The main members of the Sky People are Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Murphy, Monty, Jasper, and formerly Wells and Finn from the 100, later joined by Raven in season 1. Abby, Jaha, and Kane were the main members of the Ark before arriving on Earth, Abby and Kane at the end of season 1 and Jaha in the beginning of season 2. Clarke and Bellamy serve as the leaders of the 100 and Abby and Kane as the leaders of the Sky People as a whole though arguably Clarke is the main leader of the Sky People in season 2 and 3 onward.

* RememberTheNewGuy: Bellamy apparently knew her on the Ark. She was never mentioned before her relationship with Bellamy, though the reason for this could be that she barely arrived when the Ark crashed on Earth and that the survivors where spread out in different locations so she probably wasn't around during the events of season 2 or she was just in the background and Bellamy was also in Mount Weather most of season 2 so he probably didn't run into her until after.

* BadassGay: He is one of the more capable members of the 100, and during the Grounders assault on the dropship he kept fighting even after taking a spear to his right shoulder. He even takes down Anya in one hit.

* BadassGay: Along with the other Farm Station survivors he was able to hold off the Ice Nation. Some what a subversion because the Ice Nation conflict took place off-screen and though it is shown that he knows how to use a gun he spends most of season 3 being on the side line and Miller is mostly shown protecting him when he gets injured later on so he hasn't gotten a truly badass moment on-screen yet.

Later his pragmatism and his distrust for Grounders is what turns him into villain when he massacres a Trikru army out of the belief that they were planning to attack and even if they weren't planning to that war with the grounders would inevitably start again because of the previous actions of the Ice Nation and that they should strike first to send a message to the other Grounders that they are prepared to defend themselves and won't go down without a fight but in the process almost starting the war that instead could have got him and his people wiped out despite his intention.

Cleanup — fixing example indentation, trimming run-on sentences, correcting grammar, removing theories, fan reaction, and justifying edits. Since Pike's only flashback appearance as a teacher is in the same episode where he's shown beating up Murphy, I don't think Cool Teacher even applies as a subversion. This is not Dramatic Irony, which is when the audience knows something the characters don't. Removing Easily Forgiven since it's an aversion, which are generally not listed unless notable. Alternative Character Interpretation is YMMV and should be listed there.

* AbortedArc: Talley was fired after making horrifically racist statements on Twitter, so Season 3 opens with Raven having broken up with him offscreen, never to be mentioned again.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: According to Sinclair, he's goofy and likes to poke fun but comes up with brilliant ideas.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He gets one mention in Season 3 before never being mentioned again.
* TheEngineer: Works with the Ark's technology. Keeps this up when they land on the ground.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: In "Human Trials" he briefly shuts off the power to the electric fence around Camp Jaha so that Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia could sneak out to find Finn and Murphy.
* SecondLove: He's heavily implied to have it bad for Raven, as shown when he specifically asks her to work with him on a radio beacon. He even designed a brace for her leg. They slowly grow closer in the latter half of season 2.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He is not shown in season 3 and is only mentioned to have broken up with Raven before the start of the season. This is because of his actor getting fired but it is unknown whether or not he lives or dies during the events of the season.
** FridgeLogic: It is possible that he died in the Mount Weather explosion or he was one of the people killed during A.L.I.E's recruitment as she ended up killing whoever refused to take the chip as maybe not all of the Arkadians took it voluntarily.

Leader of the Farm Station survivors formerly was the Earth Skills teacher on the Ark.
Alessandro Juliani

A high-ranking engineer.

