* UndyingLoyalty: She has served several generations of Shun's family because one of its kings took her in and valued her, which is the opposite of how her home town treated her. She insists on going back to said horrile town with Shun, specifically to continue taking care of him.

* ProperLady: When she was a toddler, she aspired to invoke this trope by becoming "the perfect young lady", someone who was kind, considerate, and generous. Together with her beauty, she believed this would make her worthy of being Merazophis's master. To him only, she reaches this goal, but she's nasty to others. Merazophis, however, doesn't care if she is a perfect proper lady, so long she allows him to continue serving her.

* KeepingSecretsSucks: [[spoiler: She really wants to be honest with her students about her special skill "class rooster", but one of its conditions refuses to let her tell anyone about it. This causes her much distress.]]

With this, Shiraori ''has'' to deal with her in someway. Should Katia be killed or give up her Authority, the human side is that much close to losing.]]

* HatedByAll: Despite her best intentions, most of the students who were gathered at the elf village hate her, especially Sachi Kudo, [[spoiler:who knows the elves have kidnapped them from their new families]]. Shun's party is particularly suspicious of her due to being cryptic. Wrath and Sophia also dislike her and only restrain themselves [[spoiler:due to Shiraori's orders. Only Shiraori has a genuine wish to protect her, if only to repay her for saving her back when she was a normal spider.]]

* LastOfHisKind: [[spoiler:After the forest of the elves is invaded and destroyed, she's the last remaining pure blooded elf.]]

* TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody: When talking about Shun with Katia, Feirune says she doesn't really consider human males attractive anymore thanks to her body. Normal Earth Dragons can't even tell the difference between two human faces. However, since she's never met another Earth Dragon she doesn't know whether she'd find them attractive or what to look for in one.

* NormalFishInATinyPond: He's held up as exceptional among the humans, but this is only because he has a completely intact soul unlike the natives and works very hard, though only through normal understandable means. Up until the war with the elves he was starting to get the impression that he was something of a big shot - though still humble about it - only to realize that he's no match at all even against Wrath or Sophia, let alone Ariel or Shiro.

* NormalFishInATinyPond: It's stated outright that the only reason he comes across as exceptional in this world is literally because he's a normal person. The rest of the world are barely eking by with crippled souls that greatly stunt their growth. Outside of the human kingdoms, he really isn't that big of a deal: Many monsters vastly outclass him, Potimas's robot army is far beyond his ability to deal with and even Shiraori's lieutenants do not consider him an actual threat.

* ExpositoryPronoun: Katia uses the very masculine ''[[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns ore]]'' to refer to herself in Japanese, along with using very masculine speech patterns to reflect that she was a guy during her previous life in Japan. She later switches to a more feminine way of speaking when she comes to later accept herself as a woman, including the succeeding changes to the pronouns she uses.

* TheUnblinking: To further demonstrate the fact that Yuri [[CuteAndPsycho isn’t quite right in the head]], the girl is ''never'' shown to blink, even for extended periods focused on her face.

* RingsOfDeath: Phelmina, [[spoiler: as a lieutenant of Shiraori's [[EliteArmy Tenth Army]], wields and is skillful of the chakrams that even [[TheHero Shun]] had a hard time dealing with them.]]
* ShedTheFamilyName: In Phelmina's POV in volume 12, [[spoiler: she abandons her family name and is referred only as Phelmina after her family disowns her due to Wald's scheme.]]

* HeroOfAnotherStory: Pretty much every time we see him he's in the middle of some grand adventure or another that only tangentially intersects with the main story.

* {{Archenemy}}: While Ariel and Gülie don't interfere with each other directly, their subordinates hate each other. Mother at one point blasts what is presumably a drake or dragon in the middle layer (the fire dragon Rend in the light novel and manga) without any provocation while Araba and Kagna destroy any webs they see on sight, though they dismiss Kumoko herself when she only hides or flees.

* TheQuietOne: Araba never speaks a word to Kumoko, even though other dragons show that he should also be capable of doing so.
