* CloningBlues: [[spoiler: She, like Usagi, needs a Star Seed to survive, but there's only one. Tanizaki forces her to pull it out of Sailor Moon.]]

* BeyondTheImpossible: During the timeskip, Ryouga used a ForbiddenTechnique to destroy armor that was completely unbreakable through any other method (and explicitly believed to be unbreakable ''period''), and one-shotting the wearer who had been effectively invincible up to that point. [[spoiler:He repeats this feat against the unkillable Wyrmspawn.]]

* MultiformBalance: The general premise behind Tanizaki's 'Five Fist Style'. Part of his combat strategy is to wait until his opponents acclimate to his current style and then suddenly switch to a new one. His styles include:

* SunkCostFallacy: Quite possibly Tanizaki's FatalFlaw in that he stubbornly refuses to KnowWhenToFoldEm, even when his plans are actively crumbling into ruin. He keeps trying increasingly extreme and desperate ploys, including [[spoiler:releasing the Wyrmspawn and nearly engineering the release of The Nameless one, a monster with AntiMagic traits that he believes unkillable and an OmnicidalManiac EldritchAbomination, respectively,]] just because he believes that, once Unit Zero gets full control of the Silver Crystal, she can use its RealityWarper powers to remake the world so that none of that is an issue and his power will be absolute and unchallenged. [[spoiler:In the end, Sailor Moon splitting the crystal to TakeAThirdOption and save both Unit Zero and herself renders his plans AllForNothing before his SoulJar is destroyed and Ranma kills him, while he could have survived if he had walked away at any point prior to the last one]].

* AscendedExtra: In canon, they appear only as the Senshi are heading to the final confrontation with Queen Beryl. Here they are major characters, particularly Modra [[spoiler:who takes over the Black Section after the Darkmistress' death, and is ascribed quite a bit of cunning, even going so far as to set up Jadeite's final defeat]].
* BatmanGambit: Modra sets one up after the Darkmistress dies. [[spoiler:After taking over the Black Section, she drops some information on some hapless youma who's infatuated with Jadeite, who then goes off and manages to get herself killed, which puts Jadeite in even more hot water, leading to his final defeat at the hands of the Senshi]].

* DramaticIrony: Cologne initially not knowing who the Sailor Senshi were was comforted by the fact that while they didn’t have the Moon Kingdom they did have brave souls like the Senshi.

* BadPowersGoodPeople: Ryouga called her "a nice kid".

* IHaveYourWife: [[spoiler: Her father is held hostage by Davidson and his men to be used as leverage against her]].

* HumanSacrifice: Ones of the requirements for its rituals, most notably the one designed to release it from its prison, which requires an innocent victim untainted by its corruption. It settles on a nine-year-old girl. [[spoiler: The ritual fails, forcing it to use Ekim instead at the cost of reduced power.]]

* KarmaHoudini: Beneda was the only one who nearly caught on to what he was pulling, but doesn't have enough proof for it. In ''Ascendant'', he isn't mentioned at all and no one ever finds out that he was the one who lured the Senshi to Nerima in the first place.

* NightmareWeaver: Her specialty, in comparison to Helios.

* BoisterousWeakling: She started out as this a low level Youma who couldn’t even assume human form, yet still taunted the Senshi when first confronted by them despite being scared to death.

* FuumaShuriken: Can form these on her hands. Prior to the Interlude these were her only real weapons.

* AnArmAndALeg: [[spoiler:She loses an arm, courtesy of the Wyrmspawn]]. As she's the Senshi's resident PluckyGirl, however, the idea of getting some combat training with Mousse is enough to snap her out of it.

* WhipItGood: This is the Keeper’s mode of attack.

* KnifeNut: Her Youma ability is to form giant shuriken on her hands...
** MundaneUtility: ...which prove to be very handy for helping Kasumi chop vegetables.
