god. His passive, ''Chain of Blows'', increases the damage of his first ability for every successful auto attack up to eight times. Ravana's first ability, ''Prana Onslaught'', hits all enemies in a cone in front of Ravana, slowing them up to 20% for 2 seconds. The ability does extra damage based on the amount of stacks in his passive. His second ability, ''Overhead Kick'', causes Ravana send a shockwave forward to damage all enemies in a line and rendering him unable to be damaged during the action. He is not immune to crowd control effects during this time period. His third ability, ''10-Hand Shadow Fist'', damages and passes through minions and damages and rootes the first god hit. Damaging enemies heals Ravana based on damage dealt up to 20%. His ultimate, ''Mystical Rush'', causes Ravana to rush to his target, damaging them and knocking aside all enemies in his path. The target is then linked to Ravana, doing full damage to him while all other enemies do reduced damage.

Ravana has been released

[[folder:Ravana, The Demon King of Lanka]]

Power does not come without sacrifice. The greater the sacrifice, the more immeasurable the power. Ravana, the Demon King of Lanka knew this. For years he worshipped, showing his devotion through isolation, prayer, and penance before the shrine of Shiva. Yet for years he was met with only silence. In his pursuit of immortality, he sacrificed his very life. He cut off his own head.

Agony and pain met him as it regrew. He was greeted not by death, but by rejection. Shiva the Destroyer did not want him. Ravana was undaunted. Nine more times his head was offered, and on his tenth sacrifice, Shiva was finally sated.

For the Demon King, Shiva granted a boon. Instead of immortality, he gained invulnerability against those he viewed as threats - gods or demons. Ravana could not be destroyed.

A master of combat, a genius scholar, a peerless leader, and now invincible, Ravana amassed an army of fiends and monsters to conquer the world. None could stop him. The Monkey King tried, but Ravana fought off his attacks. The Demon King's armies conquered all, leaving Ravana to rule from the golden throne.

Vishnu, in his wisdom and grace, would not permit Ravana's dominance. By gods and demons Ravana could not be harmed, but by mortals...

Thus was Vishnu reborn as Rama, a mere man. Now trained as a warrior, Rama calls the Demon King to battle.

Pride scraping like a knee on stone, Ravana rallies his monstrous siblings, his conquered allies, and his formidable army to answer Rama's taunt and their rivalry will shake the world.

He is a Warrior god.

[[caption-width-right:250:[[http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/smite.gamepedia.com/d/d1/Vamana_Intro_01.ogg "It's time to fight!"]]]]

-> '''Voiced by:''' Creator/ToddHaberkorn

Though small of stature, Vamana, the Fifth Avatar of Vishnu, should never be underestimated. His harsh lessons in humility have shamed even the proudest of kings.

The demon king, Bali, was fair and righteous, yet for all his virtues, Bali was extremely proud and driven by fierce ambition. After conquering the Underworld and all the Earth, Bali managed to wrest the Heavens from the God Indra. Unable to reclaim his seat, Indra implored Vishnu for aid, and so Vishnu took the form of a small mortal man, a priest named Vamana.

In his splendid palace, Bali was giving gifts to the pious. Vishnu, disguised as the monk Vamana and carrying a wooden umbrella, requested only as much land as he could cover in three steps. Bali offered Vamana an island but Vamana stuck to his request, which Bali granted against the wishes of his advisor. Immediately, Vamana grew to cosmic proportions, crashing through the ceiling of the palace and filling the sky. With one colossal step, he engulfed all the Earth and the Underworld. With a second step, he consumed the heavens. Now, with everything under his two feet, Vamana had nowhere to place his third step. He challenged Bali to go back on his word or offer somewhere else for him to step. Bali’s demon army surged forth, but the demon king held them back. Bowing in humility, Bali offered his head as the third step. Vamana sends Bali to the underworld but, in recognizing Bali’s benevolence, shows mercy by granting him sovereignty over it in appreciation of Bali’s sacrifice.

Vishnu returned control of the Heavens to Indra and left his Avatar behind, but he also left behind a valuable lesson. Even the mightiest and most arrogant of kings can be humbled by the smallest of men.

