*** This is actually averted with Blue Water Studios, because of how cheap their voice talent is, and the fact that their voice actors have gotten pretty good at their jobs. They're being used for many projects that Ocean's main Vancouver studio/actors would've been likely been used only a few years ago. Some of their recent projects include Literature/DeltoraQuest, Cardfight!! Vanguard, The newer Mega Man games, Manga/HunterXHunter, PrettyCure, Anime/FullMoonOSagashite, and many others. They're many Japanese studios' choice for their own dubbing (including Toei and TMS), and they've seen a surge in work since the economy went under. Ocean's Vancouver Studio's only English dubs in recent years are InuYasha: The Final Act, Black Lagoon: Roberta's Trail, MobileSuitGundam00 and Manga/DeathNote.

** GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex: Another case of Ocean taking over for another cast. The actual TV series was dubbed by Animaze, while Ocean handled the recap movies, which was technically the same material. Partial case of this and DuelingDubs.

** RoninWarriors: Bizarrely happened with half the cast for episode 2 (and only episode 2), and other random members changed for one episode at a time at other points due to the tight schedule of dubbing. According to legend, episode 2 was such a bad case because many members of the cast had caught a nasty head cold that was going around Vancouver. Years later when the sequel OVAs were dubbed, many voices changed again.

* TheOtherDarrin: Notably Many examples. Their dubs had issues with recasting on several occasions:
** Manga/RanmaOneHalf: Happened with Ranma himself (both boy and girl), Kodachi Kuno (twice), Cologne, Dr. Tofu, the Jusenkyo Guide, and Nabiki Tendo (temporarily).
** Manga/Inuyasha: Happened with Sora, Eri, and Kohaku in the original series, and Kagome, Sesshomaru, Lady Kaede, and (once again) Kohaku when the show was revived for The Final Act.
** Manga/MaisonIkkoku: The dub was put on hold after episode 36, and revived years later. Many voices changed, including Yusaku Godai, Ikuko, Yotsuya, Kozue, Ritsuko Chigusa, Kentaro's mother, Kentaro's father, and Kentaro himself.
** DragonBallZ: Happened when FUNimation decided to move the dub in-house, and the entire Ocean cast was fired. Most of them came back though when their dub was revived for Canadian and European markets for the Trunks Saga onwards. Notably, they had three Gokus (IanJamesCorlett, Peter Kelamis, and KirbyMorrow).
** LightNovel/ShakuganNoShana: Happened again, when FUNimation chose to continue the dub in-house instead of getting Ocean back from the first season, which was originally licensed by Geneon.
** ProjectAKO: The opposite, where the Ocean cast replaced another cast after the first film, which was dubbed by Manga UK.
** GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex: Another case of Ocean taking over for another cast. The actual TV series was dubbed by Animaze, while Ocean handled the recap movies, which was technically the same material. Partial case of this and DuelingDubs.
** Happened
with Mega Man Powered Up. Instead of IanJamesCorlett voicing Mega Man, it's Cole Howard.Howard.
** MobileSuitZetaGundam: Due to a Canadian voice actors' strike, the Ocean cast couldn't return, and the show was instead given to Ocean's non-union sub-studio, Blue Water.
** SaberMarionetteJ: Happened with Cherry and Bloodberry in the original show, and the entire cast for Saber Marionette J Again.
** MonsterRancher: Happened with Golem.
** RoninWarriors: Bizarrely happened with half the cast for episode 2 (and only episode 2), and other random members changed for one episode at a time at other points due to the tight schedule of dubbing. Their most prolific clients include Creator/VizMedia, Geneon, and Creator/BandaiEntertainment, and were also used by FUNimation and CentralParkMedia in their early days. Keep in mind that the use of the voice actors in Ocean's talent pool does not mean Ocean had anything to do with the production. Ocean is just a dubbing company based in Vancouver that pulls from the same voice pool the rest of the studios do (it's a very common misconception).

* OutOfFocus: Over the course of the 2000s (and even today), they did not have as much work as they used to. One of the reasons why is because Canadian voice talent was used pretty frequently back in TheNineties due to how the currency exchange between the American and Canadian currency made using Canadian talent more affordable. But due to the current economic trouble, the currency exchange rate between the two countries no longer worked in Canada's favor and Canadian voice talent (and studios) had less work. For Creator/VizMedia, back in the 90s and the early 2000s when the majority of their properties were voiced by The Ocean Group, they nowadays only use them occasionally such as in Manga/DeathNote.

*** This is actually averted with Blue Water Studios, because of how cheap their voice talent is, and the fact that their voice actors have gotten pretty good at their jobs. And here are some tropes that TheOceanGroup is most well known for:

* AlternateCompanyEquivalent: Blue Water Studios in Calgary, Canada is known as Ocean's "Sister Studio" and while Ocean Studios' name has been mentioned during the credits of dubs that use Blue Water talent the studios are generally very different. (But to be fair the voice talent from both studios have worked together before such as Dave Pettit of GGundam fame has been in some Anime English dubs with Ocean lately and SaffronHenderson was the singing voice of Fancy Lala. Heck both studios have worked together in some of the Gundam games.) While Blue Water Studios is not as popular as the Ocean Group (in fact some have even considered Blue Water to be a PoorMansSubstitute for Ocean). However in Blue Water's defense they have been in some renowned dubs such as Anime/MobileFighterGGundam, and the MegaManX series since X8.
** In addition, some of the more popular [=VAs=] like ScottMcNeil don't get as many roles as the some newer ones, like Scott McCord. Ashleigh Ball and Creator/TabithaStGermain have also seen a lot of work in recent years compared to voice actors like Kelly Sheridan and Teryl Rothery.
Vanguard, The newer MegaMan games, Manga/HunterXHunter, PrettyCure, Anime/FullMoonOSagashite, and many others. They're many Japanese studios' choice for their own dubbing (including Toei and TMS), and they've seen a surge in work since the economy went under. Ocean's Vancouver Studio's only English dubs in recent years are InuYasha: The Final Act, Black Lagoon: Roberta's Trail, and Manga/DeathNote.
* RelationshipVoiceActor: KirbyMorrow and KellySheridan are well known for this, regardless if their roles are main characters or minor one shots. They have played love interests several times (in which some fans even wondered if they are an item).
