I wouldn't say Andrew was unwitting instigator of doom considering he was actively trying to bring doom on the group.

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Andrew is only around for two episodes, but his attack on prison ends up not only causing the death of T-Dog, but also causes Lori to enter labor early and start hemorrhaging heavily, forcing Maggie to perform an emergency crude C-section to save her baby at the cost of her life. This ends up not only costing the survivors two valuable allies, but also sends Rick into a mental downward spiral for the rest of the season, which leads to serious consequences for the group.

insufficient context. per TRS, ship sinking now must be a scene or plot point which is designed specifically to show the characters will never get together

* ShipTease: With Carol. Emphasis on 'tease'. Unfortunately, [[ShipSinking it goes nowhere]], as Axel is killed by the Governor.

* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Completely averted. Of [[DeathByChildbirth all]] [[EatenAlive the]] [[OffWithHisHead horrible]] [[BoomHeadshot deaths]] that have befallen the cast throughout the show, Bob gets probably the most peaceful, almost heartwarming death of all. He's bitten, and his leg is cut off and eaten by the Hunters, but he doesn't appear to be in any pain as he slowly dies. Not only does he die with the knowledge that his surrogate family have killed the Hunters, but he gets to say goodbye to all of them, and spends his final moments smiling with Sasha.

* AxCrazy: Her behavior in the later half of Season 4 develops into textbook symptoms of violent mental instability. She secretly kills rabbits at night (and not for food), and almost kills Judith with a sense of fascination on her face. In "The Grove", she has degenerated to the point where she murders Mika so that she'll come back as a walker and would've done the same to Judith if Carol and Tyreese hadn't found her. It is implied that she showed some signs of mental illness before the ZombieApocalypse, since Mika has a system of making her look at flowers when Lizzie starts becoming severely agitated or crazy.

** Lizzie acts as a contrast to Carol in Season 4, as Carol acts strictly rational in comparison to Lizzie's irrationality. Carol accepts killing as a necessity, but does so only after deliberation and she hates it anyway. Lizzie meanwhile embraces death in all its forms without thought or real understanding.

Like the walkers she identifies with, she's not actively evil or intentionally malicious... just too dangerous to be allowed to continue living.

Five inmates who have been stuck in the Prison for ten months prior to Rick's group arriving due to a PrisonRiot breaking out once the outbreak started.
----
* FiveManBand:
** TheLeader / BigBad: Tomas. He's the one who takes command of the prisoners.
** TheLancer / TheDragon: Andrew. He's Tomas' NumberTwo.
** TheSmartGuy: Oscar. He's easily the smartest and most down-to-Earth of the prisoners.
** TheBigGuy: Big Tiny. He's the biggest and most physically-capable of the prisoners.
** TheChick: Axel. He's shown to be the peacekeeper of the prisoners.
* KillEmAll: They're all dead by the end of Season 3.
* NeverGotToSayGoodbye: None of them got to say goodbye to their loved ones they knew before the outbreak due to a PrisonRiot combined with dying guards and inmates reanimating and overrunning the prison.
* NobodyPoops: Averted. Rick finds out the hard way how they've been relieving themselves the months prior to his arrival when he opens a door Tomás warns him not to open.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: They're shown to be capable of dishing these out when they have the chance, as seen with the first walkers they encounter alongside Rick's group when clearing out a cell-block. The said walkers were lucky that they died before they encountered them.
* OddNameOut: There's Andrew, Axel, Oscar, Tomas, ... and [[OnlyKnownByTheirNickname Big Tiny]].
* SleptThroughTheApocalypse: Thanks to the PrisonRiot ten months prior to the group's arrival, they had to take shelter in the prison's kitchen, leaving them with no prior knowledge of what's happened outside the prison.

