* DefrostingIceQueen: She initially doesn't trust Steve when he comes to Thymiscira due to believing that the people of the outside world are cruel and savage destroyers, thanks to the gods propaganda, and outright tells him they are not friends and she is only helping him leave because Phillipus told her too. Once she comes to the outside world and see's for herself that it isn't so bad she befriends people there and falls for Steve.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She is stern and ruthless in her teaching methods and won't hesitate to crush her enemies in combat. However she is very honorable, actually teaching Diana the value of mercy and respecting one's enemies and is the one to convince her to help Steve Trevor when he crash lands in Thymiscira acknowledging that he is simply a pawn in the antagonist's plans.

* JerkassRealization: She resented Diana when she was younger because she was a reminder of the reason Hippolyta betrayed them once centuries ago and feared that as a mortal her eventual death would cause Hippolyta to DieOfGrief. After becoming Diana's teacher she lets go of this and realizes it was wrong of her to vent her fears and bitterness of the past on a child.

* AdaptationDyeJob: This version is an EvilReadhead, while the original was blonde.

* TheHero:

* ThouShaltNotKill: She understands that soldiers kill but she herself does not and will not even in the middle of a battle. It helps that the Duke of Deception's zombies give up the ghost upon being lassoed with the lasso of truth as whatever is animating them cannot stand the truth of their situation, which she does not see as killing them as they are not alive. [[spoiler: While she does "kill" the Titan it is another being animated and run by spirits that are no longer housed in their original bodies and that have been twisted by being congealed together and "living" for so long]].
** Averted when she was younger, she had to be taught the value of mercy to her enemies by Phillipus. She was willing to kill a mare of diomedes since they have been known to eat people considering the world "better off" without it. But after Phillipus shows her that the mare is a mother and teaches her the value of respecitng ones enemies she becomes this later on.

* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: DC's Antiope usually seperated from the Amazons and married Theseus and died in antiquity, this one never left, Hippolyta is the one that had a romance with Theseus, and she is still around and a part of the Themysciran council.

* RedEyesTakeWarning: Her eyes are naturaly brown, but when she's taping into her Ares' given powers and about to do something incredibly dangerous her eyes glow red.

Singer, seamstress, leader and all around upbeat gal Etta Candy is the lead singer of the "Holiday Girls" and in a leadership position of the Beeta Lamda sorority.

* TheFashionista: She's fashion conscious, designs her own clothes and even gets an interview with the editor of a fashion magazine.

* OppositesAttract: Etta is boisterous, outspoken, hot tempered and impulsive while Lawrence is mellow, soft spoken, slow tempered and premeditative.

* AmbiguouslyBrown: She's lighter skinned than the known African American characters like Lita and Lawrence and her ethnic background is unknown and not something her friends are worried about.

* AcePilot:

One of the Tuskeegee Airmen Lawrence is an excellent pilot and becomes a friend of Steve Trevor's while Trevor is essentially grounded due to his celebrity status after returning from what was thought to be a watery grave. He's good natured and easy to get along with though generally quite serious.

* RichBitch: Priscilla Rich is a wealthy socialite who has willingly allied herself with the Nazis and thinks hesitating to kill hundreds with an explosion is ridiculous.

* DemotedToExtra: In Greg Rucka's version of the Amazon's origin, the one which this version of the Amazons borrows most heavily from, Artemis was one of the four goddesses who granted the Amazons their protected island home, powers and helped create the Amazons using the souls of woman in Hades. Here all that was supposedly done by Zeus and Artemis just gets mentions as one of the gods which some Amazons are directed to dedicate their lives to and is essentially a living prop in scenes of the Olympians.

* DemotedToExtra: In Greg Rucka's version of the Amazon's origin, the one which this version of the Amazons borrows most heavily from, Demter was one of the four goddesses who granted the Amazons their protected island home, powers and helped create the Amazons using the souls of woman in Hades. Here all that was supposedly done by Zeus and Demeter just gets mentions as one of the gods which some Amazons are directed to dedicate their lives to.
* GodsNeedPrayerBadly: Her reach has been limited to Themyscira where the mortals are essentially commanded to worship and dedicate themselves to the Olympians since the outside world no longer worships the pantheon.

* BandGeek: A grown up version on the cusp of adulthood and independence. Glamora is a responsible young woman who plays multiple instruments, tries to stand back from new social situations and remain safely surrounded by friends for them and really loves making music.

* BandGeek: Two flavors, with the more timid socially awkward book smart Milly and the outgoing but weird Tilly.