* AntiVillain: As stated in WellIntentionedExtremist below, his goal is to protect his people from more attacks by the Grounders. But his actions in doing so could have gotten everybody wiped out and his actions even turn him against some of his own people who want to stop his plans.
* BadassTeacher: His knowledge in Earth Skills the subject he taught students on the Ark allowed him to adjust to the ground quickly and made him leader of the Farm Station survivors. He was also able to lead his people and helped them to successfully defend themselves from the Ice Nation grounders for months. He is also shown to be a capable fighter in the last episodes of the season.
* BlackAndWhiteInsanity: He believes that all Grounders are the enemy and refuses to accept peace with them.
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: In late Season 3, Indra spares his life because Murphy points out to her that they'll need him in the fight against A.L.I.E. and Indra later also invokes that they need him on her former second Octavia who has a harder time with it because of him killing [[spoiler:Lincoln and even makes an attempt on his life when their supposed to be fighting together to prevent the chipped people from entering from the balcony, though she is later able to work with him but of course she [[YouHaveOutLivedYourUsefulness kills him the moment A.L.I.E is defeated and he is no longer of use alive]].]] Otherwise besides Indra and Octavia none of the other characters are shown to have a desire to kill him.
** An earlier example in season 3 is when [[spoiler:Bellamy sets him up to be captured and Octavia is stopped from killing him by Kane who points out that the Grounders have to be the ones to kill him with their brand of justice so that the Sky People can renew peace with them because he assumes that they will not tolerate him being killed by Skaikru since they have already denied them their justice before when Clarke mercy killed Finn]].
* CharacterDeath: [[spoiler:Killed by Octavia as revenge for killing Lincoln.]]
* CoolTeacher: At least back on the Ark. His Earth Skills lessons definitely came in handy and he has stated a couple of times that Clarke was one of his best students. [[spoiler: He was tasked to teach the 100 those lessons to prepare them before they were sent to the ground.]]
** [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]:[[spoiler:He was quite stern with the 100 because they were being uncooperative in class and then he starts beating up Murphy in their last day of class before they were sent to Earth.]] [[JustifiedTrope Justified]]:[[spoiler:He only had a few days to teach them how to survive on the ground and he couldn't tell them they were going to be sent to the ground and he wasn't allowed to go with them. He beats up Murphy to make the students fight back in an last attempt to teach them how to survive, even then Murphy was the student who was being the most uncooperative as he was being a class clown and constantly interrupting Pike. So in a way he was giving Murphy a hard lesson in survival by beating him up.]]
* CruelToBeKind: [[spoiler:In flashbacks, he beats up Murphy in front of the rest of the class to get them to fight back because it was the last day he could teach them anything before they are sent to the ground and he needed to see if they have what it takes to survive. He also brings up Murphy's parents and how they died to provoke Murphy to fight him and he was also beating up Murphy as he was the one student who was really not paying attention in class and was the reason the other students weren't either.]]
* DiscOneFinalBoss: His actions nearly get Arkadia wiped out, until he's turned over to the Grounders. Afterward, A.L.I.E. takes over as the main villain.
* DidNotThinkThisThrough: The problem with his plan to fight a war with the grounders is that even though the sky people have guns and other advanced weaponry and the grounders don't use guns, the grounders still greatly outnumber the sky people and they are all warriors trained since birth while most of the sky people have only recently learned too use guns and fight and they really don't have a lot of ammo to kill every single grounder.
** Another problem that was brought up is that being at war with the grounders will make it harder for the Sky People to gather food since they are confined to only one area of the land to defend themselves which is why Pike makes the decision to attack the nearby grounder village to farm the land to grow food so that the people of Arkadia don't end up starving when their food supply runs out as most of their food supply was lost in the Mount Weather attack.
* DoUntoOthersBeforeTheyDoUntoUs: His rationalization for the massacre was to attack them before they could attack Arkadia and he generally saw the Grounder/Sky People conflict starting again as inevitable and wanted his people to be the ones who strike first.
* DramaticIrony: The first one is ending up in the same cell as Murphy who he beat up in class in the flashbacks and Indra who was the only one he spared in the massacre. The second one is when [[spoiler:Octavia is the one who kills him]] when the flashbacks reveal that she was the one student who was paying attention in class.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He is introduced along with Farm Station disguised as Grounders and along with his people they cheer when they hear that bellamy and the others killed some Ice Nation scouts earlier and they call them "Grounder killers" as a compliment and he also refuses to shake Indra's hand when Kane introduces her to him and tells him that she is an ally and Pike responds with a "well I guess I'll have to take your word for it" remark to Kane about it.
* {{Expy}}: InUniverse To Bellamy because just like Bellamy in season 1, Pike had to become a leader and defend his people from Grounder attacks. They both also believed that ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption in dealing with the Grounders.
** Also his view on Grounders is similar to some of today's people and politicians' views on terrorists and individuals who have the same religion and/or come from the same country as them. He also has similarities to real life dictators like for example Hitler and his view on Jews.
* EasilyForgiven: Averted. [[spoiler:After the A.L.I.E. situation blows over and after he [[EnemyMine teamed up with Indra, Murphy, Octavia, and Clarke]] and even saves Octavia's life during the final fight, Octavia still kills him at the end of the season finale for killing Lincoln.]]
* EnemyMine: Indra and Murphy team up with him to [[spoiler: take on A.L.I.E.]]. Later is teamed up with Octavia who wants to kill him for [[spoiler:killing Lincoln]]. Even then working with Indra is this for him because of his feelings towards grounders.
* FantasticRacism: [[JustifiedTrope His experiences with the Ice Nation and also the fact the only thing he knows about the Trikru and the other grounders is that they were attacking The 100 and that the Sky People were at war with them the last time him and his people had contact with the other Ark members]] have left him distrustful of ''all'' Grounders, and he refuses to believe that there can ever be peace between them and his people despite what Kane, Clarke and some of the others think.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Pike is shown on a couple of occasions to not be afraid to die [[spoiler:first example being when he refuses to take A.L.I.E's chip and while he is being dragged to the cell he tells them that if their going to kill him get it over with.]]
