Sam's babysitter whom she loathes. She used to look after Sam when she was younger, and Sam claims she was never allowed to do anything fun, to the point that she calls her "Ol' Boring." She invites Sam's family to a showing of ''TheNutcracker'', and decides to teach Sam a lesson about patience when Sam says she's about to be "Bored to death."

* BabysitterFromHell: Subverted in that, while she was strict when she ''was'' Sam's babysitter, she doesn't reveal how bad she actually is until after she's formally stopped looking after Sam.

* DisproportionateRetribution: Okay so yes, Sam was being a bit of a brat, but in hindsight it's clear she didn't want to go with her parents to the ballet because she had an unpleasant history with this woman. And if she wanted to torment Sam into learning what boredom is, she didn't necessarily have to drag everybody else into it.

* SoftSpokenSadist: In her effort to terrorize Sam into learning patience, the spell she cast may not live others aware of what's happening but it still effects them. Sam can see that her mother is aging and so is pretty much everyone else in the audience. She also frequently tells Sam, as sweetly as she can, that if she wants the ballet to be over, she'll simply have to be patient.
* TimeMaster: She has the power to manipulate the passage of time. In order to show Sam what ''real'' boredom is, she casts a spell that makes the ballet drag on for so long that, by the end of the first act, Sam has grown out of the dress that was originally too big for her. She also makes it impossible for Sam to leave the theater, and Sam is the only one besides Boren who is aware of what's going on.

* AgeLift: In the original story, Susie's a grown woman due to Beth explicitly mentioning she has children. Her ''Horrortown'' counterpart is clearly meant to be a young girl.

* EvilOldFolks: She acts very doting to Neal when she meets him, but that's a ruse to use her "dolly jelly" on him. She's actually one of the cruelest villains in the series, and as revealed in the finale has claimed many victims with her dolly jelly.

* AdaptationalUgliness: Downplayed. While calling him ugly is a bit of a stretch, Seth - who is implied to be tall and thin with a nice haircut - is considerably a bit less attractive in the TV series. He's short, he's chubby and has an unflattering, curly hair cut.

Slapstick Knows No Gender by itself isn't a trope now. I also don't think this falls under Butt Monkey or something similar.

* SlapstickKnowsNoGender: The sucking monster patches onto her first. And when she's trying to get it off her, she’s screaming and has her leg covered in slime.

Meganekko is no longer a trope. It's a Fanspeak term. Moving wicks to Bespectacled Cutie when appropriate.

* {{Meganekko}}: Her attempt to create this look by putting on a cool pair of old-fashioned glasses results in her getting sent back in time to the 1950s.
