A independent scholar, and a trusted friend of Thalleous Sendaris, Hawken attempts to expand his knowledge on the history of Ardonia through intense research and curiosity. This led him to suspect that something on Mount Velgrin had done something to his [[KilledOffscreen scouts]] when they never returned. He lets Thalleous in on this lead, wanting to tag along in the hopes of finding out what happened to those he sent to investigate. [[spoiler: He dies saving Thalleous from that presence at Mount Velgrin.]]
