* TheLinus: While highly intelligent, his childlike perceptive shows up several times, especially in early stories.

* PunnyName: Miles Tails Prower.

* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler: Briefly became dishearten upon finding that his father was one of Eggman's Egg Boss and likewise still shows him no respect. Sonic manages to snap him out of it, stating that Rotor is more a man than he is because he was willing to fight Eggman rather then roll over like his father did.]]

* DropTheHammer: When she whips out her hammer, she's a force to be reckoned with.

While some of the events have changed Post-Genesis Wave, not much as really changed about his history save for the fact he's now parent-less (due to the lawsuit as his parents were a Pender's creation).

Sonic's best friend and sometimes-sidekick, Tails' earliest characterization suffered somewhat for being "the little kid who hero-worships Sonic and resents the other Freedom Fighters for babying him," and generally treated as more of an innocent in need of protection than an active asset to the team. Tails' first strike out at adventure on his own (where he met Fiona) was a rebellion in this spirit. Later issues worked to correct this by steadily upping his apparent maturity and skill with mechanics (which had the somewhat unintended consequence of rendering Rotor and Uncle Chuck redundant). Tails in the comics has also carried around the rather ambiguously defined title of "TheChosenOne," for a destiny he may or may not have fulfilled by this point. Least pre-Genesis Wave, Post-Wave seems have done away with this (as well as his parents who were Penders creations) though he's still one of the main tech-heads of the Freedom Fighters.

* BigBrotherInstinct[=/=]BigBrotherMentor: Usually towards Tails, though he sometimes passes it off to younger heroes.

* WhiteSheep: To the outside world, Big is very much considered this when compared to his kin. He is a jovial, peaceful and friendly fellow in contrast to the standard vicious and war mongering Felidae.

* AdaptationalBadass: He always prefers to cut and run in [=SatAM=], though he occasionally displays rare moments of bravery when it matters the most. Here though, he undergoes some serious character development, granting him the status of CowardlyLion and only improves from there, to the point where even Sonic is impressed.

* ButtMonkey: More so in the old continuity. He grew out of it.

* GratuitousFrench: Mostly in the early days of the comic, he was prone to spouting French and an overblown French FunetikAksent. This trait vastly decreased as part of his CharacterizationMarchesOn.

* TookALevelInBadass: Oh so much. He went from being basically afraid of his own shadow to Commander of the Royal Army. His rank following the reboot was unknown, but he's more physically able, having displayed a spin dash attack of his own by sticking his sword out during the move.

* BerserkButton: While [[TranquilFury more controlled]] than Sonic's case, someone speaking poorly of NICOLE or even doubting her importance as a living being can earn a ''very'' pointed ire from Sally.

* UndyingLoyalty: To Dr. Robotnik, being robotized and all.

* MissingMom: In the Post Genesis Wave Timeline, as Alica Acorn doesn't exist in that one.

* ScrewDestiny: Sally was once possessed by the Sword of Acorns, who constantly took over her body and filled her with visions, despite her rejecting the Source of All. While the Sword [[YouCantFightFate refused to take "no" for an answer]], Sally opted to hand the Sword over to the children of Uma Arachnis when they came looking for it.
* SitcomArchNemesis: Became one for Fang the Sniper after an infamous GroinAttack, leaving him incensed on taking her out in particular. He even lampshaded his [[CurbstompBattle recurring humiliations]] [[IWasBeatenByAGirl against her]], despite being a genuine threat against Sonic himself.

* TookALevelInJerkass: The reprogramming Eggman did gave her an evil personality, in an attempt to undo everything the Princess accomplished before roboticization and be ''proud'' of it. It went as petty as to bully and belittle Sonic and their friends, and reject their friendship. Tails reminded Amy that every she says is because of Eggman and not her. Post-SGW Sally remembered all of this, distraught about "what she said" as much as "what she did".

* CantStayNormal: [[WhatCouldHaveBeen If the story didn't reboot]], Bunnie would've gone and willingly gotten cybernetic implants after regaining her normal limbs, being unable to cope without them after having them for so long and wanting to continue helping her team.

* BerserkButton: Do ''not'' imply that Bunnie wanted her robotic parts.
* EmergencyTransformation: In the new universe, rather then have been a victim of partial robotization. She was caught in an blast by an Eggman attack that nearly killed her. Uncle Chuck used a prototype Roboticizer to save her life.

*** Among these was when he stole Fiona away from Tails sometime after his break up with Sally. Their tension boiled over to a full on fight, even after they saw her true colors, but they eventually made up.

** On top of dating Fiona despite full knowledge of Tails' crush on her, he criticizes and insults Tails' father for kick-starting a VelvetRevolution ''right in front of Tails himself'' during the House of Cards arc, and when trying to stop his mother from breaking him out of jail to continue it, fully expects Tails to be 100% okay with him doing so, going so far as to smirk and gloat to Rosemary and Amadeus' faces that even if they are his parents, Tails [[HeroWorshipper worships]] him and will [[EasilyForgiven get over it]]. Instead, Tails is justifiably pissed over all of that, on top of his dating Fiona, and hearing that leads him to snap and try to beat the crap out of Sonic.

* BarefootCartoonAnimal[=/=]DoesNotLikeShoes: Pre-Genesis Wave, she would never wear any sort of footwear in her unroboticized form, and even her roboticized form would give each foot individual toes, implying she was still "barefoot" (DependingOnTheArtist; this was less apparent in the earlier comics than the later ones). Downplayed (if not averted) post-Genesis Wave; her feet now look significantly more like pink shoes, although the white tips of each "shoe" still sort of look like a three-toed paw.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: The only member of the Freedom Fighters (not counting Dulcy or Nicole) who goes barefoot on a regular basis. Subverted in Post-Genesis Wave as he now wears flipper-shaped sneakers.

This is because in ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM'', which the comic was originally based on, [[IntelligentGerbil Mobians]] as a species [[NoNudityTaboo didn't seem to have a nudity taboo of any kind.]] [[note]]Far and away most Mobians (male and female) would wear [[http://archive.is/XkrOH no clothing at all,]] or whatever they specifically need for a job; Freedom Fighters often wear [[http://archive.is/nQbX1 bandoleers, gloves, boots, and nothing else.]] Only very few Mobians wore the "normal" amount of clothing for a human.[[/note]] As a result, character designs based on the ''[=SatAM=]'' style -- Sally among them -- also wear little clothing. * BrainUploading: [[spoiler:Nicole's programming was based on the mind of Dr. Ellidy's terminally ill daughter Nikki, in a last-ditch, ultimately unsuccessful attempt to save her. Or at least that's what he thinks, the comic seems to imply that it ''did'' work but wasn't as instantaneous as he wanted. [[GaveUpTooSoon So he deemed it a failure]] and gave the computer to Sally who's interaction with Nicole brought up more of her personality, with it presumed that this is Nikki but "reborn" in a sense.]]
