They task the Fatemaker with helping them break the chains of oppression--both figuratively and literally. The group is led by Jar, a timid goblin who struggles against her fear to free her people.

* LaResistance: They're fighting for their freedom from the tyrannical Vorcarnar.

* HatedByAll: As noted above, few genuinely like Claptrap but a ''lot'' more hate his guts and would love ''nothing'' more than for terrible, awful things to happen to him. The Fatemsker does try to be polite and supportive to start with (to a degree dependent on their personality), but soon comes to learn why he has the reputation he does.

* TheCorruption: Their numbers are being thinned out by a maddening plague unleashed upon them by Garglesmell.

A heavy metal band in the Weapwild Dankness competing against their bitter rivals, Plaguerat Apocalypse. They're fervent worshipers of the demon Zygaxis and are led by Sinistrella.

For unknown reasons, her voice and mannerisms bear a striking resemblance to [=GenIVIV=], the combat AI of the Jakobs family ship, the Family Jewel, which wouldn't be introduced until ''3''. An evil water goddess imprisoned in the Sunfang Oasis. Salissa is released due to the Fatemaker's carelessness, prompting [[VideoGame/TheWitcher Geritt of Trivia]] to send them on a convoluted plan to stop her.