** [[spoiler:He doesn't beg for his life when Indra starts killing him with the [[DeathOfAThousandCuts traditional Grounder execution and even tells her to get on with it]]. {{Subverted}} When Murphy convinces her to spare his life.]]
** [[spoiler:Possibly Played Straight [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation with his death scene which could be seen as him letting Octavia kill him because of him approaching Octavia after A.L.I.E is defeated and the head nod he gives her before he is stabbed.]]]]
* {{Foil}}: To Kane because his attitude towards grounders counters Kane's desire to make peace with them. Also his devotion to his plan is also similar to when Kane wanted to kill 300 people on the Ark to save air and life support in season 1.
* GetItOverWith: Tells A.L.I.E's people to go ahead and kill him in his refusal to ever take the chip and as stated says this to Indra when she is torturing him.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Fighting the Ice Nation has made him [[FantasticRacism hate and distrust all Grounders]] which leads him to unnecessarily massacre the Grounder army sent to protect Arkadia because he thought that they were planning to attack.
* HeelFaceDoorSlam:[[spoiler:Even though he still justifies massacring the Trikru army he never betrays anyone and he fights bravely during his alliance with the others to fight A.L.I.E. He also saves Octavia's life during the final fight despite the fact she tried to kill him earlier and he stops Jaha from getting to Clarke and he was basically on a path of redemption. But Octavia kills him after he approaches her after it's confirmed that A.L.I.E is defeated as she still wanted to kill him for what he did to Lincoln.]]
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: [[spoiler:He sees the massacre of the Tree People Grounder army sent to protect Arkadia as attacking them before they could attack Arkadia and he wanted to strike first to show strength against the Grounders. He also decides to attack a village after because he wanted to farm the land for food as most of Arkadia's food supply was lost in the Mount Weather attack. It is shown that he still has this belief in the season 3 finale.]]
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler: Octavia stabs him with her sword]].
* RememberTheNewGuy: He was apparently important on the Ark but he was not mentioned by name or introduced until season 3, but apparently he may have been talked about among the 100 in the past seasons when they talked about Earth Skills class.
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler: As said in PetTheDog below he is respectful to Lincoln but that doesn't stop him from pulling the trigger and killing him is this trope because all though you can arguably understand his reasons for the massacre he had no good reason to kill Lincoln and he just did it to punish him for the others escaping.]]
** Of course the massacre is also this trope because of the whole idea that he along with the others not only killed everyone in their sleep but also killed the wounded and the fact that there were children apart of the army.
* MadeOfIron: In the last episodes of season 3 he is able to fight and do other things despite being cut up on his chest by [[spoiler:Indra]], getting injured in his side and it looked like it could become fatal later on, and [[spoiler:Octavia cutting him in the leg in an attempt to get him killed.]]
* PetTheDog: Before executing [[spoiler:Lincoln]], Pike tells him that while he won't let his people go he will make sure they are properly taken care of and he speaks respectfully to him. It is also shown by the look on his face that he doesn't enjoy what he is doing.
** [[spoiler:He tells Murphy that his father would be proud of him, which in a way seems to be his way of apologizing for the things he said about his parents when he was provoking Murphy to fight him when they were in the classroom on the Ark.]]
** His teamwork with the others during their alliance to take on A.L.I.E is this and [[spoiler:his saving Octavia's life during the final fight.]]
** In general his flashback story where it is shown that he cared for his students and was willing to go with the 100 to the ground despite the fact that at the time the possibility that the earth's radiation could still be fatal.
* PragmaticHero/ PragmaticVillain: When he is first introduced he is shown to be pragmatic in fighting the Ice Nation and protecting his people. He also had a reasonable distrust for the Grounders in general because of this and that the last time he and his people had contact with the others they were at war with the Trikru who are now their allies.
** Though he later helps the others to [[spoiler:fight A.L.I.E.]] because she was a problem for everybody and he was even able to once again set aside his distrust for grounders to work with Indra.
* TheLeader: He was the leader of the farm station survivors and became the leader of Arkadia when he was elected chancellor.
* RevengeBeforeReason: His [[JustifiedTrope justified hatred of the Ice Nation]] and because of an attack by them on Mount Weather that killed several of his people leads to him rejecting the membership in the Coalition and for all intends and purposes starting a war that the Sky People cannot possibly win when he massacres a Tikru army who were sent by Lexa to protect Arkadia after the attack.
* RevengeByProxy: Goes after the Trikru just for being grounders like the Ice Nation who killed several of his people.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: [[spoiler: Becomes the new Chancellor in "Watch the Throne" and proceeds to launch a war with the Grounders. He will also imprison, and if he must execute, those who help Grounders, or even refuse to accept his leadership or his rules.]]
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: His decisions led to [[spoiler:A.L.I.E taking over Arkadia as he was the one who allowed Jaha to stay there and he didn't pay attention to what he was doing as he was busy dealing with the other stuff and he is also unintentionally responsible for Lexa's death as she was refusing to wipe out the Sky People in response to his actions because of advice from Clarke and it lead to Titus accidentally killing her as he was trying to kill Clarke in an attempt to convince her to do so.]]
* VillainHasAPoint: The massacre of the Trikru army would have been the right decision if Nia successfully became commander as she would of had them attack. There is also when [[spoiler:Ontari became commander after Lexa's death]] and in the finale he points out to Bellamy that if the army was still there when she died they would have attacked. Main point being that the Grounders always obey the Commander [[MyCountryRightOrWrong even if they disagree with them]] so yes they could have attacked Arkadia and you could also factor in when [[spoiler:A.L.I.E took over Polis through Ontari and she could have had an extra army behind her.]]
** He also has some valid points in his distrust of Grounders when it is considered that their truce with the Sky People was a very fragile one with the Sky People having to be cautious with all their decisions under the threat that they could be wiped out if they make the wrong one and the Grounders' culture and traditions sometimes making it hard to reason with them. This makes it possible that even despite Pike's actions there never truly would have been peace in the long run.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: The motivation for his actions is to prevent any more attacks on his people by Grounders but his distrust of Grounders is almost irrational and his actions almost start a war that the Sky People cannot win.