Axel is a two-bit criminal imprisoned for armed robbery with a water pistol. He was trapped in the prison after the ZombieApocalypse began, where he was pushed around by Tomas and Andrew, causing him to be relieved when Rick's group arrived. He joins the group after Oscar kills Andrew and saves Rick. He is murdered by the Governor during the first Woodbury assault on the prison.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Lacks his comic counterpart's perverted tendencies.
* AdaptationalWimp: His comic counterpart is ''TheBigGuy'' of the prison survivors.
* AintTooProudToBeg: After Rick kills Tomas and ([[NotQuiteDead supposedly]]) Andrew for attempting to murder him, Axel begs Rick to spare his life, claiming that he isn't dangerous and was only imprisoned due to his prescription drug addiction. The last part is a lie, since he had been arrested for armed robbery (albeit with a water pistol) and he was trying to seem non-threatening.
* BoomHeadshot: Courtesy of the Governor, much like his comic counterpart.
* BulletproofHumanShield: Becomes this after his death, with Carol being forced to take cover behind his corpse. It works surprisingly well.
* ButtMonkey: He was mercilessly bullied by Tomas and Andrew before Rick's group showed up, although Oscar stood up for him before that.
* CasanovaWannabe: Begins to flirt with Beth because he believes she's the only single straight woman of the group. After Carol tells him to back off and that she's not a lesbian -- Axel thought she was one [[AssociationFallacy because of the short hair]] -- he instantly begins to hit on her. She casually rejects him.
* DeadpanSnarker: He has shades of this after joining Rick's group.
* DeathByAdaptation: In the comics, Axel was the first casualty during the Governor's 2nd attack on the prison. Here, he's killed right at the very start of the first attack.
* ADeathInTheLimelight: In "Home", he gets a lot of focus and some backstory revealed before being shot in the head by the Governor.
* GreaseMonkey: Mentions to Daryl that he could help give his motorcycle a tune up. Also tries to get the prison generators working.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Mistakes Carol for a lesbian because [[AssociationFallacy she has short hair]].
* KilledMidSentence: He is shot in the head by the Governor while he and Carol are in a middle of a conversation.
--> '''Axel:''' One time, that son of a bitch --
* MauveShirt: The show teases that he will become a member of the group. He's then killed during the first raid the Governor makes against the prison.
* NervousWreck: Although this does not stop him from volunteering to help rescue Glenn and Maggie after they get captured by Woodbury.
* NiceGuy: He spends most of "Sick" attempting to get Rick's group and his fellow prisoners to get along. It really doesn't work, although he and Oscar do manage to earn the group's trust later, and he proves to be a loyal, hardworking member of the group for the remainder of his tenure on the show.
* NonActionGuy: He admits that guns make him nervous, and that when he robbed a store he just used a water pistol.
* PluckyComicRelief: Most of his scenes tend to involve him being put down or having awkward conversations with other survivors.
* RedOniBlueOni: The talkative, emotional red to Oscar's calm, quiet blue.
* ShipTease: With Carol. Emphasis on 'tease'. Unfortunately, [[ShipSinking it goes nowhere]], as Axel is killed by the Governor.
* SurprisinglySuddenDeath: Gets shot in the head by the Governor out of nowhere.
* TokenWhite: To the prison survivors. Oscar, Andrew and Big Tiny are all African-American while Tomas is Hispanic.
* VerbalTic: "You follow me?"

Oscar is a prisoner who was forced to go along with Tomas' leadership of the prison survivors. He was in prison for breaking and entering and had a wife and kids. He joined the group after killing Andrew and saving Rick. Oscar is killed in the middle of Season 3 after helping rescue Glenn and Maggie from Woodbury.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: While clearing the prison, he uses an axe as his main weapon.
* BigDamnHeroes: He saves Rick's life by throwing a barrel at Andrew during their fight and then shooting the latter in the head.
* TheBigGuy: After joining the group.
** BigGuyFatalitySyndrome: ... and he is the second one to suffer it in Season 3 as well, following T-Dog.
* BoomHeadshot: Maggie shoots him to prevent reanimation.
* CanonForeigner: He never appeared in the comics. However, his appearance is quite similar to that of Dexter.
* CharacterDeath: He's shot in the back by a Woodbury soldier.
* DefiantToTheEnd: While he isn't killed, Oscar refuses to make a case for his life to Rick after Tomas and (supposedly) Andrew are killed for trying to murder and attack Rick. He states that he has never begged for his life before and won't do it now.
* JackOfAllStats: He has better agility than [[MightyGlacier T-Dog]] but, while still strong, doesn't match his strength and toughness.
* MauveShirt: He gets a little background and a few personality traits before being killed off.
* NeverGotToSayGoodbye: He had a wife and children before the outbreak. After he's freed by Rick, he asks for a phone to try and contact them. It's unknown if they died during the outbreak or if they found shelter.
* NiceGuy: He's a reasonable man, and selflessly risks his life to save Glenn and Maggie. Axel mentions that before meeting up with Rick's group, Oscar used to always stand up for him when Tomas and Andrew tried to push him around.
* TheQuietOne: He tends to remain pretty quiet in most group discussions.
* RedOniBlueOni: Calm, quiet blue to Axel's talkative, emotional red.

