* NonActionGuy: She doesn't really fight and isn't known to have any weapons or magic. However, she did throw a rock at the vampire, and struck the final blow using Niralie's sword when it was down.

!Last Seen in Threads of Fate Act 2
[[folder:The Linvails]]
!!Dalvum Linvail
-> ''"You'll find that people are normally willing to steep to... mild extremes when Daedric artifacts are concerned."''

Son of the Pirate King Malvirian Linvail, who docked at Windhelm to find the Threads before his father arrived as to not warrant an invasion if it wasn't necessary. Things didn't quite go his way.

----
* CharacterDeath: Grelok manages to stab him to death after a quick brawl in the captain's cabin of the ''Morgiah''.
* DaddyIssues: It's likely that Malvirian only used him as a conduit for his legacy as a notorious pirate.
* TheDragon: To his father, Malvirian.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: His death eliminates the possiblity of any peaceful resolution to Malvirian's arrival at Windhelm. At least Grelok makes up for it later.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He was killed by Grelok shortly after his first physical appearance.

!!Malvirian Linvail
-> '' "I will give the Jarl of this hole five minutes to deliver what I seek before I raze the city to the ground."''

The dreaded Pirate King that coveted the Threads of the Webspinner, setting his eyes on the city of Windhelm to find the artifacts residing there.

----
* ArcVillain: Of Act 2.
* CharacterDeath: Through the combined efforts of Grelok, Eolwyn, and Valentia. Grelok distracts him in a duel, losing his hand in the process. Valentia takes advantage of the distraction by breaking out of an invisibility spell and stabbing Malvirian in the back, stunning him. Eolwyn then takes the opportunity to finish Malvirian off with an arrow to the neck.
* Elfeminate: Averted. Even though Dunmer tend to be the most physically-able of the Elder Scrolls elves, he is noted to be especially physically capable.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: It is implied that he would have spared Windhelm of an attack if he were simply handed the Threads. However, the death of his son at the hands of Grelok leaves him determined to simply raze the city to the ground.
* FlatCharacter: Because of his danger to the people of Windhelm and the player characters themselves, he doesn't spend much time talking during his physical appearance in the story. What little that could be gleamed of his personality came from letters he had sent to his son.
* NeutralEvil: His only goal is to acquire all of the Threads of the Webspinner in order to attain unstoppable power and to build his legacy from said power. Damned be any that get in his way.
* Pirate: Of the Brute variety.
* PirateKing: Of the pirates sailing the waters of Skyrim, Morrowind, and Solstheim. It is unknown what sort of ramifications his death will have on the piracy scene there.
* SociopathicSoldier: He was formerly an Imperial Legionnaire and served with Ragnir, but was dishonorably discharged on account of his unruly behavior. He turned to piracy afterwards.

!!Vayniah Linvail

Daughter of the Pirate King Malvirian Linvail, who fought in the Siege of Windhelm and made her escape when her opponents began to quarrel among themselves.

----
* BreakoutCharacter: Though she served a relatively small role as a miniboss for Dorian (and later Zudeel), her Thread-enhanced acrobatics coupled with her mastery over fire magic has made some players hope for her return in a much larger role.
* DragonAscendant: Several players are fairly convinced that she will return later in such a role.
* MiniBoss: While Grelok, Valentia, Niralie, Eolwyn, Nora and Katlina fought off Malvirian in the Snow Quarter, Dorian and Zudeel fought her at the Windhelm bridge.
* SoLongSuckers: She initially offers her acrobatics-enhancing Threads as compensation for her release, but when Zudeel and Dorian disagree on letting her live and come to blows over it, she escapes after a quick taunt.

[[folder:From Windhelm]]

!!Elethir, the Innkeeper

The Innkeeper of the ''Exile's Rest'' in Windhelm's Snow Quarter. He and his wife nursed Niralie and Valentia back to health after Arellius and Eolwyn dropped them off in his inn.

----
* TheBartender: He acts as this to his customers.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: He outlives his daughter Lithia, who was killed when Grelok's battle with Dalvum Linvail led to the pirate ship they were on catching on fire. He doesn't take it very well.
** He seems to be handling it better after the siege, knowing that his daughter's 'killers' have been brought to justice. He never realized that it was inadvetendly Grelok's fault
* TraumaInn: He and his wife heal Valentia and Niralie at his inn.

!!Felix, the Steward

The Steward of both Jarl Valdimar and then Jarl Ragnir, who lended his leverage in the court to the heroes in order to displace the corrupt Jarl Valdimar.

----
* QuestGiver: He lays out the plan to get rid of Jarl Valdimar to the player characters, offering replacement options and displacement methods.
* WildCard: He only serves Jarl Valdimar to keep his family safe. Once he realizes he has a way out of the arrangement, he devotes himself to helping the heroes depose the Jarl.

!!Lithia

Elethir's daughter. A hopeless romantic, she was swayed by false promises of love and high adventure by Dalvum Linvail, and manipulated into providing the pirate with valuable information.

----
* CharacterDeath: She is caught in the blaze that Dalvum inadvertendly started when he tried to strike Grelok with a fireball on board his ship.
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: She believes that her supposed romance with Dalvum will lead to adventure and love. The poor girl never realizes she is being doped.

!!Madajha, the Locksmith

A locksmith in the city of Windhelm and an elder member of the Thieves Guild. She provided the group with information when they were searching for Lithia, and helped defend Windhelm with a labyrinth of myriad traps.

----
* TheDowager: Though not quite royalty, she ''is'' the mother of Ak'rassa, the current leader of the Skyrim Thieves Guild.
* MasterOfUnlocking: She is a locksmith, as well as a practiced Thieves Guild Member.

