* MoveInTheFrozenTime: It's not just enough that Sonic's fast enough to outrun the effects of Time Man's [[BulletTime Time Slow]], but when Flash Man activated [[TimeStandsStill Time Stopper]], Sonic was the ''only'' one besides Flash Man himself who could move with time frozen in place.

* {{Knighting}}: He was dubbed "Sir Sonic" by King Max at one point, only to be stripped of the title much later by his son, [the acting ruler] Elias Acorn [[note]]Sonic had stolen the Sword of Acorns in a desperate attempt to save Uncle Chuck, only to lose it to Eggman's robots. As he failed to consult the Acorn family or find out how it worked, this punishment was likely justified. Then again, Geoffery guided Elias' temporary rule and recommended this.[[/note]] When offered to be reinstated some time after several heroics, Sonic declined, more interested in action than titles.

** GeniusBruiser: Rotor. Secondary SmartGuy along with Tails, but is much more physically capable after the Reboot. And his tech skills are generally in weaponry.

Sonic manages to snap him out of it, stating that Rotor is more a man then he is because he was willing to fight Eggman rather then roll over like his father did.]]

* JerkassBall: She's usually a nice girl, but she tends to act this way when she loses rationality through stress, such as slapping Sonic across the face and calling him selfish after the latter chose to - [[FearlessFool while handicapped]] - continue the fight against Eggman instead of ruling the Kingdom with her. It should be remembered that this took place after [[FreudianExcuse she'd suffered through a year of believing that Sonic had died.]]

* BarefootCartoonAnimal[=/=]DoesNotLikeShoes: Initially anyway in the old verse's design. In the the new verse, she does wear shoes.

* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Well, less "evil" and more "hard to control", but his Werehog form counts. He eventually gets a handle on it after some training.

* WhatTheHellHero: Gives a scathing one to Silver in issue 235. First, when Silver appears and declares that Antoine is the traitor that will destroy the Freedom Fighters, Sonic smashes through his house's wall and literally drags Silver to the hospital to show him the comatose Antoine and to explain that Antoine had previously pulled off a HeroicSacrifice to save the Acorn family and thus couldn't possibly be the traitor. It continues once they subsequently discover a note from Bunnie explaining that she had left to "make things right," and Silver quickly declares that ''Bunnie'' is the traitor based on the fact that she left without telling anyone; at this point, Sonic has finally had enough of Silver's InspectorJavert tendencies and snaps, furiously telling Silver that there ''is'' no traitor, that he trusts his friends, and that they're all bigger heroes than a "flake" like Silver could ever hope to be before ordering Silver to go home. When Silver tells him that he's TrappedInThePast, Sonic flat-out tells him to just go away.

** The Endgame Arc (Issues 47-50) placed Sonic through the wringer. Sally was seemingly murdered, and Sonic was framed for the crime. He was immediately found guilty and sent to a high-security prison, only to escape while under attacked. He was then chased down and a few friends turned on him until Dulcy set the record straight. And just as he saved the day as usual, Robotnik used a doomsday weapon to destroy Knothole Village. This was more than enough for him to lose it and face his nemesis in [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown one last battle]]. [[spoiler: Luckily, Knothole was just sent to a pocket dimension for several issues by Snively, who adjusted the weapon to only kill his uncle, and Sally wasn't dead after all.]]

** Ultra Sonic: Attained by absorbing a large number of Power Rings, giving him ElementalPowers and a couple other StockSuperpowers. He also has the ability to transform into the following terrain based variants:[[note]]Note that all three of these have only been seen once.[[/note]]

* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Tended to do this when butting heads with Sally's father, and now more often thanks to the formation of the Council of Acorn. He even spells this out to them in issue 224, when they're legitimately considering voting to let Ixis Naugus become king, and Sonic objects.

* RealityEnsues: Like in the games and ''Sonic X'' most of her UnstoppableRage moments were PlayedForLaughs. Only more grave or no-nonsense opponents like Scourge (who has a ''far'' worse version of her in his own universe) and Shadow NoSell the gag and make clear she ''isn't'' scaring them in the slightest, with them both even adding a CurbstompBattle to the gesture. [[WouldHitAGirl Being treated as an equal fighter has its downsides]].

* EveryoneHasStandards: In issue 230, despite trashing Eggman's goons in droves on a regular basis, they're still utterly repulsed to find out just how far Eggman's BadBoss tendencies go; he reveals his World Roboticizer will destroy everything that's already robotic, and when pointed out that he'll be destroying his Dark Egg Legion and Badnik Horde as well, Eggman, with a giant SlasherSmile, states outright that he doesn't care because [[WeHaveReserves he can easily rebuild]]. It's at this point that Sonic, who previously [[SympathyForTheDevil pitied Eggman]] due to his VillainousBreakdown, loses any tolerance he had for the doctor, openly stating he's disgusted with himself for ever showing mercy to or feeling sympathy for him at all.