Andrew is Tomas', right-hand man. He is killed by Oscar after luring a large number of walkers into the prison in an attempt to kill Rick's group.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: He may be a scumbag, but give the man credit: he survived being locked in close quarters with a bunch of walkers and caused utter chaos for the survivors before going mano-a-mano with Rick. It's more than his comic counterpart ever came close to achieving.
* AdaptationalIntelligence: He's more composed and strategic than his comic counterpart.
* AdaptationalJerkass: He's already a villain, but he's ''far'' more dangerous in this incarnation, making his comic counterpart pale in comparison.
* AdaptationalSexuality: In the comics, he was in a one-sided relationship with Dexter because there [[SituationalSexuality were no women in the prison]]. In the TV series, this is seemingly reduced to him being a friend/underling of Tomas.
* AnAxeToGrind: When he attacks Rick and Oscar in the generator room, he has a big axe as his weapon.
* AssholeVictim: When even the merciful, doting Hershel is cursing you as an asshole after your death, you know you qualify for this trope.
* BatterUp: He uses a bat as his main weapon when fighting walkers.
* BoomHeadshot: At the hands of Oscar.
* DeathByAdaptation: In the comic/novel, he flees from the prison before dying from an unknown cause and being put down by Lilly Caul after reanimation. Here, he's killed by Oscar in the prison.
* DevouredByTheHorde: This is heavily implied to be his fate after Rick locks him in a courtyard with a bunch of walkers, though it is averted when he shows up a couple episodes later orchestrating his revenge.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: He plans to use the walkers to kill the inhabitants of the prison so that he can retake it. However, since he is inside the prison while carrying out this plan, he's basically trapped himself inside a building full of walkers. Even if he survives, it's unlikely he can fend off other survivors by himself.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: For the first half of Season 3.
* TheDragon: To Tomas, being the only prisoner to follow his orders without protest.
* DragonAscendant: He proves to be far deadlier than Tomas, managing to survive near-certain death, orchestrating a walker attack on the prison that leads to two major character deaths, and even holding his own in a fight against Rick.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He is just as freaked out as the others after watching Tomas brutally kill Big Tiny and even tries to get Rick to save the latter somehow before his death.
* FriendToPsychos: It looks like Tomas was the weapon that Andrew aimed at the rest of the prison, judging by the rather devastating intellect displayed under FromNobodyToNightmare.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Despite appearing to be Tomas' lackey, he manages to cripple the group to the point of being a HeroKiller.
* HeroKiller: His plan to take back the prison directly and indirectly leads to the deaths of two notable Atlanta survivors: T-Dog and Lori.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: He trusts Oscar to be on his side and shoot Rick, after Oscar had just thrown a barrel at him.
* MoeGreeneSpecial: Oscar kills him by shooting him in the eye.
* NotQuiteDead: He is believed to be dead after Rick locks him in a courtyard full of walkers, but he later turns up alive in "Killer Within", with disastrous consequences.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: In his first appearance, he seems like nothing more than a lackey for Tomas, taking an ineffectual swing at Rick and presumably getting himself killed as a result. The next time he's seen is after surviving getting locked in the courtyard full of walkers, unleashes a horde of them on the heroes, and holds his own in a one-on-one fight against Rick.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After Tomas is killed, Andrew bolts and is left to his fate by Rick, only to come back two episodes later and die for real.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Setting off the alarms ends up luring even more walkers to the prison's surrounding area.
* TattooedCrook: He has tattoos on his chest and is in prison for an unspecified crime.
* TooDumbToLive: Great job running off into the darkness unarmed, mate. Amazingly, he survives and wrecks havoc on the survivors.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Tomas, for some reason. It could be that he shared the [[SituationalSexuality relationship]] with Tomas that his comic counterpart had with Dexter.

