* HeroAntagonist: While he is one of the more heroic characters in the cast, he is still the main adversary of Azulin, the protagonist of the story. To a lesser extent, he also serves as one to Gordi, who swore to protect his brother. Gordi tries to protect Azulin when he is assaulted by Coco.

* ArchEnemy: Though he's one of the more heroic characters in the film, and all of his villainous acts are a result of being conditioned rather than genuine malice, in Azulin's eyes, Coco's very existence is an insult to him just for being better than him in many ways, and earning everything he can only desire having, such as the goodwill of his people.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In Azulin's eyes, Coco's very existence is an insult to him. He takes up Azulin's desired spot of being "the best", serving as a major obstacle for his persistent effort of being "the Chosen One". As a result of this, many of Azulin's past scars and insecurities are re-opened, putting him on a long, dark path of bad decisions. Once Azulin kills him, and gets assaulted by unicorns, his beliefs about being "the best" are completely crushed, and comes to believe that not even that would ensure survival in the Magical Forest, leading to its destruction.

* DespairEventHorizon: Joins in Sergeant Caricias' DespairSpeech when it seems all hopes to come back alive from the mission are gone and the troop will share a similar fate as [[CruelAndUnusualDeath whatever the hell happened]] to Lone Owl Squad.

* {{Foil}}: To Gordi, particularly of his ineptitude as a soldier. Unlike Gordi, however, who at the very least has the heart that more than makes up for it, Pandi shows himself to be nothing more than a [[{{Jerkass}} rude unsympathetic individual]] that thinks his own comrade would only hold them back, ignoring the fact that hardly nobody in the group ([[{{Hypocrite}} including him]]) is qualified for such a [[SuicideMission risky expedition into enemy territory]].

* Druid: As they're in communion with Magical Forest, they can understand and talk with other species and critters of the forest, who also are as sapient and sentient as them.

* BalconySpeech: When the teddy bears start burning Magical Forest and look like they're ready for [[FinalBattle a final assault in an all-or-nothing attack]], Ruth gives one of these to her warriors. [[LastStand They'll either erradicate the teddy bears, or die with Magical Forest.]]

* ForestRanger: What they basically are. Threaten Magical Forest's landscape and the Unicorns will make sure [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice you'll no longer be able to cause any more harm again]], or you'll get expelled from their sacred lands forever.

* OneGenderRace: From the unicorns' name the viewers gets to know, all unicorns seem to be female. This is later confirmed to be the case for the whole species as stated by WordOfGod.

* MissingMom: Her mother is missing for the first half of the movie, then [[spoiler: gets killed by Caricias' platoon around the midpoint.]]

* DeathGlare: Gives one when she sees Caricias' soldiers rushing to her position.

A big brown teddy bear that despite his imposing appearance is as weak and incompetent as the rest of the squad.

* GoombaStomp: [[spoiler: The undignified way he was killed by an unicorn avenging Carmen's death]]. Mind you that he was supposed to be the strongest in his squad.