Vamana is a Warrior-type god. His passive, ''Sleeping Giant'', grants him bonus physical power based on his physical protection. Additionally, being attacked by enemy gods while under the effect of his ultimate extends its duration by up to 10s. Vamana's first ability, ''Clear the Path'', makes him charge forward, umbrella first, damaging and knocking up any enemies he encounters. His second ability, ''Armored Umbrella'', makes him attack a cone area in front of him with his umbrella, dealing damage. His third ability, ''Ubrellarang'', keeps up the theme of attacking with his umbrella, this time throwing it forward and having it return, damaging and slowing enemies it encounters. Enemies can be hit twice. Vamana's ultimate, ''Colossal Fury'', makes him grow to immense size, becoming immune to crowd control, gaining protections, power, rapid health regeneration and making his attacks hit an area.

----
* AchillesHeel: Weakening curse prevents all healing while it's active, and Vamana is affected by it even in his ult, turning him from a giant god to a giant pincushion.
* AwesomeButImpractical: His ultimate tends to be this early on in a game; while it makes him pretty much impossible to fight head-on, he can't use any of his abilities while it's active and it doesn't increase his movement speed, so people can just run away from him until it ends and there's not much he can do to catch up and deal damage. However, this weakness can be mitigated by a number of items that either increase his speed or reduce that of his enemies, turning it into a case of awesome-but-practical by the late game.
* BerserkButton: As described in one of his jokes:
--> "I have learned to control my anger. But if anybody calls me a baby again then I'm going to LOSE IT!!"
* {{Determinator}}: Big time during his ultimate, as it includes a protections buff and a huge healing factor. Attacking him while it's active simply makes it last longer, leading to more healing, making it largely pointless to do anything other than run away.
* LightningBruiser: He often builds with this in mind, buying items that increase both his defenses and movement speed, along with his passive that increases his power by a portion of his armor. UpToEleven if he uses Sprint during his ultimate.
* ParasolOfPain: His main weapon.
* PrecisionGuidedBoomerang: His parasol always returns in the path of least resistance, letting a savvy player trick it into hitting a strafing enemy twice.
* ShoutOut: Vamana says "Oh Yeah!" when activating his ultimate to probably reference the Kool-Aid Man. Regrettably, he cannot break through walls.
** Though with Cabrakan's destructible wall via his Ultimate, Vamana can finally do the more complete impression.
* SuperMode: Vamana's ultimate, Colossal Fury, increases his damage, protections, heals faster, makes him immune to crowd control and hit all enemies around him with his basic attacks, and to top it all off, makes him gigantic!

[[caption-width-right:250:[[http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/smite.gamepedia.com/7/76/Kumbhakarna_Intro_2.ogg "*yawn* Ok, ok I'm up! Point me towards the ene-*yawn*.. Enemy."]]]]
Do you hear it? That distant rumble like thunder across the mountains? Like pitched battle from miles away? Like a stampede of elephants across the plains? Know it is none of these things. That rumble you hear is the bellowing snore of Kumbhakarna, the Sleeping Giant.

Quick with a laugh, honest with friends, but devastating in battle, Kumbhakarna embodies the traits of a hero, but loyalty to his tyrant brother, Ravana, often leads him to the wrong side.

So jovial and pious is he, that when granted a boon by Brahma, Kumbhakarna wished to take Indra's place and rule the Heavens. [[GreenEyedMonster Indra was jealously threatened]], convinced Brahma would let the good-natured giant usurp him, and magically twisted Kumbhakarna's tongue at the last second. Instead of asking for “Indraasana” (Indra's Seat), he asked for “Nidraasana,” ... to sleep.

Now, Kumbhakarna is a dozing behemoth, waking only once every six months. Yet, Ravana is concerned with the growing fervor of the battle between gods and demons, sensing his dominion slipping. Prematurely, he has awoken his brother and pressed him to fight. Though reluctant, as if he knows his brother's stance is unjust, Kumbhakarna fights out of loyalty and a warrior's code.

Now, that rumbling you hear, it is not his snores, but Kumbhakarna's mighty roar. Or was that a yawn?

