Baal goes from being just another 13 Crown senior member up to second-in-command behind the Three Greats. Basically, he now has the same status as the 13 Crown second-in-command, Belzebuth.

* RankUp: He's eventually promoted up in the 13 Crowns due to the EngineeredHeroics stunt that he pulled off during the Masquerade Ball Deviculum. * VillainousCrush: Atori seems to have one on Balam. After Balam is done asking Atori and Shiida some questions Atori tells Shiida how excited he felt because he felt so threatened by Balam. When Atori fights Balam later in the heartbreaker arc he talks about happy he is while he starts to blush heavily. When Atori stalls Balam using his web power so he can escape he blows the webbing at Balam in the same manner as blowing a kiss.

* FashionDesigner: As part of his cover in Walter Park, he works in a clothing boutique and helps quickly mend and alter clothing for patrons.

* EngineeredHeroics: Baal has Behemolt released at the Deviculum so that he'll rampage at the revelation the other Thirteen Crowns called to replace him, then strike Behemolt down himself once he proves unstoppable. However, when it's just him and Iruma and he is minutes away from achieving his goal of blowing up the school, he pushes Iruma down with a deranged look on his face exclaiming about the exstacy he will soon feel from all the depair both in the lose of life and in the parents coming to find their children's corpses. It is this moment that reminds Iruma no matter how much he might look like those around him, they are demons and some are truly dangerous creatures.

* MirrorCharacter: To Iruma. Both have been abused by their biological parents, were shunned and eventually abandoned by them, are incredibly weak magically with their only natural strength being defensive actions; Kiriwo using barriers while Iruma dodges things. Both have magical tools which allow them greater access to magical abilities thanks to the magic of an adoptive figure in their lives; Iruma possessing the Ring of Gluttony imbued by his grandfather's power, and after his escape from Walter Park Baal had a ring-shaped tag made for Kiriwo and imbued with his own power. But whereas Iruma wants to make the Demon World a better, happier place like Bablys and is a HopeBringer to many close to him, Kiriwo is a HopeCrusher who seeks to destroy the stability of the Demon World and make it a chaotic nightmare.

* RedRightHand: Because of his Origins eyes, Azz was able to to figure out he Returned to Origins, and attacks him immediately before being blocked by his barrier. Azz was able to figure this out due to a footage Balam showed him.
