNDERWATER.'']]
*** And then Luffy vs Hody Jones, first on dry land, then underwater. [[spoiler: Luffy basically trounces Hody without any real effort. When the fight moves underwater, Luffy has a slight disadvantage because of the Devil Fruit's weakness in water, but he still pounds Hody every time the Fishman gets near him. Hody gets ONE hit in, and still gets sent flying.]]
** Straw Hats and Jinbe vs Hody's 100,000 strong crew. Total and complete beatdown. [[spoiler:Luffy took out ''50,000'' '''with one burst of Haki''' as the opening volley. It just gets progressively worse for the poor saps after that.]]
*** During the same battle [[spoiler: all of Hody's top henchmen are beaten effortlessly (emphasis on effortlessly) by the Straw Hats]].
*** Probably the most hilarious is Hammond vs. Robin. The former had already experienced one by Luffy's hands who just one-shotted him without much effort. When he reappears again, he's still recovering with bandages all over his body and wearing a neckbrace. [[spoiler: Robin frees the slaves that were carrying him as his "human tank" who toss his ass to the ground. He then decides to pick a fight with Robin by shooting a net at her. Not only is it not really Robin (due to her new clone powers) but she makes a copy of herself to bind his neck while she binds his legs and practically twists his spine. Ouch]].
*** Chronologically, in the (ambiguously canon) manga adaptation of ''One Piece Novel A'', Hammond picks up a fight with Ace. Ace only needed Haoshoku Haki to drop him down. And even after three years he didn't learn anything of that when Luffy used his own Haki!
** This seems to be the norm for [[spoiler:Trafalgar Law and Vice-Admiral Vergo. The first time that they met, Vergo used his Haki to armor up his entire body and handed him such a [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown brutal beating]] that it left Law both traumatized and terrified of Vergo…or so Doflamingo believed, as Law was just a child at the time. Post-TimeSkip, it at first seems that the situation has not changed, especially when Vergo is in possession of Law's heart. However, once Smoker got Law his heart back, he manages to beat Vergo in that same form with ''one blow'']].
** In Chapter 687, Zoro defeats Monet in a single blow, and he was not even using his full strength. In fact, the latter loses from the sheer terror of realising that she would have died had he used his full powers. Well, that and Tashigi dealing the finishing blow.
** "Lucy" vs. Spartan. Not even five chapters into the Dressrosa arc and ''already'' Luffy handed somebody their ass.
** The entirety of Block A in the Corrida Colosseum is this. Over 130 competitors defeated effortlessly by a masked character. After he wins, he removes the mask to reveal his identity: Jesus Burgess, one of Blackbeard's top men.
** Block D finishes with this. Cavendish is a OneManArmy on his own, but his SuperpoweredEvilSide Hakuba is even more so; all of the remaining members of Block D, who are varying degrees of OneManArmy, are taken down effortlessly in the scarce few seconds that Hakuba has control... except Rebecca, who was just fast enough to avoid being struck unconscious, though even she wasn't fast enough to completely evade Hakuba.
** [[spoiler:Sabo]] effortlessly (and we mean ''effortlessly'') defeats Vice-Admiral Bastille.
** Chapters 770-774 involved several of Doflamingo's officers dishing out and receiving curbstomp battles. To elaborate:
*** 770: [[spoiler:Machvise vs Hajrudin: Hajrudin one shotted him with Gungnir, knocking his fat ass right into the birdcage. This was after suffering a beatdown from Machvise AND while he weighed 10,000 tons (the same as the 2013 meteor that hit Russia). Talk about willpower.]]
*** 771: [[spoiler:Lao G pretty much beat Chinjao without taking any damage. Chinjao later got his drill bent sideways by Sai before being one shotted by Lao G. Don Sai later one shotted Lao G while in [[{{Super Mode}} Jio-Ken]] with the very kick used to bend Chinjao's drill. He later "defeated" Baby 5 with a marriage proposal.]]
*** 772: [[spoiler:Dellinger brutally defeats Ideo with his incredible speed. Dellinger later gets one shotted by the even faster Hakuba.]]
*** 773: [[spoiler:Bartolomeo vs Gladius involved both parties getting curbstomped. Bartolomeo gets shot by poisonous needles and later blown up while trying to protect Robin. After Robin escapes, Bartolomeo one shots Gladius with [[{{Homage}} Bari Bari no Pistol]].]]