Tomas is the leader of the prisoners, having held a position of authority even before the ZombieApocalypse. He does not take kindly to Rick taking charge of the prison. He is killed by Rick after attempting to kill him.
----
* AdaptationNameChange: To complement the RaceLift.
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Thomas Richards is an unfit and balding man in the comics. Here, he is given a fit and badass appearance similar to the Governor's comic counterpart.
* AdaptationalBadass: Thomas Richards is an ActionSurvivor at best, while Tomas can kick ass if he needs to.
* AssholeVictim: Killed by Rick after trying to slice him with a machete, and after failing that, throwing a walker onto him.
* AxCrazy: After Big Tiny is (presumably) infected, Tomas immediately takes his pickaxe and destroys his head, [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill hitting it over and over until there is nothing left]] and remaining totally nonchalant about it. Keep in mind that this is someone he's been locked up with for at least eight months.
* CompositeCharacter: His role in the story best resembles Dexter, while his appearance matches the comic version of the Governor and his name is the Spanish equivalent of Thomas Richards.
* DeathByAdaptation: [[CompositeCharacter Both]] of his prisoner counterparts were able to stick long enough in the comics, while he doesn't even last a single episode (excluding his last minute appearance in the previous one).
* GangBangers: He is implied to have been a gang member prior to being imprisoned.
* IronicEcho: "Shit happens." In record time, too.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's antagonistic and rude to Rick's group from the moment he's introduced.
* TheLeader: Of the prison survivors.
* MuggingTheMonster: He tries to kill Rick twice with walkers but Rick soon kills him.
* PowerfulPick: He uses a small pickaxe as his main melee weapon.
* RaceLift: Tomas' comic counterparts Thomas Richards and Dexter are white and black, respectively.
* StarterVillain: For Season 3. He's dead by the second episode; his lackey, Andrew, takes over as the season's DiscOneFinalBoss from there.
* TattooedCrook: He has numerous tattoos covering his body and is likely incarcerated for a violent crime, given how AxCrazy he is.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: He thinks he can push Rick and his crew around, despite having seen the number of walkers they wasted taking the prison. Then he tries to kill Rick and tells him that "shit happens". A machete to his head by Rick was really the only way that situation was going to end.
* VillainHasAPoint:
** When Daryl tries to order the prisoners to leave since they’re free to go, Tomás points out that if a group of non-criminals is in the prison, they likely don’t have anywhere else to go.
** Once he understands that there is no chance of saving Big Tiny’s life, he kills him despite Big Tiny’s desperate insistence that he’s fine and Andrew’s attempts to save him. It’s brutal and shows how unhinged he is, but Big Tiny would inevitably have to be put down at some point.
* VillainsNeverLie: PlayedForLaughs when he warns Rick not to open a certain door in the kitchen. Rick thinks he’s just being an uncooperative ass, but finds out the hard way where the five have been relieving themselves for the past several months and that there was a very good reason Tomás said not to open the door. Tomás can’t stop himself from laughing his ass off - he warned him!

Big Tiny is the muscle of the prison survivors who was serving a fifteen year sentence before the ZombieApocalypse.
----
* TheBigGuy: The producers described him as the "muscle" of the prison survivors...
* BigGuyFatalitySyndrome: ...which doesn't do him much good when he freaks out fighting walkers.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Aside from being the first inmate to die, he's also the first living casualty of Season 3.

* GentleGiant: He's pretty soft-spoken and nice despite his huge, intimidating size and strength.
* IronicNickname: "Tiny" is anything but.
* MightyGlacier: During the prison group's first fight scene, he attacks slower than the others, yet delivers the most damage to the walkers he's fighting. Too bad that's his only fight scene.

->''"Two times, two different groups. I was the last one standing. Like I was supposed to see it happen over and over, like it's some kind of curse."''

Bob Stookey is a former army medic who is recruited by Daryl and Glenn into the group during the TimeSkip between Seasons 3 and 4. Bob's struggles with his alcoholism cause the group much grief during his initial runs, getting one man killed and nearly compromising their effort to retrieve medicine to fight the plague wiping out the prison. Bob returns to the prison only to take part in the climactic final battle with The Governor that destroys his new home. However, to his relief, he finds himself surviving alongside Maggie and Sasha, breaking his streak of being the SoleSurvivor of any camp he joins.

