* AdaptationPersonalityChange: Subtle but profound. In the anime and manga, Jin does offer token resistance to the initial ShipTease between Mio and Basara, by jokingly telling Basara "don't break any laws." In the original light novel, Jin, not Maria, is the first character to suggest the incoming step-sister would be valid fetish material, and Basara is the one who angrily points out the illegality of the idea.
* BigDamnHeroes: At the conclusion of volume 5, Jin foils Nebra's assault on the demon realm.
* CatchAndReturn: While battling Leohart, the two of them bounce their energy attacks at each other.
