* AllYourPowersCombined: As the predecessor to his counterparts, Zarc's deck is capable of summoning all Four Heavenly Dragons. It's taken [[UpToEleven to the extreme with "Supreme King Dragon Zarc" being a hybrid Pendulum/Fusion/Synchro/Xyz Monster]].

* TheStoic: UpToEleven since his revival. His tone and expression never change and feels inhuman as a result. However, as the duel against the heroes continues, he becomes hammier but shows signs of insecurity once people mention that he's afraid of losing.

* KillThemAll: Zarc makes himself clear in episode 136, he plans on killing everyone. But he wants a challenge.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Although horrifying, Zarc's first order of business upon his revival is to first attack the Fusion Dimension which closely qualifies as this trope given that the Arc Area Project was what started the chain of events leading to his revival, this is however downplayed since given that this is [[OmnicidalManiac Zarc]] we're talking about he would have probably done the same regardless of the dimension he would have ended revived in since he very clearly stated his KillThemAll goal.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: "Zarc" or "Z-Arc". The anime goes with Zarc. The TCG spells it "Z-ARC" in his card. This applies in the original Japanese name as well, where his name is written as "Zuāku" (ズァーク), where the "Za-" part is spelled with two katakana characters instead of one ("za" is usually written as ザ), suggesting "Z-Arc" is in fact the intended spelling.

* OutOfCharacterMoment: During his One-Turn Kill against Mieru, Yuya acts like a charming {{Bishounen}} guy. It is either this, is part of his entertainer persona, or just Mieru's imagination.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Like his counterparts, in his original human form he used to have silver hair with some green highlights.

* {{Irony}}: He and Ray meet as enemies and he is split while cursing Ray. In the four dimensions, three of his four reincarnations are shown to be good friends with their respective Ray counterparts.
* InvincibleVillain: Being the BigBad who wields the strongest cards in the multiverse, Zarc is impossibly strong as a duelist. Beating him takes cards specifically designed to counter his deck.

The [[AntagonistTitle titular main antagonist]] of ''ARC-V'', a Duelist from the Original Dimension who is the original form of Yuya Sakaki and his other doppelgangers Yuto, Yugo and Yuri, as well as the original owner of the Four Heavenly Dragons: Odd-Eyes Dragon, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Starve Venom Fusion Dragon.

* ObliviousToLove: Fortunately, not to the extent of previous protagonists. [[note]]Judai/Jaden, Mr. "I-don't-know-what-fiancé-means," we're looking at you.[[/note]]. Though in his defense, {{tsundere}}s can be confusing to deal with, with the mixed signals he gets.

* UnfortunateNames: Well, there's nothing wrong with his name in and of itself, but the fact that it sounds very similar to "Yūgō" (the Japanese term for "fusion") causes quite a few problems given the [[BigBad role]] of the Fusion Dimension.