He develops a relationship with Sasha, but tragically, he is bitten shortly after the group's successful escape from Terminus. Bob doesn't let anyone in on the secret, and soon finds himself as the dinner of Gareth and the Hunters, gleeful that they're apparently eating "tainted meat". He is returned to his group, and ultimately dies peacefully with Sasha after the Hunters are defeated, having left Rick some sage advice about how to keep on living.
----
* AdaptationDyeJob: Grey in the comics, black in the show.
* AdaptationExpansion[=/=]AscendedExtra: In the comics, Bob was a minor character in Woodbury who saved the Governor's life. In the show he has an altered backstory (Here, he has nothing to do with Woodbury) and is a main character.
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Aside from the alcoholism, he is also plagued by his SurvivorGuilt.
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Besides the RaceLift, his age is reduced for the show.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Possibly. His comic counterpart is a resident of Woodbury and is an ally of The Governor.
* AgeLift: He is much younger here than in the comics.
* TheAlcoholic: He has a rather severe drinking problem. In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E0130DaysWithoutAnAccident 30 Days Without An Accident]]", he struggles to walk past some alcohol during a supply run and nearly takes some with him. In [[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E04Indifference Indifference]], he tells Daryl that the alcohol helps him cope with being the SoleSurvivor of two other groups, particularly when the silence of being alone got to him.
** It's to the point he nearly dies for the sake of saving a bottle of hooch and almost draws his gun when Daryl prepares to throw the bottle away.
* TheAloner: He's ended up as the SoleSurvivor of a group twice before joining Rick's group. Each time he suffered extreme loneliness being left on his own.
* AnArmAndALeg: A Type 3 occurs to him in "Strangers" when he is knocked out and captured by the Hunters. He awakens to find Gareth and the other cannibals had cut most of his left leg off to eat it.
* BadassAngster: Despite being a trained soldier and all-around competent fighter, he spends a good amount of time against angsting over his SurvivorsGuilt and alcoholism and other assorted problems.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: While not the first casualty of Season 5, he's the first member of Rick's group to die during the season.
* CombatMedic: He served in the army as a medic.
* CompositeCharacter: Since Dale dies early, Bob (or rather his leg) picks up his role as The Hunters' food and as the "tainted meat".
* DeadPersonConversation: Several episodes after his death, he appears to the dying Tyreese in a vision along with several other deceased characters.
* DeathByAdaptation: His comic counterpart is still alive according to Wiki/TheOtherWiki.
* ADeathInTheLimelight: Has a lot of screentime in his last two episodes.
* DefiantToTheEnd: Attempted this against the Hunters, but they didn't kill him after he mocked them by eating his "tainted meat".
* DissonantSerenity: After the fall of the prison, Bob is oddly cheerful and upbeat. Sasha tells him it's fine to be glad he is alive, but Bob tells her that isn't why he is smiling and doesn't elaborate. Later he reveals that he's smiling because he's broken his trend. Their group may have fallen apart, but he's not alone anymore.
** When he's captured by the Hunters and is being EatenAlive, he's rather amused, which eventually does unnerve the Hunters. He smugly reveals that he had been bitten, and they'd been eating "tainted meat".
* FaceDeathWithDignity: No hysterical struggling, he just calmly said goodbye to his surrogate family before he [[GoOutWithASmile goes out with a smile]].
* GoOutWithASmile: After briefly passing into unconsciousness, he claims he dreamed of Sasha smiling at him, and thus, he dies smiling with her at his side.
* HatesBeingAlone: Bob's main motivation. He's spent more time than he counted alone after two groups fell apart, so he'll readily risk his life and overcome any obstacle to avoid being alone again.
* IgnoredEpiphany: He feels bad that his rampant alcoholism indirectly killed Zach, but does not try very hard to stop himself.
* TheLoad: Only when he encounters alcohol. On his first scavenging mission for the group he brings disaster onto them by bringing a shelf down onto himself, becoming trapped and forcing the others to try and free him while fighting off walkers attracted by the commotion.
** On his second, Bob, while on a mission to get medical supplies, fails to get any and instead takes a bottle of hooch.
* MercyKill: The only person he had killed prior to joining the Prison community was a woman who asked to be killed.
* NiceGuy: Issues aside, he was generally friendly to everyone. The only real exception was when he threatened Daryl after the latter threatened to get rid of his booze, though they ultimately made up, and until his death he remained one of the most hopeful and upbeat survivors.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Him knocking over the alcohol shelf in "30 Days Without An Accident" while successfully resisting the urge to take some results in dozens of walkers falling through the roof of the store, one of which ends up killing Zach.
* OnlyAFleshWound: {{Averted}}: when the prison is attacked by the Governor again, Bob is shot through the right shoulder. He quickly has Maggie and Sasha check for an exit wound, and after they confirm there is one, he remarks that he can wait to treat it and resumes shooting. He treats it after the battle, but a few days later he is still bleeding from the wound and his right arm is noticeably weaker.
* PreMortemOneLiner: Though he doesn't know for sure if it'll kill them, he delivers a great one to the Hunters as he reveals they've been eating "tainted meat".
-->'''Bob:''' I've been '''bitten''', you stupid pricks! I'm '''tainted meat!!'''
* RaceLift: Was white in the comics, and now black for the show.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* SacrificialLion: He is the first casualty of Rick's group in Season 5.
* ShipTease: With Sasha. They become an item in Season 5, briefly, until his death.
* SkewedPriorities: Due to his work as a medic, he feels the need to check a bullet wound ''while'' still fighting.
* SurvivorGuilt: A big issue for him. Before joining the prison group, Bob was reportedly part of two other groups, both of which he was the [[SoleSurvivor only survivor]]. He also expresses guilt over Zach's death, which he indirectly caused.
* TookALevelInCheerfulness: He started off as a very pessimistic and struggling alcoholic. He becomes more upbeat and optimistic over time.
* YoungerAndHipper: His comic counterpart is much older.
* ZombieInfectee: He's bitten early in Season 5 and dies of the bite in the next episode. His status as this, however, comes back to literally bite the Hunters in the ass when they eat his leg.