Kumbhakarna is a [[StoneWall Guardian]]-type God. His passive, ''Sleepy'', makes him fall asleep instead of being slain when reduced to 0 HP. Unless hit with 6-10 (depending on his level) basic attacks within 8 seconds, he will wake up with 25% health and mana. The ability, however, has a lengthy cooldown. Kumbhakarna's first ability, ''Throw Back'', makes him run forward and smash belly-first into the first enemy he encounters, dealing damage. If the target is a minion, they become a projectile, dealing further damage to all enemies they pass through. Using his second ability, ''Groggy Strike'', Kumbhakarna lifts his staff overhead and, after a painfully long delay, brings it down on a cone area in front of himself, dealing damage and rooting all enemies hit. Kumbhakarna's third ability is to release a ''Mighty Yawn'', putting any enemies nearby to sleep for a considerable duration. If damaged, they awake, but are slowed briefly. He can use this ability even if asleep. Kubhakarna's ultimate, ''Epic Uppercut'', makes him dash forward and deliver a powerful blow to the first enemy encountered, sending them into the sky for two seconds, before crashing back down, dealing damage and knocking up all enemies nearby.

----

* {{Adorkable}}: His victory dance qualifies.

* DropTheHammer: His weapon is a large warhammer covered in elephant tusks.

* ReluctantWarrior: Yeah, he's not too happy about having to fight for his brother when he simply wishes to sleep.

[[caption-width-right:250:[[http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/smite.gamepedia.com/f/f7/Agni_Intro.ogg "Time to burn!"]]]]

-> '''Voiced by:''' Scott Freeman

There are few elements as destructive or as purifying as fire. Agni, God of Fire, is the embodiment of both of these qualities, with a head for each.

Though the source of his origin warrants debate - for there are many tales of his parentage ranging from two simple sticks rubbed together, to the cosmic energy that made all things at the beginning of time - Agni is a pivotal and important God with many duties to the Pantheon. He is the twin brother to Indra, God of the Heavens and Rains and chief among warriors. Conversely, Agni is chief among priests, acting as messenger between mortals and Gods. Every Hindu ritual and prayer is performed in front of a fire of some kind, so Agni carries the words and sacrifices, traveling between the Earth and the Heavens. He is welcome in every home and every hearth and much beloved by the Faithful.

Through his flames, Agni provides heat and light, but also cleanses impurities. Smoke from his pyres create the air and hold the Heavens aloft. The sun, a source of fire itself, brings life-giving energy to the world, and his lightning streaks the sky during storms.

For all his kindness and service, Agni has two faces. One is the face of kindness and purity, turned towards the people and Gods. His other face, grim and resolute, guides the God of Fire, to play his role in the cosmic cycle of creation and destruction, to burn and blacken all the atrocities of the world to ash.

Agni is a Mage-type God with a good mixture of damage, crowd control and mobility but somewhat short ranged. His passive, ''Combustion'', grants him a stack with every succesfull basic attack. Upon reaching four stacks, his next ''Flame Wave'' or ''Rain of Fire'' abilities will also set their targets on fire, dealing damage over time for a few seconds. His first ability, ''Noxious Fumes'', summons a cloud of combustible gas fumes at a nearby area for a few seconds, damaging all enemies inside. Additionally, if any of his other abilities hit the gas cloud they will make it explode, stunning all enemies inside. His second ability, ''Flame Wave'', launches a wave of fire that damages all opponents in a line in front of Agni. With his third ability, ''Path of Flames'', Agni dashes a short distance forward, also leaving behind for a few seconds a burning trail of flames that set all enemies that pass through them on fire, damaging them over time. His ultimate ability, ''Rain of Fire'', allows Agni to store up to three flaming halos over time that can be consumed to call down a meteor at a nearby area, damaging all opponents inside.

----
* AscendedMeme: Was nicknamed "Swagni" by players for a long time before getting an official alternate skin for it.
* {{Combo}}: Of two types, in Combustion and Noxious Fumes. An important trick to learn is using Rain of Fire, then creating a Noxious Cloud in the target area before the meteorite falls.
* DeathFromAbove: His ultimate, Rain Fire, can do this up to three consecutive times depending on how many charges he has.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: Agni is a god representing the duality of flame, as a source of warmth and a force of destruction. His kit is purely destructive. This even extends to his character design - one of his faces is supposed to be kind, the other wrathful. Here, both are scowling and angry.
** His gameplay model used to be better about this, with his left head smiling and his right head frowning. It's maintained in his reworked model, but 1) it's now his ''right'' head smiling, and 2) it's more of a SlasherSmile.
* MrFanservice: He used to look fairly strange, like a classic Fire Elemental, but now he looks like a wrestler-turned-monk and is a WalkingShirtlessScene.
* MultipleHeadCase: One of his heads (smiling) represents all the positives about fire while the other (frowning) represents everything negative about it.
* PimpDuds: His "Swagni" skin.
* PlayingWithFire: As to be expected by a fire god.
* UnflinchingWalk: He does this in his victorious post-match animation, casuing exposions behind him. Too bad for [[ButtMonkey Denton]] that the God of Fire doesn't notice him.