!!Jarl Ragnir Ember-heart
-> ''"Your fool of a son is dead, old 'friend', and this city will fight to the last man, heathen trinket or no. Now turn tail like you did in the Legion, or fight me like a man!"''

The newly installed Jarl of Windhelm, having defeated the previous Jarl, Valdimar, in single combat. He is a proud, just man who believes in ruling firmly but fairly. He was originally a legionnaire and then a militia leader, but with the help of Eolwyn, Grelok, and Felix, he was able to stage an uprising against Windhelm's corrupt Jarl in order to take the position himself.

----
* CarryABigStick: His weapon of choice is a Skyforge-Steel Mace.
* TheCoup: With the aid of the player characters (mostly Eolwyn and Grelok), he is able to muster support for a coup against Valdimar, and wins through a duel to the death to become the new Jarl.
* CurbstompBattle: Absolutely ''decimated'' Valdimar in their duel, as everyone present expected.
* DuelToTheDeath: The method through which he kills Valdimar and takes up the mantle of Jarl.
* FantasticRacism: Subverted. He seems to hold some animosity towards elves deep down, but he is able to put this aside to handle business, and even names several elves as champions of Windhelm. He is often quick to shut up his militiamen if they mouth off a slur.
* HomeGuard: Before becoming Jarl, he had raised up a local militia to do the work of the corrupt city guard force. Upon winning the title of Jarl, most of his militiamen became guards in their own right to replace those who abided Valdimar's slimy ways.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Totes a shield in tandem with his mace.
* RousingSpeech: Several times.
--> ''"I ask all able bodied men and women now; join us in fighting this menace who seeks to disrupt our lives in their aimless quest for plunder! Raise your sword in defense of your homes, your families! Those who are unable or unwilling to fight, the palace is open to you until the siege passes. Give what you can to the defenders. We will weather this storm, and we will rebuild when the time comes."''

!!Runthor Star-song

A guardsman in Windhelm who resisted Valdimar's corrupt ways to the point of being thrown in jail. He was a possible candidate for the position of Jarl, but instead became Jarl Ragnir's Guard Captain upon his installation.

----
* BeingGoodSucks
* ByTheBooksCop: Especially after becoming Guard Captain.
* DraggedByTheCollar: He is hauled off by corrupt guardsman after expressing his hatred for the Jarl's ways in light of Valentia being openly attacked in the streets.
* TheFettered: He is committed to doing right and acting honorably.
* HonorBeforeReason: Runthor stands fast on his beliefs even though it lands him in a jail cell.

!!Jarl Valdimar Gold-heart

The Jarl of Windhelm upon the arrival of the heroes. Portly, hedonistic, and corrupt, his abysmal leadership was a contributing factor to the Siege of Windhelm.

----
* AintTooProudToBeg: He pleads with Ragnir to reconsider the duel, though he tries to mask it by making it sound as if he's concerned about ''Ragnir's'' safety.
--> ''"N-now, then, Ragnir, surely we can work something out? There's no need for you to put your life on the line, here, is there...?"''
* CharacterDeath: He is challenged to a duel to the death by Ragnir, and is decidedly trumped in battle. To solidify his victory, Ragnir strikes him one last time with his mace, killing him.
* DirtyCoward: To the very end.
* TheHedonist: Very much so.
* MoneyFetish: And not above taking bribes from the pirates to allow them to bully his people.
* TheSociopath: Not so much that he actively pursues evil, as much as he is completely unmoved by the suffering of his own people so long as he gets what he wants.
** He is implied to have once been a good man, but after wearing the Amulet of Sanguine Enterprise for over a decade, his gift for dealing and negotiating led to an insatiable lust for gold and other material goods. This lust only worsened over time, resulting in the Jarl of the present day when the heroes arrive.

!!Sanguine, Daedric Lord of Debauchery
-> ''"Yes, you guessed right, lovelies; it is I, Sanguine, Daedric Prince of revelry, hedonistic celebration, indulgence of vices, et cetera et cetera and ad nauseam. I know you all well; I've been watching you quite intently through my little baubles. You're a fascinating little bunch, in more ways than you know."''

One of the 17 Daedric Princes, he is the Prince of hedonism, debauchery, and the further indulgences of one's darker nature. Feeling that his artifacts, the Threads of the Webspinner, had been strewn about the realms untouched for far too long, he disguised himself as an Argonian seer ('Seeks-the-Lost') and inspired Malvirian Linvail to seek the Threads out, biding his time to swipe the artifacts at a later date in order to redistribute them across the land as he saw fit.

However, after witnessing the actions of the player characters in resisting Malvirian's siege on Windhelm, he took an interest in them and revealed his true form, emparting them with the quest to recover the remaining Threads scattered about Tamriel in order for them to be returned to him.

----
* DealWithTheDevil: Some of the player characters are worried that his given quest will end up like this.
* DevilInDisguise: He adopted the guise of Seeks-the-Lost in order to goad Malvirian into pursuing the Threads, promising him glory and riches.
* GiveMeYourInventoryItem: The essence of the quest he gives to the player characters.
* GodInHumanForm: He can assume any form he wishes as an avatar, though it's usually something flashy.
* HotGod: He adopts an attractive avatar after shedding the guise of Seeks-the-Lost.
* ImpracticallyFancyOutfit: When in his Dremora-like form, he wears fitted robes that shift through the colors of the rainbow.
* SurveillanceAsThePlotDemands: He has been watching the group with mild interest since Suran through Valentia's ring, though once they enetered Windhelm and became intertwined with Malvirian's hunt, his interest grew to the point of him abandoning Malvirian in favor of the player characters.
