Formed by Lieutenant Colonel Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke in 1942, the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, also known as the Strike Witches, is a specialist unit composed entirely of witches originally stationed in Britannia and later in Romagna. Their primary duty is defending the area where they are stationed from Neuroi. After liberating Gallia from the Neuroi in 1944, they were disbanded, however they were reformed in Romagna six months later to help defend the area after the disastrous Operation Trajanus. During the liberation of Gallia, they were one of the squadrons under the command of Trevor Maloney, after they were reformed to defend Romagna they were placed under the command of Adolfine Galland.

* NiceGirl: She's optimistic, friendly, and kindhearted, which helps her get along great with her new squad despite everyone's different personalities. What's more, she's all around fun to be with whenever she hangs out with children.

* LadySwearsALot: Responsible for the majority of the profanity in the series. Gets to ClusterFBomb levels if Wittgenstein is around.

* HairTriggerTemper: Like Heinrike, it doesn't take much for her to blow a fuse, and she's just as quick to resort to violence if she gets pissed off, ''especially'' if it involves [[SitcomArchNemesis Wittgenstein]] or [[IdiotHero Kunika's]] weirdo antics.

* SitcomArchNemesis: With Wittgenstein. The two of them can't even stand being in the same room with each other and are constantly competing to see who is the superior witch.

* IWillFindYou: She was separated from her parents when the Neuroi invaded Orussia. One of her main motivations in the series is to find their whereabouts and reunite with them, as she believes that they're still alive somewhere out there. [[spoiler:The ''Luminous Witches'' reveals that her hopes weren't unfounded, as they're still very much alive and waiting for their daughter to find them.]]
