\n* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Generally, pretty much all gods in the setting are in a way comparable - whether they're good or malevolent, divine or fallen (i.e. demonic), alive or dead, worshipped by humans or by non-humans, cooperative or bent on monopolizing power, all of them fit neatly into a standard fantasy belief system that is inspired by one or more of the polytheistic pantheons we know from our Earth's history; and even those cults who revere a single deity still fit into this arrangements. Rastullah however is the only deity to whom this doesn't apply: he was designed in the earliest stages of the game to fit into an ArabianNights-inspired setting, but instead of coming up with a more original cult that wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb, the nomadic desert dwellers got a faith that was basically Islam with the serial numbers filed off (individual differences like them being allowed to drink wine and following zoroasthrian funeral rites didn't change the overall character of the religion).
* {{Expy}}: Of the Muslim ''Allah''.
* GodIsImpotent: Rashtul was one of the first titans to fall in the prehistoric WarInHeaven, but unlike most other victims of that conflict, he didn't die permanently, nor did he turn into a demon. However, he was put to a supernatural sleep that lasted for the next 10ish ages, and only recently awoke, still depowered, mostly forgotten and without followers. Unlike the other gods, there is preciously little he can do, though - he can't ordain priests, he can't send miracles, and he also doesn't have divine artifacts for his followers. The only thing he could do was sending his own champion to the mortals once (3000 years ago), but other than that, all he can offer (...so far) is faith and inspiration.
* GodsNeedPrayerBadly: While the importance of mortal worship is never exactly specified, it is implied that having lots of followers facilitates returning to the "inner circle of heaven" during the next age, so to speak. For Rashtul, who is completely bereft of what constitues a deity, this is one hell of an incentive.

* MagnificientBastard: Hasrabal as a character is ''really'' old - one of the oldest antagonists of the setting, dating back to one of the first modules from 1984. However, unlike all other major villains, he never got his comeuppance, but instead (and despite his setback) managed to actually grow in power (both as a wizard as well as a ruler) over the decades. That he isn't that vile and more a power-hungry egomaniac than a full blown kitten-eating villain probably helps.

* FallenAngel: According to scrapes of lore found around the world, she fell while trying to take away Agrimoths dominion over the element of water. She did succeed somewhat...
** With the Historica Aventurica, this has been set straight: Charypta has been the Goddess of the Ocean and its creatures consecutively until the Ninth Age (i.e. for most of the time), which makes her the only Deity to persistantly enjoy a tenure in Alveran. At the height of her power during the Ninth Age (the age of the maritime races), however, she overextended herself, which made the other gods rally against her, driving her into the Netherhells. This also explains why plenty of maritime creatures and scaled or maritime humanoids still have an unhealthy bond with her.
