Slightly modified, since Word Of God likes to emphasize the auras.

Amaterasu is a Warrior Goddess who has a style focused heavily on buffing herself and her allies while simultaneously debuffing her enemies. Her passive, ''Illuminating Strike'', causes any enemy god she hits with three basic attacks in a short time period to be affected by an aura that causes them and other nearby enemies to take 10% more damage from all sources. Her first ability, ''Divine Presence'', heals herself over time when used and toggles between an aura of Valor, which provides power to nearby allies and herself, and Benevolence, which provides bonus movement speed instead. The aura remains indefinitely until toggled. Her second ability, ''Heavenly Reflection'', causes her to charge her mirror for up to five seconds. During this time, she takes less damage. After the charge is over, or it is cancelled, she fires her mirror straight ahead, damaging all enemies hit, the damage increasing based on how many times she inflicted or received damage during the charge-up. Her third ability, ''Glorious Charge'', has Amaterasu shine light off her sword, briefly silencing enemies in front of her before dashing forward, dealing damage and stopping at the first enemy god hit. Her ultimate, ''Dazzling Offensive'', has her unleash a three-hit combo strike in a cone in front of her, with each strike having increased effectiveness if the prior one hit. The first hit simply deals damage, if that connects the second hit deals increased damage and slows, if that connects the final hit deals even more damage and stuns.

The As the first Japanese deity and rays of dawn cross the [[TopGod Top Goddess]] horizon, before all else they touch the land of the Japanese Shinto pantheon. rising sun. A realm of islands painted with the careful brush strokes of its deities. That morning light, which brings warmth and life is Amaterasu, the benevolent Goddess of the sun. Universally, she is adored.

Less so are her brothers, namely Susano-o, bringer of storms, whose jealousy of his sister's popularity drove him to burn her golden rice fields and scatter the sacred looms of her people. Grief stricken at the destruction,
Amaterasu is sealed herself inside a deep cavern. Her people suffered and the child of Izanagi, born realm fell into crushing darkness.

For an unknown time, she stayed there hidden away
from his left eye, and rules the Heavens. She's armed with two atrocities of the Sacred Regalia of Japan: Mirror of Yata and Jewel of Yasakani, and world. Until, one day, came a thumping from outside. At first, she tried to ignore it, but curiosity called. Moving aside the great stone sealing the cavern, she peered cautiously out, only to stare into a polished bronze mirror. Blinded by her own reflection, Amaterasu was forced to creep further out to find the source of that, the sound. Hands grabbed her from either side and pulled her free of the cave. Gathered around were hundreds of friends and loved ones. Atop a normal katana.
wide tub danced Usume, Goddess of Mirth, creating the erratic drumming to the joy of all. Amaterasu smiled and light came back to the world.

Seeing all those that depended on her, all those that loved her, Amaterasu vowed never again to hide away from calamity. She would, instead, face it, just as the dawn rises each new day.