* EatenAlive: The walker that gets him begins eating him before a fallen helicopter breaks through the ceiling and [[MercyKill drops onto them]].
* HeroWorshipper: Towards Daryl. Part of this is trying to guess what Daryl did before the ZombieApocalypse.

----
* AmbiguousDisorder: Possibly on the autistic spectrum. He associates with children and even admits to being childish, though how much of it is a coping mechanism due to the events of the series is unclear.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: Quickly reanimates after dying from a strange illness that caused him to bleed from his eyes and nose. He is put down by Daryl in the next episode.
* BackForTheFinale: Briefly appears in a flashback in the Season 4 finale.
* BloodFromEveryOrifice: When he dies, he is bleeding from at least his eyes and nose.
* CanonForeigner: He never appeared in the comics, unless he's suppossed to be a version of Chris or Billy.
* HeroWorshipper: Like Zach, he is a big fan of Daryl and even asks for the honor of shaking his hand, which is extremely amusing to Daryl.

* RedShirt: He gets no more screen time than the unnamed prison residents, and is only notable for having been murdered by Carol alongside Karen.

[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/samuels_lizzie_7278.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:300:''"They're not dead, they're just...different."'']]
!!!'''Portrayed By:''' Creator/BrightonSharbino
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Cristina Yuste (Spanish dub), Mii Miki (Japanese dub), Josina Jagnow (German dub), Emmylou Homs (French dub), Margherita De Risi (Italian dub)
!!!'''Appearances:''' ''Series/TheWalkingDead'' (Seasons 4, 5 [[note]]Hallucination[[/note]])
!!!'''Debut:''' "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E0130DaysWithoutAnAccident 30 Days Without An Accident]]"