to:

* AntiVillain: As stated in WellIntentionedExtremist below, his goal is to protect his people from more attacks by the Grounders. But his actions in doing so could have gotten everybody wiped out and his actions even turn him against some of his own people who want to stop his plans.

the only one he spared in the massacre.
* {{Expy}}: InUniverse To Bellamy because just like Bellamy in season 1, Pike had to become a
major leader and defend his people from Grounder attacks.
Also his devotion to his plan is also similar to when Kane wanted to kill 300 people
on the Ark to save air who stays out of the power struggles and life support in season 1.
* GetItOverWith: Tells A.L.I.E's people
simply tries to go ahead do his job.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Easily the most reasonable
and kill him in his refusal to ever take friendly leader on the chip Ark, and as stated says this to Indra when he even cleared Raven for spacewalks after she is torturing him.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Fighting the Ice Nation has made him [[FantasticRacism hate and distrust all Grounders]] which leads him
was initially denied permission due to unnecessarily massacre the Grounder army sent to protect Arkadia a minor heart condition because he thought that they were planning to attack.
recognized her talents.
* HeelFaceDoorSlam:[[spoiler:Even though he still justifies massacring TheSmartGuy: Of the Trikru army he never betrays anyone and he fights bravely during his alliance with the others to fight A.L.I.E.
* MadeOfIron: In the last episodes of season 3 he is able to fight and do other things despite
Ark's leadership, being cut up on his chest by [[spoiler:Indra]], getting injured in his side charge of running simulations and it looked like it could become fatal later on, and [[spoiler:Octavia cutting him in running the leg in an attempt to get him killed.]]

* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Was closer to this trope in season one, when she could often be seen standing in the background with her arms crossed and looking irritated, but less so in later episodes.
* AnimalMotif: She's one of a handful of characters from the Ark named after an animal that can be found on the ground. (Or could have, prior to nuclear annihilation.)
* DamselInDistress: She is captured by the Mountain Men when they attempt to raid the 47 after they hold up on Level 5, but is rescued by Bellamy before they can begin extracting bone marrow from her. However, she ends up dead anyway.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath:She and the other unnamed delinquents that were harvested for bone marrow.
* ForgottenFallenFriend: Jasper was extremely broken up and angry over her being taken in Resurrection, but he never questions about her welfare after learning Bellamy saves her; or even comments on her real death to the point of where you have to wonder if he's even aware of it. Surely he would have mentioned her death when he was chipped by A.L.I.E and listing off the killed delinquents, and yet he never did.
* IdiotBall: One wonders why Bellamy didn't just smuggle her outside of Mount Weather and back to Arkadia after he saved her from bone marrow harvesting, surely that would have been a safer bet than hiding her with Maya.
* IllGirl: She is among the first members of the 100 who catch the virus that Murphy was infected with by the Grounders, although she survives the illness.
* MauveShirt: Has a name and more lines than most background delinquents, but was never able to rise beyond minor character status, unlike characters such as Harper and Miller, due to her death in the finale of season 2.
* NotQuiteSavedEnough: Earlier in the season, Bellamy saves her from bone marrow harvesting, not once, but TWICE; come the finale and she has the same fate she'd been spared of just a few episodes prior.
* NominalImportance: She's a minor character with a handful of appearances, but unlike most of the background delinquents seen, she actually has a name and a small effect on Jasper's storyline during the Mount Weather arc.
* RecurringExtra: She has been around since the pilot but has only had a handful of lines and her name is not even said onscreen until her eighth appearance.
* ScreamingWoman: When she's captured by the Mountain Men. This trend continues into the flashback in Join or Die where she's the first to run to the door and scream for help when Pike begins to beat on Murphy.

* TemporaryLoveInterest: For Bellamy. She was one of two girls seen sleeping in his tent, and he was the hardest hit by her death, noting that she had only gone looking for Octavia because of him.
* ThisIsForEmphasisBitch: '''Roma:''' Ever hear of knocking, ''bitch?''

* BiTheWay: Possibly, as it was implied she had a threesome BadassGay: Along with the other Farm Station survivors he was able to hold off the Ice Nation. Some what a subversion because the Ice Nation conflict took place off-screen and though it is shown that he knows how to use a gun he spends most of season 3 being on the side line and Miller is mostly shown protecting him when he gets injured later on so he hasn't gotten a truly badass moment on-screen yet.
* ConflictingLoyalty: His loyalty to Farm Station and Pike begins to come between his loyalty to Miller.
* DesignatedLoveInterest: It seems he was introduced as Miller's boyfriend just to prove to the audience that Miller's gay.
* HeelRealization: After betraying Miller's trust by planting a bug on him, he begins to wonder if what he, Monty and
Bellamy and another girl.
are doing is really right.
* BloodFromTheMouth: LoveInterestTraitor: When she's speared by he plants the grounders.

* DeadpanSnarker: Of the few lines she's had, most of them qualify as this.
* DeathGlare: On occasion.
* DeathWail: Does
RememberTheNewGuy: Miller never mentioned having a boyfriend before Bryan's introduction in Season 3, although this after coming face to face with Diggs freshly impaled body.
* DiesWideOpen: Bellamy shuts them.
* FullyClothedNudity: Acts like this when Clarke and Finn walk in on her.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: She is killed when a Grounder hurls a spear which impales her to a tree.
* ScreamingWoman: Once the grounders started chasing them she becomes very panicked.
* SkewedPriorities: When Raven's drop pod is seen coming down, Roma hopes that the Arc is sending them shampoo instead of something actually useful for survival.

may be because of him.
Miller himself is TheQuietOne.
* ThisIsForEmphasisBitch: '''Roma:''' Ever hear of knocking, ''bitch?''RevengeBeforeReason: Participates in Pike's Anti-Grounder movement.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: His character is based around being Miller's boyfriend. Though this is subverted with his loyalty to Pike which ends up causing him to plant a bug on Miller under his orders and Miller and Bryan end up having an argument about it when Miller finds out and tells him that if he going to be on Pike's side then they can't be in a relationship anymore.
* StraightGay: Like his boyfriend Miller he doesn't have any stereotypical gay mannerisms.