So many are his vile victories over mankind that they cannot be relayed here, yet it his defeat at the hands of a man that is worth the telling.

According to the Hindu epic, [[Literature/{{Mahabharata}} the Mahabharata]], the famous Pandava brothers were traveling in exile with their mother, Kunti, when they came to the village Ekachakra. Disguised as brahmins, they sought alms from the villagers in order to sustain themselves. They soon learned that a demon, Bakasura, was living outside the village, devouring the people as they passed through the woods. The chief went to the demon and begged that the feasting stop. In return, a cart of food would be sent to Bakasura each day. Bakasura consumed not only the provisions, but the person that brought the cart as well.

After hearing this tale from a weeping woman whose son would bear the cart on the morrow, Kunti declared that her son Bhima, who possessed impossible strength and had slain demons before, would take the cart instead, as repayment to the kindness the villagers had shown their family.

Once in the forest, Bhima nonchalantly ate the food intended for Bakasura. Furious, Bakasura threatened to eat Bhima, which he just laughed off, goading the demon to attack him. All day they battled until Bhima finally slew the demon, tied him to the cart and dragged the body back to the village, where the people celebrated the victory in bewilderment.

Hunger, however, is a demon that cannot be defeated and, inevitably, Bakasura’s disgusting rumble will rise again, now more ravenous than ever and ready to feed.

Bakasura is an Assasin-type God. His passive, ''Insatiable Hunger'', temporarily increases Bakasura's movement and attack speed whenever he kills an enemy unit, stacking up to three times. His first ability, ''Take Down'', makes Bakasura leap to a nearby area, damaging and reducing the physical protection of all enemies around his landing point. With his second ability, ''Eat Minion'', Bakasura grabs a nearby enemy or neutral minion and consumes it, healing himself and gaining a bonus to his physical and magical protection for a brief duration. Additionally, he can store up to six minions for use with his ultimate ability. His third ability, ''Butcher Blades'', passively increases Bakasura's physical power, and can be activated to temporarily make his basic attacks deal bonus unblockable true damage. With his ultimate ability, ''Regurgitate'', Bakasura spews forth a shadowy mass, slowing and crippling all enemies in a targeted area. For every stored minion, Bakasura will also spawn a goo-covered soldier to fight for him for a few seconds. Bakasura attacks using ghostly jaws for several seconds, hitting all enemies in a cone-shaped area. Additionally, he is immune to crowd control for a short duration.