Lizzie is the eldest daughter of Ryan. Her already disturbed mindset is being further twisted by the ZombieApocalypse.
----
* AgeLift: In the comic, Ben and Billy are twins. The show explicitly states that she is Mika's older sister, and Mika herself appears to be the same age as the twins in the comics.
* AmbiguousDisorder: She clearly has some sort of psychosis or delusional disorder. Unfortunately for her and everyone else, ThereAreNoTherapists.
* AntiHero: Even for a ZombieApocalypse, this girl has some twisted morals. But she is arguably trying to do what she thinks is best. And then she ends up JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope.
* BabysitterFromHell: She takes this role out of necessity for Judith since she and Mika are with Judith when they escape the prison attack. Needless to say, [[EnfantTerrible Lizzie]] is not the best candidate for this as she even attempts to kill Judith for crying too much.
* BerserkButton: Killing her zombie playmates. She actually threatens to kill Carol, reduced to screaming and crying over it.
* BigDamnHeroes: She kills Alisha and another of the Governor's soldiers to save Tyreese.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Her morals are a bit off, even for the ZombieApocalypse. Killing people is fine, as they just come back as walkers. Shooting people in the head and killing walkers is murder though, as they don't keep walking around then.
* BoomHeadshot: She does this to Alisha during the third prison attack. Later, she's on the receiving end of this courtesy of Carol, after she and Tyreese agree that Lizzie is too unstable to be around people and a potential threat to Judith.
* CainAndAbel: She murders Mika to bring her back as a walker and prove to Carol and Tyreese that there's nothing wrong with walkers. Somewhat subverted in that there are no animosities between them.
* CanonCharacterAllAlong: She doesn't share a name with any character from the comics. It isn't until her final episode where it's revealed that she's actually the {{Gender Flip}}ped Ben ([[DecompositeCharacter who actually appeared on the show]], [[InNameOnly but has nothing in common with his namesake]]).
* ChildrenForcedToKill: Leads the rest of the children in taking up arms during the prison battle in "Too Far Gone", and personally kills two of the Governor's soldiers.
* CreepyChild: She cares more about walkers than living people, and even her sister calls her "messed up". When Glenn coughs up a large amount of blood and mucus, Lizzie plays with the puddle with her toe. And she was the one who was feeding rats to walkers.
* CuteAndPsycho: Revealed to its full extent in "The Grove". Lizzie was the one who fed rats to the walkers, dissected live rabbits for fun, and believes walkers are just normal people and friendly. She ends up killing Mika so she will turn into a walker, and plans to kill everyone else in her group.
* DeadPersonConversation: She, Mika, and several other dead characters appear to the dying Tyreese to help him move on.
* DecompositeCharacter: While Ben already appeared in the show, she is the one receiving his CharacterDevelopment from the comics since he's an InNameOnly character who [[DeathByAdaptation bit it off way too soon]].
* DissonantSerenity: She acts far too calm around walkers, treating them like normal people.
* DramaticGunCock: It's easy to miss, but she gets silent when she hears Carol's gun, suggesting she knew she was going to die.
* EasilyForgiven: Implied, at least from Tyreese's viewpoint. She's one of "good" hallucinations he saw while he's dying in "What Happened and What's Going On", only The Governor and Martin are "bad" hallucinations in said episode. Downplayed in that much of her behavior is suggested to be the result of psychosis rather than any actual malice.
* EnfantTerrible: Graduates to this in "Too Far Gone", when she guns down two attacking survivors without hesitation or conflicted emotions. Later in "Inmates", she considers smothering Judith when trying to keep her quiet. It blows up in "The Grove" in which she murders Mika and was about to murder Judith, too.
* {{Foil}}:
** She's most closely compared to Mika and by extension Sophia, having lost her innocence despite her similar upbringing and status. Carol tried to teach Lizzie to fend for herself, correcting her mistakes with Sophia, yet fails anyway as Lizzie is mentally ill.
** To Hershel. Both at first believe walkers are just normal people (though Hershel thinks it's a disease) and lose loved ones to it. However Hershel wises up to his mistake and kills walkers to protect his friends and family wheres Lizzie never does and even kills her sister to prove her point.
* GenderFlip: Her comic counterpart Ben is male.
* JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope: Prior to it, she makes some of the most compelling arguments a ZombieAdvocate in this universe can make -- namely that humans also kill, and that being reanimated as ''something'' is arguably better than nothing. Once she's cleared [[EnfantTerrible that slope, however...]]
* LackOfEmpathy: For humans at least. She shows empathy towards the walkers in a creepy way.
* LetThemDieHappy: Subverted. Carol attempts this when she puts down Lizzie, but Lizzie dies distressed and crying, believing that Carol is angry at her.
* LittleMissBadass: She's not even a teenager, but she can pull off headshots from several yards away. She later admits to Carol that this was an accident, since it prevented Alisha from coming back.
* ObliviouslyEvil: Lizzie does terrible things, but believes that she's doing the right thing and everyone else is wrong. Her reaction to killing Mika, which is exactly the same as Ben's reaction to killing Billy in the comic, is especially notable.
-->'''Lizzie:''' Don't worry, she'll come back! [[FateWorseThanDeath I didn't hurt her brain.]]
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* ReplacementGoldfish: She and her sister become ones for Carol in place of Sophia.
* SiblingYinYang: In comparison to her sister, Lizzie is less emotionally strong and is creepily attached to walkers.
* TagalongKid: Is obviously just a kid, and more often than not she's serving this role to Carol.
* TeamKiller: Kills her sister. She would have killed Judith too if Carol and Tyreese hadn't arrived.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Shows signs of this throughout Season 4 before finally being confirmed in "The Grove".
* TookALevelInBadass: In "Too Far Gone", when she finally puts Carol's weapons training to good use.
* TragicMonster: Played with. She goes from sympathizing with the walkers to wanting to become one, and is on the verge of willingly allowing herself to be bitten. Like the walkers she identifies with, she's not actively evil or intentionally malicious... just too dangerous to be allowed to continue living.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Names walkers and mourns their deaths more than humans, plays in gore with her boot, and guns down people. And to top it off, she murders her own sister.
* {{Ubermensch}}: She often squabbles with other characters because of her own set of morality.
* TheUnfettered: If she wants to prove a point, she ''will'' prove it no matter what.
* WalkingSpoiler: Due to her actions in the latter half of Season 4.
* WouldHurtAChild: She nearly smothers Judith in an attempt to keep her quiet, and looks extremely fascinated while doing so. She later kills Mika, and is seconds away from killing Judith before Carol and Tyreese interrupt her.
* ZombieAdvocate: She argues that walkers are not dead, just different. She also argues that humans [[HumansAreBastards kill]], too. In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E02Infected Infected]]", she is more upset that her favorite walker on the fence was killed (calling him special) than about her dad dying. When Carol kills a walker that Lizzie was "playing" with, she accuses her of murdering it. She even seems to prefer them to humans, as she kills her sister and almost kills Judith to make them into walkers to "prove" that they're not so bad to Carol and Tyreese.