One
Michael Beach

Leader
of the youngest delinquents. Her parents were killed Farm Station survivors formerly was the Earth Skills teacher on Jaha's orders.the Ark.

* ApologeticAttacker: Charlotte apologizes before stabbing Wells and, as he dies, tearfully explains that she has to "slay her demons" to stop her nightmares of his father having her parents executed.
* BadDreams: Frequently had nightmares of Jaha killing her parents.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Zig-zagged. She murders Wells in cold blood but seems to have very little understanding of the consequences of what she has done.
* DrivenToSuicide: Eventually jumps off a cliff due to the guilt caused by her murder of Wells and the uproar this causes in the camp.
* MoralityPet: One of the few people Bellamy shows a softer side to early on; he gives her advice on moving past her trauma. It...doesn't quite work. Even after she admits to killing Wells, he still attempts to protect her.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Saw murdering Wells as a legitimate way to get over her parents' deaths. She does eventually feel bad about it.

to:

* ApologeticAttacker: Charlotte apologizes AntiVillain: As stated in WellIntentionedExtremist below, his goal is to protect his people from more attacks by the Grounders.
** An earlier example in season 3 is when [[spoiler:Bellamy sets him up to be captured and Octavia is stopped from killing him by Kane who points out that the Grounders have to be the ones to kill him with their brand of justice so that the Sky People can renew peace with them because he assumes that they will not tolerate him being killed by Skaikru since they have already denied them their justice
before stabbing Wells and, when Clarke mercy killed Finn]].
He beats up Murphy to make the students fight back in an last attempt to teach them how to survive, even then Murphy was the student who was being the most uncooperative
as he dies, tearfully explains was being a class clown and constantly interrupting Pike.
The second one is when [[spoiler:Octavia is the one who kills him]] when the flashbacks reveal
that she was the one student who was paying attention in class.
He also
has similarities to "slay her demons" to stop her nightmares of real life dictators like for example Hitler and his father having her parents executed.
view on Jews.
* BadDreams: Frequently had nightmares EasilyForgiven: Averted. [[spoiler:After the A.L.I.E. situation blows over and after he [[EnemyMine teamed up with Indra, Murphy, Octavia, and Clarke]] and even saves Octavia's life during the final fight, Octavia still kills him at the end of Jaha the season finale for killing her parents.
Lincoln.]]
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Zig-zagged. She murders Wells in cold blood but seems EnemyMine: Indra and Murphy team up with him to have very little understanding [[spoiler: take on A.L.I.E.]]. Later is teamed up with Octavia who wants to kill him for [[spoiler:killing Lincoln]]. Even then working with Indra is this for him because of his feelings towards grounders.
* FantasticRacism: [[JustifiedTrope His experiences with
the consequences of what she has done.
* DrivenToSuicide: Eventually jumps off a cliff due to
Ice Nation and also the guilt caused by her murder of Wells fact the only thing he knows about the Trikru and the uproar this causes in other grounders is that they were attacking The 100 and that the camp.
* MoralityPet: One
Sky People were at war with them the last time him and his people had contact with the other Ark members]] have left him distrustful of ''all'' Grounders, and he refuses to believe that there can ever be peace between them and his people despite what Kane, Clarke and some of the few people Bellamy shows others think.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Pike is shown on
a softer side couple of occasions to early on; not be afraid to die [[spoiler:first example being when he refuses to take A.L.I.E's chip and while he is being dragged to the cell he tells them that if their going to kill him get it over with.]]
** [[spoiler:He doesn't beg for his life when Indra starts killing him with the [[DeathOfAThousandCuts traditional Grounder execution and even tells her to get on with it]]. {{Subverted}} When Murphy convinces her to spare his life.]]
** [[spoiler:Possibly Played Straight [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation with his death scene which could be seen as him letting Octavia kill him because of him approaching Octavia after A.L.I.E is defeated and the head nod
he gives her advice before he is stabbed.]]]]
* {{Foil}}: To Kane because his attitude towards grounders counters Kane's desire to make peace with them. Also his devotion to his plan is also similar to when Kane wanted to kill 300 people
on moving the Ark to save air and life support in season 1.
* RememberTheNewGuy: He was apparently important on the Ark but he was not mentioned by name or introduced until season 3, but apparently he may have been talked about among the 100 in the
past her trauma. It...seasons when they talked about Earth Skills class.
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler: As said in PetTheDog below he is respectful to Lincoln but that
doesn't quite work. Even after she admits to stop him from pulling the trigger and killing Wells, him is this trope because all though you can arguably understand his reasons for the massacre he had no good reason to kill Lincoln and he just did it to punish him for the others escaping.]]
** In general his flashback story where it is shown that he cared for his students and was willing to go with the 100 to the ground despite the fact that at the time the possibility that the earth's radiation could
still attempts be fatal.
* RevengeBeforeReason: His [[JustifiedTrope justified hatred of the Ice Nation]] and because of an attack by them on Mount Weather that killed several of his people leads to him rejecting the membership in the Coalition and for all intends and purposes starting a war that the Sky People cannot possibly win when he massacres a Tikru army who were sent by Lexa
to protect her.
Arkadia after the attack.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Saw murdering Wells as a legitimate way RevengeByProxy: Goes after the Trikru just for being grounders like the Ice Nation who killed several of his people.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: [[spoiler: Becomes the new Chancellor in "Watch the Throne" and proceeds
to get launch a war with the Grounders. He will also imprison, and if he must execute, those who help Grounders, or even refuse to accept his leadership or his rules.]]
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: His decisions led to [[spoiler:A.L.I.E taking
over Arkadia as he was the one who allowed Jaha to stay there and he didn't pay attention to what he was doing as he was busy dealing with the other stuff and he is also unintentionally responsible for Lexa's death as she was refusing to wipe out the Sky People in response to his actions because of advice from Clarke and it lead to Titus accidentally killing her parents' deaths. She does eventually feel bad about it.as he was trying to kill Clarke in an attempt to convince her to do so.]]