*** 774: [[spoiler:Leo pulled a {{Big Damn Heroes}} by using his devil fruit powers to one shot Giolla by using the unconscious officers (one of them [[{{Fat Bastard}} Machvise]]) to crush her.]]
** 776: [[spoiler:Kyros only struggled against Diamante because he was trying to keep Rebecca safe. Once she is safe, however, nothing stopped Kyros (not even a rain of spiky balls) from getting in range of and one shotting Diamante.]]
** Chapter 784 gives us a visual echo of when Luffy fought Blueno in the Enies Lobby arc. Seriously, it's a perfect echo: Luffy faces an arrogant antagonist, overly confident in his own superhuman strength, which was previously demonstrated by putting Luffy on the receiving end of this trope the first time that they fought. The rematch goes on in a stalemate for a short while. And then [[spoiler:Luffy unleashes a new Gear technique, and suddenly the super powerful antagonist is getting tossed around like a bloody rag doll. What's even more surprising is that this antagonist is ''Donquixote Doflamingo'']].
** Chapter 821: Jack "the Drought" and an entire fleet of Beasts pirates vs. Zunesha the Country-sized Elephant. [[spoiler:Sure, it looked dangerous for a moment as their cannons actually stung through the elephant's skin, but then Jack and the fleet get fucked the ''moment'' Zunesha is even allowed to fight back. Lesson to be learned: Even if you're one of the most powerful men alive, picking a fight with something best measured in miles is still not a good idea]].
** Chapter 923: [[spoiler:Luffy unleashes a powerful and extremely angry barrage of Gear Fourth attacks on Kaido, straight to his head. He looks annoyed at ''best''. Then Kaido decks Luffy with his mace ''once'' and he's immediately KO'd and left looking like an entire army had taken turns stomping him]].
** Chapter 946: As a way to properly outline the difference between an Emperor's direct subordinate and an ''actual'' Emperor, we have Queen the Plague vs Big Mom, as the latter wanted to eat all the former's oshiruko and he's [[BerserkButton upset enough at the possibility he throws caution and reason to the wind]]. All Queen gets to do is [[ScaledUp use his Fruit power to transform into a gigantic brachiosaurus]]; Big Mom's reaction is to just bitchslap his head into the ground then throw him into the nearest wall, taking him down in seconds.
** Chapter 1044: [[spoiler:It seems like Kaido has won against Luffy again, knocking him out cold with his mace...then Luffy regains consciousness, awakens his Devil Fruit - which is actually the [[ToonPhysics Human-Human Fruit:]] [[RealityWarper Model: Nika,]] a ''[[PhysicalGod Mythical Zoan]]'' type - and activates '''Gear FIFTH.''' Cue the World's Strongest Creature being casually [[MetronomicManMashing man-mashed]] [[Film/TheAvengers2012 Hulk-to-Loki style]] and rendered powerless to do anything against Luffy's new form.]]
** Chapter 1079 sees Shanks engage in battle for the first time in 25 years, but the battle that ensues can hardly be called a battle. [[spoiler:When Eustass Kidd shows up in Elbaf and challenges Shanks, Shanks sees using Observation Haki that Kidd would take several members of Shanks' fleet with a Dammed Punk, so he promptly takes both him and Killer out with a single Divine Departure, knocking both of them out of the fight before they even had a chance to react. Adding insult to injury, he then has the two giants [[TheBusCameBack Dorry and Broggy]] sink their ship.]]

** The first battle, with the Vikings against Franks, was one-sided to say the least. By the time their Frank allies had breached the walls all of the defenders had been slaughtered, the fight was so quick it left enough time for Askeladd to abscond with the loot. The only Viking casualty was one man, killed at the start of the battle, from a crossbow.
** Thors' one battle shown in the manga pits him, bare-handed, against a whole longship's worth of armed veteran mercenaries. He pummels the whole ship into submission without a single kill.

The battle is terrifyingly one-sided, resolved in minutes and leaves over a hundred and twenty dead on Ketil’s side, with plenty more injured or permanently maimed. It's mentioned that by contrast [[spoiler:Canute's forces]] suffered only ''eight'' dead, and that's more than they expected going in. One of Ketil’s “guests” notices at one point that the Jomsvikings are so confident and in control that they’re having fun during combat, laughing, doing tricks, and picking their shots against the hopelessly outclassed farmers.
