Removing Has A Type, which has only inconclusive and inconsistent examples — the very opposite of what the trope is about.

* HasAType:
** It's hard to boil it down, but in general Peter tends to be drawn to girls who are independent, opinionated, and a little more forthright and outspoken than he is, and given the fact that he tends to be the one who gets dumped more than vice-versa, he's generally not the kind who likes to wear the pants in a relationship, which is [[WeaknessTurnsHerOn what attract women to him in the first place]].
** DependingOnTheWriter, some have claimed that Peter tends to be drawn to girls who value him for his smarts (which was often parroted by characters during his romance with Carlie). But in fact, after breaking up with Betty Brant (his first girlfriend), Peter got soured on the idea of girls valuing him for his brains and not his other qualities, or otherwise typing him to just one bracket as in the scene in Issue #36,
--> '''Sally Green''' : I was hoping you'd come, because I'm so anxious to have at least one boy with brains, instead of all those brawny athletic types!\\
'''Peter Parker''' (thought bubbles): Oh no! Will I always be thought of as nothing but an Egghead?

* PintSizedPowerhouse: Peter is by no means very small but his build is lean and he, like Daredevil or Black Cat, has a reputation for being fast, agile, and hard to hit. This makes most villains believe that he's a FragileSpeedster. He isn't. At all. Peter can officially lift over 10 tons and has lifted more than that when pressed and running on adrenaline. It's just that Peter is TheNiceGuy so he always holds back when dealing with any villains who can't handle punches from a man that can bench press a fire truck. This has often caught his enemies offguard much to their regret.

Peter Parker was a shy, timid, asocial and bullied science genius, described as "Midtown High's Professional Wallflower". During a science exhibition with some isotope generators, a little spider was hit by a radioactive rays generated in the middle of two arcs. In a short while, Peter found out, to his initial delight, that he had gained super-strength, the ability to crawl on walls and other abilities. After this tragic event, he vowed to dedicate his life to helping innocent people with his powers to atone for his big mistake and to honor his uncle's beliefs in justice and responsibility.

Peter Parker was your typical genius student in Midtown High School, but one day everything changed. During a science exhibition, a little spider was hit by a radioactive ray and before dying it bit poor Peter Parker, granting him all its abilities. Peter attempted to use these abilities to get some money for his poor family, but full of resentment towards everyone except his aunt and uncle, he let a burglar escape after one of his shows, only for this same burglar to kill his Uncle Ben a few days later. After this tragic event, he vowed to dedicate his life to helping innocent people with his powers to atone for his big mistake and to honor his uncle's beliefs in justice and responsibility.

The life of Peter Parker is full of ups and downs: in his most well-known life period, he lived with his Aunt May, worked as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, was distrusted by half of New York thanks to his old boss J. Jonah Jameson, and dated (subsequently married) ComicBook/MaryJaneWatson.

After the Superior Spider-Man [[GrandTheftMe hijacked his body]], Peter spent a short stint being OnlyMostlyDead, until Superior gave up and handed the reins back to Peter.

Eventually, Peter created his own company: Parker Industries. Although it had a rough start, it ended up becoming a multi-million multinational corporation that turned Peter into a worldwide tech celebrity. However, he's determined to not to let that fame get to his head, and keeps being the humble, honest, down-to-earth kid from Queens he's always been. For a year, he made the world believe that Spider-Man was his personal bodyguard in exchange for him making the multiple gadgets he uses for crime fighting. However, a string of mistakes on Peter's part, including aiding in liberating ComicBook/SilverSable's home country of Symkaria, [[ComicBook/DeadNoMoreTheCloneConspiracy the New U incident]] and [[ComicBook/SecretEmpire HYDRA's takeover of the United States]], Parker Industries was ruined and became a defunct company. Even worse, Peter is now finding himself caught up in a plagiarizing scandal when it was revealed that the work that got him a doctorate degree in Empire State University was copied work of Otto Octavius, no one but Peter knowing that Otto himself copied the work in Peter's body.
