* WhatAnIdiot: [[spoiler: His hiring policies are completely questionable, from the not-so-loyal and increasingly insane Jonas Hodges to the vengeful-seeking Tony Almeida, whom Wilson supposedly tried to have killed years ago and successfully killed his wife, both of these go the way you'd expect. Also increasingly giving into the pleas his mistress(who is being easily manipulated by Tony), despite his operation increasingly derailing, and even agreeing to come out of hiding just to meet Tony, who as far as Wilson was concerned(because he, and the writers, forgot all about trying to have Tony killed years ago) was just a Mook? The ONLY reason this isn't TooDumbToLive is because he was saved at the last minute by Jack and Renee, and instead of dying he was tortured by Renee and sent to prison.]]
*YourMileageMayVary: There are people who don't hate Wilson or TheReveal and enjoyed the last arc of season 7, but there are also a lot of people who hate everything about it.

Continuing 24s love affair with the "OurPresidentsOurDifferent" trope, Allison Taylor is a Republican woman. On the whole, she did a pretty good job of taking after David Palmer... at least during Season 7.

Bill was a departure for the 24 writers. Most of the time, TheCaptain of CTU is either someone who has spent time in the field (and thus developed loyalty to Jack) or an ArmchairGeneral and ObstructiveBureaucrat. Bill was an ArmchairGeneral and loyal to Jack. This made him one of the show's strongest assets, since he not only had the authority Jack didn't, but was willing to throw it around at Jack's discretion.

One of the show's most beloved characters, Tony was essentially TheLancer and NumberTwo to Jack for a long time. Killed in Season 5, he returned in Season 7, bringing with him a GreyAndGrayMorality which (amongst other things) made that season the best of the series.

Perhaps the classic VoiceWithAnInternetConnection on the show, Chloe's defining traits were her proficiency at HollywoodHacking, her Deadpan Snarkery, and her unshakeable loyalty to Jack. In the end, she supplanted Tony as the character who appeared in the most episodes (and who wasn't Jack).
