* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: They flip-flop between this and KnightsTemplar depending on what laws they are enforcing. On the reasonable end, they consider sexual assault - even "harmless" sexual assault like peeping - a very serious offense.

* RedOniBlueOni: Etlan is the more level headed of the twins, while Ekoh is the more emotional. Etlan scolds Ekoh for attacking Eastheath for no other reason than to "let loose".

* BigBrotherInstinct: He gets incredibly angered for Lucy when a witch attempts to not only sell items that could see through an unknowing person's clothes, but also attempts to do the same to her, as well as strip her of her clothes. He gets just as violent as the other Knights who were tracking this witch down, and drops the first f-strike in the series when the witch attempts to absolve himself of his crime when Estheath rightfully calls him out for what he was doing and the harm it would cause to his victims.

* BigBrotherInstinct: It's unknown which one of them is the older one, but they not only look out for one another, they also are protective of their Knight comrades. When word got out that a witch was attempting to sell items that look through someone's clothes, they immediately chase him down, knowing that Lucy would not take kindly to this man running free.
* PolarOppositeTwins: Echo is the more dominant and joyful half of the two twins, and tends to drag its twin Etlan. Etoran is the more level headed of the twins, scolding Echo for his reckless actions.
* RedOniBlueOni: Etoran is the more level headed of the twins, while Echo is the more emotional. Etoran scolds Echo for attacking Eastheath for no other reason than to "let loose".

Having gone through a particularly traumatic case of sexual harassment when she was younger, Lucy does ''not'' take kindly to people like him.

* CorruptPolitician: [[spoiler:Eventually revealed to have fallen into corruption. Is right now being interrogated by Vinnana and has been replaced by his former assistant, Lagler.]]
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: The first time we physically see Engendill in-person, he resembled an old, feeble, corrupt man that made readers wonder how, in anyways, he is comparable to the other two Sages. [[spoiler:Come Chapter 63 and it shows how ruthless, powerful and manipulative he can be to understand why he ''had'' to be ousted and imprisoned.]]

He earned the brief trust of the convicted pervert by chatting with him like an old harmless grandpa. Than, he enticed him by offering him a means of escape after revealing that his ring kept a hidden vial of magic ink. Afterwards, he convinced the pervert to undergo forbidden magic via bodily enhancement (i.e. turning him stretchy like Luffy from One-Piece), knowing ''full-well'' that the pervert would try to escape through the bars where curtain leeches are known to inhabit. Once the curtain leeches letched on to the pervert, his now tainted blood destabilised, causing his body to [[Main/BodyHorror swell up and explode with the force of TNT]], breaking a breach and allowing Engendill to escape. Said leech now mutated and grown into a Kaiju-sized monster, turning it into a ''very useful distraction''. All in all, Engendill managed to convinced a fellow criminal to become a living bomb whilst factoring a plan to create a giant Godzilla-sized distraction for escape and he did all of this in a matter of ''hours''.]]

* AmnesiacLover: [[spoiler:Because of Ininia, Garuga loses all his memories related to magic, causing him to forget even his own lover Atuarto. Not wating to be separated, Atuarto convinces Garuga to become his apprentice so they can be together even though Garuga can't remember their previous relationship as lovers.]]

* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler: While Atuarto pleads for the Knights to find a way to restore his memories, the Knights instead decide he would be shipped off to an island where witches who lost their memories would go to learn how to live without their magic. For many witches, this would be considered something even worse than death.]]
