Trope was cut/disambiguated due to cleanup

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Beats the snot out of Dirtfoot after he talks disgracefully about [[spoiler:Ishlin]] after he died.

* SpeakIllOfTheDead: When Stinkfoot says they should remember [[spoiler:Ishlin]] for who he was, Dirtfoot jokes that everyone should start drinking until they're covered in their own vomit and urine. [[KickTheSonOfABitch Stinkfoot promptly beats the shit out of him]].

* BadassGrandpa: His age has yet to be revealed, but it's implied he's lived a very long life and probably should've been dead years ago. Still, chapter 14 shows he's fully capable of handling himself in a massive battle.

Added DiffLines:

!!Kurwin the Flayer

The main "antagonist" of the story, Kurwin's an aging pirate who wishes to conquer all of Mossflower while keeping what's left of his crew intact.

* AntiVillain: In stark contrast to [[AntiHero Urthquake]]. Kurwin isn't shy about admitting he's a cold-blooded murderer, or that he leads a crew of killers, rapists and thieves. But he's also AFatherToHisMen, AffablyEvil (at times), and his main motivation for conquering Mossflower is that he feels like his race has suffered from FantasticRacism for much too long.
* BadassGrandpa: His age has yet to be revealed, but it's implied he's lived a very long life and probably should've been dead years ago. Still, chapter 14 shows he's fully capable of handling himself in a massive battle.
* {{Determinator}}: Even though he knows what he's doing will probably send him to the grave, Kurwin refuses to give up on his task of taking over Mossflower, and will do whatever's necessary until the forest is under vermin control.
* FlayingAlive: How Kurwin earned his title.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's not the nicest creature around, but he cares deeply for his crew and tries to help them whenever he can.
* ManipulativeBastard: He manages to manipulate Fleckle Mard into poisoning Ferrin Rord just by talking to him and pointing out how much Rord mistreats him.
* YouNeedABreathMint: Longfang bluntly tells Kurwin his breath smells like "fish guts simmering in rat shit" in chapter 13. Kurwin casually remarks that he better get used to the smell, since he doesn't like bathing or brushing his teeth.

!!Traegar "Trae" Rigglo

Kurwin's first mate and most trusted ally.

* CombatPragmatist: Traegar takes pride in fighting dirty, and knows that all that matters is winning, not keeping his honor intact.
--> '''Traegar''': "I don't fight fair, Cap'n. I fight ''smart''."
* DemotedToExtra: When the story first began, he received more screentime than Kurwin did. But the further along the story progressed, the more and more he got pushed to the side while Kurwin himself was fleshed out more.
* TheDragon: To Kurwin the Flayer.
* HeroKiller: His first appearance shows him coldly slashing the [[DecoyProtagonist Decoy Protagonist's]] throat, and a few chapters later, he also kills another so-called hero in a fierce one-on-one duel.
* WickedWeasel
* YouNeedABreathMint: Invoked in chapter 1 when Traegar eats several ramsons [[ItMakesSenseInContext to cover up the smell of vittles on his breath from Kurwin]].

!!Stinkfoot

* AffablyEvil: One of the nicest, more pacifistic characters in Kurwin's crew.
* InterruptedSuicide: Reveals in chapter 12 that, having lost his sanity and been alone for so long, he swam out into the ocean to drown himself. He was later rescued by Kurwin's crew before he died.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: Beats the snot out of Dirtfoot after he talks disgracefully about [[spoiler:Ishlin]] after he died.
* NiceGuy: A very friendly pirate and easy to get along with.
* SmellyFeet: He's not called "Stinkfoot" for nothing...

!!Dirtfoot

* {{Jerkass}}: He's a very smug, narrow-minded rat who frequently insults others and instigates when he knows he shouldn't.
* SmugSnake: He runs his mouth and acts like he's better than Kurwin, but he never follows through on his words.
* TheStarscream: [[spoiler:He and Muslar are working behind Kuriwn's back and attempting to start a mutiny]].
* YouDirtyRat: One of the most despicable rodents in Kurwin's crew.

!!Slizzo "Dead-Eye"

* DeathByIrony: His name is "Dead-Eye" because he wears an eyepatch over his left eye. His death involves an arrow going through his ''right'' eye, which makes his nickname even more relevant.
* EyeScream: Get an arrow shot through his right eye.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With his best friend and cabin mate Longfang.
* MauveShirt: A minor background character who had a few lines, but didn't play a huge role in the story.
* SacrificialLamb: He's the first named recurring character in the story to bite it, further establishing the fanfic's AnyoneCanDie theme and activating Longfang's CharacterDevelopment.
* YouNeedABreathMint: Several characters openly poke fun at how much Dead-Eye's breath stinks.

!!Longfang

* BuryYourGays: Chapter 13 confirms that he's homosexual, and he also ends up dying at the end of said chapter.
* ADeathInTheLimelight: Chapter 13 explains how he joined Kurwin's crew, his relationship with Dead-Eye, and his struggles with living with the sins he's committed. Then he dies at the end, right after his backstory is revealed.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With his best friend and cabin mate Dead-Eye.
* SacrificialLion: The first major character in the series to die. What made his death so jarring was that the story was building up his character to make it seem like he'd play an important role in the series.
* StraightGay: He's homosexual, but he's not effeminate or promiscuous.

!!Blowhorn

* AffablyEvil: Is a friendly, albeit disgusting and smelly rat.
* {{Gasshole}}: He enjoys passing gas and annoying his fellow pirates with his flatulence.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Chapter 15 has him and Razzik having a reflecting conversation with each other, where Blowhorn fears that no one will remember him when he dies. Up until then, he was just a rodent who joked a lot and indulged in ToiletHumour.
* PluckyComicRelief: He's the main source of humor for Kurwin's subplot, and he always appears to lighten up the mood (or to disgust others).
* PottyFailure: He shits himself (twice) in chapter 12, and has mentioned throughout the story that he's not shy about soiling his trousers.
* YouDirtyRat: Averted. While he is literally a smelly, filthy rat, he and Razzik are much nicer than the other rodents in Kurwin's crew.
