* WhatYouAreInTheDark: [[spoiler:Farris Knight, the Starman of the 853rd Century, became a jaded burnout who, while loving the perks being Starman got him, hated having to actually be Starman, feeling that a role which meant nothing to him and a legacy where had no place had been thrust upon him against his will due to being of the Knight family. Between, this, Solaris's corruption (Farris was maintaining/guarding him as part of his duties) and his own belief that he was genetically predisposed toward evil due to being descended from The Mist as well as Starman, Farris burned out, effectively feeling nothing had any meaning, so when Solaris offered him the chance to work with him, Farris agreed, because he "couldn't think of anything better to do". When his JLA went back to 1998, Farris, knowing that Jack Knight had already sired his ancestor and thus knowing that his own existence wouldn't be endangered, decided to kill Ted Knight as vengeance for starting the legacy only to find himself defending the old man against an attack from Deathbolt. The two of them spoke after the villain was defeated, with Farris telling Ted some details about the future, but eventually Farris could take it no longer and lashed out angrily at the old man, talking about how miserable he had become due to his legacy and of his plans secretly to murder Ted. Ted tells him that even though he's not proud of what Farris is doing right now, he's proud who he is, and begs him to accept the good in his heart as well as the evil. The light in Ted's eyes when he spoke about Starman and his legacy, in an era where being Starman was new and meaningful changed something in his descendant, leading Farris ultimately sacrificing his life to stop Solaris in the Twentieth Century]].

It turns out that the solar system of the future has been massively terraformed. Not only that, but several planets are dedicated to specific heroes: Mercury to ComicBook/TheFlash, Venus to ComicBook/WonderWoman, Earth to ComicBook/GreenArrow, Plutowhich serves as a prison for the criminally insane to Franchise/Batman, etc.. The only planet missing is Uranus, destroyed and replaced by a second sun - Solaris, the Living Sunactually an evil ArtificialIntelligence surrounded by a star-sized plasma field which was defeated by Superman and reprogrammed to be helpful, overseen by that century's Comicbook/Starman.And yes, the Flash does derive some juvenile humor from learning that Starman is the protector of Uranus.

* CrapsaccharineWorld: As the presence and need for superheroes might indicate, the 853rd Century has its fair share of societal strife and ultraviolence, though this trope is in play due to how utopian the Justice Legion pitch the future as to their 20th Century progenitors.

* OneHundredPercentAdorationRating: Sure, Superman almost always has this anyways, but his future self has gone on to accomplish so many more amazing feats, saved so many beings in the galaxy, founded a dynasty of Supermen who have protected the Earth for thousands of years, and generally become such a mythic figure in the eyes of the public, that he has this like never before. The entire event is based around the fact that the original Superman has become so beloved that people in the future, from all over the universe, are gathering just to celebrate the first public appearance of him in generations, along with wanting his past self to be present for it.
