* BrutalHonesty: In "All New Inhumans #11" she explains to Crystal that no matter how many mutants she does help out, and while she is better than most, there will always be a next time until they destroy the terrigen cloud.

* HeelFaceBrainwashing: In Eve of Destruction storyline, Jean Grey was desperate to find a new team, and quickly to save Professor Xavier. She acknowledges that one of Magneto's lieutenants, Frenzy, has been captured by the US Army. Not only does Jean enter her mind to get the info she needs on Genosha (Magneto's island) and its defenses, but she thinks that having a superpowered guide in that hellhole would be a good idea, so she just rewrites Frenzy's mind and makes her an X-Men enthusiast (so fanatically devoted to the X-Men cause, all of a sudden, that it was creepy).

* CaptainErsatz: ComicBook/{{Diabolik}} and Franchise/{{Fantomas}}. He even has Diabolik's SpyCatsuit and E.V.A. is named after Diabolik's girlfriend Eva Kant. His name is an obvious play on ''Fantomas'', and like the Mexican comicbook ComicBook/{{Fantomas}}, he never removes his mask.

* {{Transplant}}: He became a supporting member of the Spider-Man 2016 comic, serving as ComicBook/MilesMorales roommate.

Former teen hero Firestar is a founding member of the [[Comicbook/NewWarriors New Warrior]], and a former [[Comicbook/TheAvengers Avenger]], but never dealt with the strange adventures of her mutant brethren, the X-Men until joining the team in ''Comicbook/AmazingXMen''. She acclimates very quickly in her first mission and becomes a valuable part of the team and also enjoys sometimes hanging out with her amazing friend, Iceman.

The cloned sister of Comicbook/{{X 23}}, Gabby was created by Alchemax Genetics along with nine other sisters. After Laura helped the Sisters take down the ones who created and abused them, Gabby remained with her as her KidSidekick. She finally joined the ''X-Men'' when she and Laura joined [[Comicbook/XMenRed the resurrected Jean Grey's team]] after Cassandra Nova framed Jean for the murder of a UN ambassador.

** Notably ''averted'' when [[spoiler:she wipes Matthew Malloy from existence. Even though one of the manifestations of his mutant power ''destroyed an entire Skrull army'' during the events of ''Comicbook/SecretInvasion'', this apparently had no effect on the timeline.]]

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: In terms of her powers, she's viewed as this for [[Comicbook/{{NYX}} Kiden Nixon]] for some readers.

*** As her abilities improve, it's heavily implied that her time travel abilities break one of the fundamental laws of time travel in the Marvel Universe: She can alter her ''own'' reality's past.[[note]]In other time travel stories, changing the past leads to a divergent future and a new universe. She debuted into Franchise/MarvelUniverse in ''[[ComicBook/AdjectivelessXMen X-Men]]'' #205 (November 2007). She's created by Creator/MikeCarey and Chris Bachalo.

* BoobsOfSteel: She has the typical comic book physique in addition to her muscles, and a lot of her outfits seem dedicated to showing this fact.

* FaceHeelTurn: Instead of accidentally killing herself she transported herself to a different location and her mutant power allowed her to arrive intact. Unfortunately, no-one knew this or was in any position to rescue her, leaving her just a little angry. Selene finds her, and lies to Clarice that the X-Men did know, they just couldn't be bothered saving her. Blink believes this. Also, Selene uses some magic to control her.

* ButNotTooBlack: Frenzy is black, but artists and colorists occasionally struggle with remembering that. She's gone for entire story arcs looking like a white woman with a slight tan.