* FantasticRacism: Much like Pike, she ''despises'' Grounders. Unlike Pike, she goes as far to throw not-so-subtle insults at Lincoln as well, doubting his loyalty where Pike is more lenient. [[WouldHurtAChild She is even willing to kill their children.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: From what we've seen of her, she hasn't been a very sympathetic character.
* PetTheDog: Subverted because [[spoiler:though she doesn't rat Monty out about helping his friends escape and makes an excuse for him and later helps him escape from Arkadia, she does eventually tell Pike and the helping him escape was just part of a plan to set a trap for his friends.]]
* KickTheDog:[[spoiler:When she attempted to kill that Grounder child and off-screen betraying her own son Monty to Pike.]]
* MercyKill: [[spoiler:Monty is forced to kill her while she's brainwashed, but later on, when he hacks into the City of Light code system, he deletes Hannah's code.]]
* MissingMom: In the first two seasons.
* RevengeBeforeReason: Her disdain for Grounders stem from Farm Station's history with Ice Nation who killed her husband and stands alongside Pike in his Anti-Grounder movement after the Mount Weather attack by them and she also participates in the Trikru massacre.
* RevengeByProxy: Willing to go after all Grounders just for having association with the Ice Nation who killed her husband.
* UndyingLoyalty: She is loyal to Pike for keeping her and their group alive during their time in the Ice Nation territory and leads to the conflicting loyalty between him and her son but [[spoiler:she ends up betraying Monty by helping him escape just so that Pike could set a trap for him and his friends.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Just like Pike she is motivated to protect her people from the Grounders but the problem is she is also motivated by hatred and revenge for what the Ice Nation did to her husband.
* WouldHurtAChild: She and Gilmer hunt down a Grounder kid because [[HeKnowsTooMuch he's seen too much]].
** Also as a participant in the massacre she possibly killed children who were apart of the army as Grounders do have ChildSoldiers that fight along side them.
