* OverprotectiveDad: Every once in a while, it really hits the Professor that ''his three daughters are out laying their lives on the line to fight crime.'' His attempts to assist them, like in "Powerprof" and "Uh Oh Dynamo", usually end up not so good.

* AffablyEvil: in "Forced Kin" they face off against the alien leader, and the girls are only "evil" so they can stop him, which leads them to ally with Mojo Jojo thinking of the best evil ways.

** In "Equal Fights" when the girls allow themselves to be manipulated and influenced by Femme Fatale, The Powerpuff Girls start acting like Jerks to any boy or man for minor things and false reasons, which they consider "Misogynistic", but when Miss Keane, Miss Bellum and three other women but they make them see the error of their views, and that they should not mistrust the males, they begin to feel remorse for their actions.

* PintSizedPowerhouse: They are short, but they can lift a lot more than people twice their height can.

* YouGotSpunk: All three of them face down villains, monsters and what's basically ''Satan'' on a regular basis, and they're five-year-old girls!

* PragmaticHero: They treat villains very violently, even when not directly doing evil plans. Examples are when they beat Rainbow Clown though he had already redeemed himself, or Blossom framing Mojo for a crime she accidentally did.

* UnscrupulousHero: They are very merciless and pragmatic when defeating enemies. They have done some pretty bad things, yet they're still shown as heroic deeds anyway.

* GreenAndMean: A good-side variant. Buttercup is by no means a villain, but she wears green (plus she has green eyes) and is the meanest of the three.

* IAmSong: "Buttercup (I'm a Super Girl)" by Music/ShonenKnife, a fast-paced rock song about how much she loves to fight monsters and save people

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Buttercup may act brash and cold sometimes, but she's still a good-hearted girl who admits her mistakes and she loves her sisters. It's probably not a good idea to harm them.

** Blossom is nonetheless heroic and an altruist, though is very egotistical at times, and in the reboot, is [[TerrifiedOfGerms deathly scared of]] [[SuperOCD anything dirty]].

** Played straight again in "Little Octi Lost" on the 2016 show. In that episode she was willing to flee from fighting Packrat due to her [[SuperOCD hatred of dirt]][[note]]Packrat's lair was at the city dump[[/note]] and leaves her sisters to fight Packrat on her own. Subverted, as thankfully she does eventually help.

** In the reboot, she is scared of going into [[SuperOCD dirty environments]]. Well, dirt in general is a phobia of hers.

* GirlyBruiser: Blossom isn't as girly as Bubbles, but she's into fashion and she kicks ass.

* TheTeam: Blossom is commander and the leader, acting as a headstrong, mastermind type {{Leader}}, a book smart, strategist variety of TheSmartGuy. Bubbles is the 'joy and the laughter' and generally a cutie variant of TheChick. Buttercup is the 'toughest fighter' and is both TheLancer to Blossom's leadership, and TheBigGuy as her designation implies. Between the three of them they hit all the FiveManBand archetypes.

* TheChick: The most feminine of the trio.

* TheHeart: Always strives to keep the peace between her sisters whenever they start fighting.

* NotSoAboveItAll: She's been prone to doing some pretty [[NeverMyFault underhanded]] things.

** Blossom stole golf equipment in "A Very Special Blossom" and [[NeverMyFault was willing to blame it on Mojo Jojo]] [[DirtyCoward if it meant not getting into trouble]].

* CainAndAbel: Age inverted, but the collective Abels to the Rowdy Ruff Boys' Cains, since Mojo causing their accidental creation technically means Mojo is their creator along with Professor Utonium.

* SlapstickKnowsNoGender: All three of them can be put through humiliation, slapstick, or injuries if a plot demands it. "Town and Out" and "Sun Scream" are pretty good examples of this.

* AllLovingHero: Arguably zigzagged at times, but the fact that the girls showed concern for [[VileVillainSaccharineShow Dick Hardly]] after he swallowed a whole bottle of Chemical X and then even after tried to lethally drain them of the rest of their supply of said chemical and enslave their father/creator shows how good-hearted they are even to their most despicable adversaries, to say nothing of those more obviously worthy of their affection.

* AllLovingHero: Arguably zigzagged at times, but the fact that the girls showed concern for [[VileVillainSaccharineShow Dick Hardly]] after he swallowed a whole bottle of Chemical X and then even after tried to lethally drain them of the rest of their supply of said chemical shows how good-hearted they are even to their most despicable adversaries, to say nothing of those more obviously worthy of their affection.