Mika is the youngest daughter of Ryan.
----
* CainAndAbel: The Abel to Lizzie's Cain. Somewhat subverted that there are no animosities between them.
* CanonCharacterAllAlong: She doesn't share a name with any character from the comics. It isn't until her final episode where it's revealed that she's actually the {{Gender Flip}}ped Billy.
* TheCassandra: Comes right out and says that her sister is not weak but messed up in their second episode, but neither Carol nor anyone else really gets it until her last appearance.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: She won't even shoot a deer and sympathizes with hostile survivors, noting that they probably weren't like they are now before the ZombieApocalypse. She does shoot at walkers if she needs to, knowing (unlike her sister) that there is nothing human left in them.
* DeadPersonConversation: She, Lizzie, and several other dead characters appear to the dying Tyreese and help him move on.
* TheFettered: Despite Carol's attempts to harden her, she refuses to kill people, even to save herself.
* {{Foil}}: To her sister. Mika is younger, but more rational and knows that walkers are dangerous but refuses to kill Humans because she thinks its murder, in contrast to Lizzie who thinks walkers are just normal people and that killing walkers is murder. That, and Mika doesn't go insane, while Lizzie does.
* GenderFlip: Her comic counterpart, Billy, is male. She suffers the same fate, being gutted by her sibling so she can come back as a walker.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: In stark contrast to her sister.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: She's one of the few characters in the show to actually be a totally good person and refuses to kill because of this.
* KillTheCutie: Lizzie murders her to make a point to Carol. Carol makes sure to stab her head to prevent reanimation.
* NiceGirl: Very sweet and friendly to the group and gets along with Tyreese and Carol very well. She's probably one of the single nicest characters in the show.
* PrecociousCrush: Seemed to have developed one for Patrick, until he became a walker.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* ReplacementGoldfish: She are her sister become ones for Carol in place of Sophia.
* SiblingYinYang: Despite being younger, Mika is much more rational and less creepy than her sister.
* TagalongKid: Tags along with Carol quite often, and is even younger than Carl. She gets better though, see TookALevelInBadass below.
* TechnicalPacifist: Against walkers. Against humans, she is more or less an ActualPacifist.
* ThouShallNotKill: A variation. She has no issues killing walkers, but she believes killing humans is murder. She refuses to hurt people as a result.
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: Like Sophia. Summed up by Carol when she says Mika "doesn't have a mean bone in her body".
* TookALevelInBadass: In "The Grove", in which she finally musters up the courage to shoot walkers dead. Nevertheless, she refuses to shoot people and can't bring herself to shoot a deer.

Ryan is a survivor who joined the prison community with his daughters Lizzie and Mika.
----
* CanonCharacterAllAlong: He doesn't share a name with any character from the comics. It wasn't until his daughters' final episode where it's revealed that they're actually the {{Gender Flip}}ped Ben and Billy, making him the equivalent of Allen ([[DecompositeCharacter who actually appeared on the show]], [[InNameOnly but has nothing in common with his namesake]]), which was supported as he got Allen's death scene in the comics.
* DecompositeCharacter: While Allen is already in the show, Ryan had perhaps Allen's most pivotal scene from the comics: he gets bitten and asks another member of the group to look after his two children when he dies.
* LifeOrLimbDecision: {{Subverted}}: Carol prepares to amputate his left arm after he gets bitten, but then notices a bite on the back of his neck, which seals his fate.
