(But to be fair the voice talent from both studios have worked together before such as Dave Pettit of GGundam fame has been in some Anime English dubs with Ocean lately and SaffronHenderson was the singing voice of Fancy Lala. Heck both studios have worked together in some of the Gundam games.) While Blue Water Studios is not as popular as the Ocean Group (in fact some have even considered Blue Water to be a PoorMansSubstitute for Ocean). However in Blue Water's defense they have been in some renowned dubs such as ''Anime/MobileFighterGGundam'', and the MegaManX series since X8.
* OutOfFocus: Over the course of the 2000s (and even today), they did not have as much work as they used to. One of the reasons why is because Canadian voice talent was used pretty frequently back in TheNineties due to how the currency exchange between the American and Canadian currency made using Canadian talent more affordable. But due to the current economic trouble, the currency exchange rate between the two countries no longer worked in Canada's favor and Canadian voice talent (and studios) had less work. For Creator/VizMedia, back in the 90s and the early 2000s when the majority of their properties were voiced by The Ocean Group, they nowadays only use them occasionally such as in ''Manga/DeathNote''.
** In addition, some of the more popular [=VAs=] like ScottMcNeil don't get as many roles as the some newer ones, like [[CreatorsPet Scott McCord]]. Ashleigh Ball and Creator/TabithaStGermain have also seen a lot of work in recent years compared to voice actors like Kelly Sheridan and Teryl Rothery.
*** This is actually averted with Blue Water Studios, because of how cheap their voice talent is, and the fact that their voice actors have gotten pretty good at their jobs. They're being used for many projects that Ocean's main Vancouver studio/actors would've been likely been used only a few years ago. Some of their recent projects include ''Literature/DeltoraQuest'', ''Cardfight!! Vanguard'', The newer ''MegaMan'' games, ''Manga/HunterXHunter'', ''PrettyCure'', ''Anime/FullMoonOSagashite'', and many others. They're many Japanese studios' choice for their own dubbing (including Toei and TMS), and they've seen a surge in work since the economy went under. Ocean's Vancouver Studio's only English dubs in recent years are ''[[InuYasha InuYasha: The Final Act]], ''[[Manga/BlackLagoon Black Lagoon: Roberta's Trail]]'', and ''Manga/DeathNote''.
* RelationshipVoiceActor: KirbyMorrow and KellySheridan are well known for this, regardless if their roles are main characters or minor one shots. They have played love interests several times (in which some fans even wondered if they are an item).
