* ButNotTooEvil: The Medic was around during WWII, is German, has a dark past, and like most of the rest of the team, is a sociopath who considers his healing an untintended side effect of his real work. But he's not a [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazi]].

* Unlocks: The "Soldier's Stash" (a 'Nam era helmet with a packs of cigarettes and an Ace of Spades banded to it, as seen in films like FullMetalJacket and SavingPrivateRyan), the "Tyrant's Helm" (a [[HornyVikings Viking helmet]]), [[ImprovisedArmour a cooking pot]], the "Killer's Kabuto" ([[EverythingsBetterWithSamurai a Samurai Kabuto]] Helmet), the Sergeant's Drill Hat, a tilted Drill Sergeant's wide brimmed hat, the "Grenadier's Softcap", and a [[{{Worms}} new, unnamed helmet]].

* The [[{{Worms}} Holy Hand Grenades]]: A pair of {{Holy Hand Grenade}}s, which replace the regular grenades seen on his outfit. Given to those who bought ''Worms Reloaded'' before September 2nd, after which they will be apparently LostForever.

A new community-made update for the Sniper was announced recently. It is called the '''Croc-O-Style Kit''' (contributed by nrek), which is [[StrangelySpecificDenial definitely not based off of]] [[SteveIrwin any crocodile hunters]] but includes:

*** Hang on. This is [[RuleOfFunny the]] [[RuleOfCool same]] [[WorldOfBadass universe]] where AbrahamLincoln was a [[BeethovenWasAnAlienSpy flamethrower wielding mercenary]]. It's possible the soldier is perfectly correct in his statements.

* ArtificialLimbs: The Gunslinger was meant to be for people with stubs at the end of their arms. The TF2 blog implied that the Engineer sawed off his own hand just to use the weapon. [[EpilepticTrees Fans think that the Engineer always had a prosthetic hand underneath the glove and the Gunslinger is just replacing it for the moment.]]
** Amusingly, the arm is fine when the Gunslinger is not worn. [[FridgeBrilliance Consider this - they always respawn all fine after dying - who's to say he can "respawn" with his lost arm intact when he doesn't want to use his Gunslinger?]]
*** But what if you change the loadout and then go to the resupply cabinet? The only possibility is that he gets the Gunslinger, [[NightmareFuel saws of his own arm right in front of the cabinet and replaces it.]] The only way he could "Equip" his hand is if he took the Gunslinger off and sewed his hand back on. That, or the aforementioned idea of him already having a robotic hand.

*** Hang on. This is the same universe that Abraham Lincoln was a flamethrower wielding mercernary. It's possible the soldier is perfectly correct in his statements.

* ButtMonkey: There's a lot of TF videos out on youtube. Like half of them involve the Scout getting his ass kicked after [[SuicidalOverconfidence annoying another team member.]]

* LauncherOfAThousandShips: [[YaoiFangirl Yaoi Fangirls]] enjoy making him the Team Bicycle, complete with {Ukefication}} or other forms of CanonDefilement.

* FanNickname: A Demoman wielding an Eyelander and a Chargin' Targe is referred to as a "Demoknight".

* '''[[TheArcher The Huntsman]]''', a bow capable of pinning targets to walls when they die. It fires faster, and is allegedly better at close range. [[ArrowsOnFire Can be set on fire]] [[CombinationAttack by a Pyro]] to set enemies hit ablaze. The tradeoff is that NoArcInArchery is {{averted}}, meaning it's a lot harder to hit people from across the map. It also has 13 arrows compared to the rifle's 25 bullets. Replaces the SniperRifle in the primary weapon slot.

* Melee: '''[[MagicTool Uhlman Build-Matic Wrench]]'''. Hit a machine, it [[RidiculouslyFastConstruction makes it build faster]], [[PercussiveMaintenance fixes it]], [[EvolvingWeapon upgrades it]], or [[UnorthodoxReload refills its ammo supply]]. Hit an enemy, and it... gives them a concussion or cracks their skull open. The remarkable utility of the wrench is lampshaded in the [[http://store.steampowered.com/manual/440/ tongue-in-cheek online "manual"]], in which detailed instructions are given for upgrading his machines, all of which are synonyms for "bash machine with wrench", which is of course the only action you can perform in-game. Given the kind of kill counts Engineers can accumulate by proxy from their sentry guns, the wrench tends to crit frequently, making approaching a busy Engineer a chancy proposition; he's likely to bash you to death in two swings, then go right back to his machine on the next hit.
