Feared by most of the galaxy as the "Oni (Devil) Princess of Jurai" (''Jurai no Oni-hime''), she's a high-ranking member of Jurai's royal family, [[TheManBehindTheMan The Woman Behind The Emperor]], and Tenchi's great-great-great... well, ''grandfather's grandmother''. She's infamous for her use of ThePlan and also loves [[JerkAss messing with people and their love lives for the lulz]]. She makes Seina her ''special'' friend early on...

* DickDastardlyPausesToCheat: In his duel with Seiryo, Shank tries to deploy the gun in his prosthetic arm. Seiryo has already closed the distance and gotten within sword range before Shank could draw a bead, causing the latter to lose the duel.

* TheDreaded: The mere presence of her communication ID is enough to cause an entire fleet of hardened pirates to shut down all equipment, ''including life support,'' to show that they're surrendering without resistance. Let's don't think of the outcome if they hadn't done so...

* MistakenForBadass: Amane only tries to recruit Seina as she thought that Seina is Tenchi's student and knew the terrible secret of space simply because he happened to in Tenchi house, knew Tenchi, and survive ship crashing on him with minimal damage. He does [[TakeALevelInBadass take multiple levels in Badass]] and becomes very influential in GP and Jurai [[spoiler:ESPECIALLY near the finale when he becomes third in line to the Jurian throne (behind Yosho and Tenchi)]].

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: An entire warfleet of rogue military was scared shitless when Seina, of all people, tore through them like paper and ''graphically crushed Shank's spaceship into a ball while it was still fully occupied.'' Seina doesn't regret it a bit.
* PointlessBandAid: Seina is always wearing a bandaid on his forehead just below the hairline. This is never explained, nor is he shown changing it at any time.

* SpottingTheThread: Despite not knowing Amane very long, he noticed something was ''off'' regarding the "Amane" that was trying to experiment on him.
* UnderstandingBoyfriend: Child hood friend is a black ops specialist, who can and will bathe in the blood of her enemies? The teacher who recruited him is TheTease and a very TriggerHappy HardDrinkingPartyGirl who thinks leaving the fashion model business is being a DefectorFromDecadence? Getting romanced by a shape-shifting Space pirate that wants to perform human experimentation on him? Having a girl who is ReallySevenHundredYearsOld that looks, and acts, like a small child try to cater to you by calling you "big brother?" Having your wedding ceremony being interrupted by four women who outright kidnap you and [[BlackComedyRape force you to consummate marriage with them on camera?]] That's cool. It's just how they roll.

* UnfazedEveryman: It's harder to be any more unfazed than Seina. Not being traumatized by being kidnapped from his own wedding and forced to consummate relations with four women who are near complete strangers is over-the-top for anyone.

* WillfullyWeak: Averted. Seiryo Tannan forced Seina to take the physical training classes designed for people who have already undergone the strength enhancing surgery required for space prior to actually getting the procedure himself in order to break him and get him out from the academy. Seina with pure willpower survive ''enhanced'' physical training classes with normal human body for 2 days before the academy found out and put a stop on Seiryo scheme.

She's an [[NobleDemon honorable]] space pirate who has somehow gained an immense fanclub among GP officers, who revere her as an idol. [[WeCanRuleTogether She tried to recruit Seina as a pirate on his way to the academy]], and they continued encountering each other afterwards. Named for the [[ShoutOut Ryoko of the original series]].

* GutFeeling: A flashback reveals that she was part of the rather large fleet of pirates chasing Seina at the start of the series, but she sensed something was amiss and backed off, to the chagrin of her crew... until Seto's ship showed up, and they all praised their captain's insight.

By the end of the story, he's become so enraged by Seina both literally and figuratively dismantling his entire pirate career and infrastructure that he infiltrates Seina's wedding ''and tries to wipe out Seina's entire bloodline.''
