* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: When he was Median the Conqueror, he established his rule over the continent of Prodesto by single-handedly conquering the neighboring countries and unifying them under his banner. Whether it be in his undead state or in his prime, there is a reason the man was recognized as a king.

Before she can talk him down, Dio teleports her away and Levin ends up getting killed. That said, she's quite resilient and deals with everything by herself when given a little time alone.]]

Penn is a human child adopted by the Nereids. They view him somewhere between a son and a their future sperm donor as the Nereids do not have any males. He seems unconcerned with this plan for better or worse since while he likes the Nereids, he [[BuxomIsBetter likes well endowed women]] and the Nereids are all rather "streamlined." He's also a rather mouthy kid. He goes around dressed as a girl, presumably because Nereids don't know how treat male children.

* DirtyKid: [[BuxomIsBetter He loves big boobs.]] For this reason in Juno's ending, [[spoiler: if Revya is female, he asks her to marry him, much to her chagrin]].

* TheGunslinger: Fights with a pair of pistols.

* PetTheDog: These moments are rare, but most of her interactions with Trish are this. [[spoiler:It makes sense, since Trish is her sister.]]

* TheStarscream: To Endorph. She is not very fond of Endorph turning their group of bandits into Robin Hood-style vigilantes, and wants to go back to stealing from people for their own selfish gain.

* SatelliteCharacter: He role is the plot is defined by his relationship with Tricia and Shauna, and by his connection with the Yesterwind.

Both he and Revya can summon part of the scythe in battle, and Gig even summons the scythe in full as one of his skills in his DLC appearances in ''Disgaea''.

* TookALevelInJerkass: It happens gradually and Revya almost never notices it, but overtime they start acting like a DeadpanSnarker and give the occasional insult. This is due to mainly due to Gig influencing them as he's residing inside their soul. [[spoiler:UpToEleven in the Demon Path, though whether this is because Revya is pissed at Layna or Gig influencing them straight from the get-go is ambiguous.]]

* ButtMonkey: While he has shades of this in the Normal path, the Demon path cranks it UpToEleven. Basically all of his screentime features the other characters abusing him in some way.

* CastingAShadow: His powers are essentially Revya's Demon powers turned UpToEleven.

Hawthorne is Trish's father and a very wealthy man who is quite a bit older than he is. Shauna hates him and captures him to prove a point to Trish.

* ALoadOfBull: The Redflank are a race of Minotaur men.

* BecomingTheMask: [[spoiler:There's hints of it after he regains his true body, particularly the fact that he's still somewhat flustered around Trish. If your RelationshipValues are high enough, Euphoria tells Revya that she can't really tell the difference between Levin and Raksha anymore, which eventually leads into his epilogue, where he and Revya WalkTheEarth together.]]

Gestahl is an undead swordsman with unmatched power and a known companion and protector of the Dio line. He is covered in bandages and spends much of his time in stasis.

* BadassNormal: As far the setting is concerned, he's an ordinary human with no magic any tricks boosting his power. Despite this, his BonusBoss fight is the ''strongest enemy in the entire game'' - in a game where the competition is world-devouring gods!
* BonusBoss: As Median the Conqueror, and is the strongest enemy in the game. You gain access to him after you beat him.
* CameBackWrong: As Gesthal, he has to contantly use Crimson Tears and other peoples' lives to sustain his current state.

* ClimaxBoss: Since the real final boss is an AnticlimaxBoss to a certain extent, Gestahl is the last truly difficult foe in the Normal path.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: As Median. Granted Gig was still Vigilance at the time, but the guy killed the ''freakin' GrimReaper!'' And if you lose to [[BonusBoss him]], Virtuous falls too, though doesn't exactly end well for him as it caused the end of the world.
** BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu: Killing Gig left the souls on Haephness vulnerable to Drazil's influence, and dies later at Virtuous' hands.

** But not really. Dio is his [[TheDragon Dragon]].

* HeadsIWinTailsYouLose: It doesn't matter if you win the BonusBoss fight with him, in the cutscene afterwords he will stil beat you. The only influence you have is whether or not you keep him from killing Virtuous and causing the end of the world.

* ICannotSelfTerminate: He has to force Revya to defeat him in a clean fight; if he simply allowed them to kill him, she could not gain his full powers.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: All the problems in Haephnes were caused by him killing Vigilance out of revenge for the death of his son and his wish to live forever and govern the united Prodesto. Also, there's an optional moment where if you lose to him in the BonusBoss battle, he tries to kill Virtuous as well, which causes the end of the world.

* WeaksauceWeakness: Revya has a favorable matchup against almost every unit type except Gideons (who are the most powerful units in the game, but won't appear in normal gameplay) and... Gypsies, who can utterly destroy them in a fight if you're not careful.

* SealedEvilInACan: Following his defeat at Layna's hands, Gig was sealed within the Onyx Blade. He's been waiting for 200 years to bust out, and believes he gets his chance when Layna merges his soul with Revya's, only to later discover that he's traded one prison for a new one.
* SinisterScythe: The natural WeaponOfChoice for a GrimReaper and is as tall as him. He's only seen wielding it in flashbacks [[spoiler:and the Normal Path Ending.]] Revya can summon part of the scythe's blade into his Onyx Blade whenever they perform Demon Blast.