* AxCrazy: Already pretty aggressive to start with, but takes it to the next level with his Rage skin.
-->''Maximum carnage!''
-->''"Kill, kill, kill...''
-->''Hey, lend me your ear for a second! Ahahahaha! I promise I'll give it back!''
* AbsurdlySharpClaws / ArmorPiercingAttack: Bakasura's Butcher Blades are the game's most reliable source of resistance-ignoring True damage.
* ArtEvolution: In October 2014 he received a complete redesign that gave him a BellyMouth and [[VideoGame/MortalKombat Baraka-esque]] WolverineClaws. Amusingly, the introduction showed his revamped form eating his old form.
* BellyMouth: After his remodel
* BigEater: Has no problem consuming minions larger than himself. Even more pronounced with his old, smaller model.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Originally he had scythes for hands. Now he has [[VideoGame/MortalKombat Baraka-esque]] ones.
* BodyHorror: Pre-remodel Bakasura's hands were bones carved into blades, and he had a (usually hidden) tentacular, fanged maw.
** ''Post''-remodel Bakasura has a skeletal face and a vertical BellyMouth. His claws now emerge from his forearms.
* CameBackWrong: Anyone he eats can be barfed up fully alive, tinted green............and on his side.
** Later changed to spawning mini-Bakasuras.
** Later changed ''again'' to sword-armed humanoids covered in a thick layer of shadowy goo.
* CannonFodder: Sometimes picked in 1v1 games because he can kill objectives without the help of his side's minions; he can use the regurgitated minions from his ultimate to meatshield for him instead.
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: The MO of his standard build, which emphasizes attack speed over physical power and has you taking damage from his basic attacks, his butcher blades, and the passive damage applied by Qin's Sais; plus his minions during his ultimate. It adds up to shred people very quickly, even tanks, thanks to his true damage and the fact that Qin's Sais damages based on a percent of max health.
* EvilTastesGood: It's a rare line that doesn't involve food somehow.
--> (Killing a jungle boss): ''Delicious!''
--> (Dying) ''I've bitten off more than I can chew...''
-->(Killing Scylla) ''I could just eat you up... And I did! Ahahah!''
* ExtremeOmnivore: Surprisingly, [[GameplayAndStorySegregation despite the lore given for him]] the only things he ''can't'' eat are the playable characters.
* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: Before his remodel, his ''head popped off his shoulders'' and flew up into the air, accompanied by a spurt of the same green liquid (presumably his stomach bile, or perhaps just his bodily fluids in general) seen in his ultimate.
* FixedDamageAttack: The additional damage from activating Butcher Blades doesn't scale with power.
* HorrorHunger: Incarnate.
* ImAHumanitarian: Bakasura's Eat Minion ability has him do... [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin just that to enemy minions and monsters]]. Eating up to six makes his Regurgitate ultimate more powerful.
** [[ExtremeOmnivore He can even eat Nu Wa's Clay Minions.]] [[{{Squick}} Or those of a enemy Bakasura.]]
* InTheHood: Bakasura's face is usually covered by a hood casting a shadow over his entire face. His ghastly visage including MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily and ExtraEyes is revealed from using some of his abilities, and shown on his icons.
** His remodel made his face visible but strongly resemble a skull with huge teeth and a bifurcated lower jaw.
* MagikarpPower: Early game Bakasura is fairly weak in fights due to his inability to deal any damage at all outside of melee range, making him very easy to kite. However, once he builds his core item Hastened Fatalis and some additional attack speed items, he becomes much harder to run from and deals incredible DPS with his true damage steroid.
* NightmareFace: When he decides to show his head for his ultimate, you know it's not going to be any good news.
* PrimalStance: Pre-rework Bakasura was an impish, emaciated creature that ran using its blade-hands. Post-rework Bakasure has the body of a muscular human... but his movements are even less so than before. He uses his blades to walk whenever not in combat, he stands hunched over, and whenever not moving, he twitches like some manner of rabid animal.
* ShoutOut: His old joke before the remodel had him confess [[AustinPowers "I eat because I'm sad. I'm sad because I eat. It's a vicious cycle."]]
** In the rework:

To speak of Kali is to speak of the beginning of time itself.

Across the majestic lands of Hindustan rose an army of demons that conquered the countryside and slaughtered the people. Yet, when the Gods themselves were defeated, Devi, the supreme Goddess, emerged to throw back this host and protect the faithful.

Three forms she took during these ancient times. The first, Durga, the Mother of Creation, was as radiant as she was fearsome. Astride her tiger, she scattered the demon horde until she encountered the horrendous Raktabija. For each wound she gave the demon, his cursed blood created a copy, quickly resulting in an unstoppable army of Raktabija clones. Rage boiled at the corners of Durga’s mind, in the quest to slaughter and destroy evil. From the forehead of Durga sprung her wrathful form, with skin darkened and eyes glowing a menacing red.

Thus was Kali, the Black One, Goddess of Time and Destruction, the second form of Devi born.

Rarely has Kali been seen since, kept in the shadows of Devi’s mind, but when the tides of battle shift and evil looms large, there is no solution but unrestrained destruction of evil, and Kali once again, walks the Earth.

Kali is an Assassin-type god. Her passive, ''Marked for Death'', randomly selects an enemy god. Kali's attacks gain extra penetration against that god, and if she lands the killing blow, she is healed for most of her health and receives extra gold. When a mark dies, a new one is selected at random, but if Kali herself is killed, the perpetrator becomes her next mark. Kali's first ability, ''Nimble Strike'', has her leap to a target location, dealing damage to all enemies there. In addition, she is healed for 20% of the missing health of the most injured enemy hit. Her second ability, ''Lash'', throws out three blades, one forward and two on arcing paths. The blades converge at a distance of Kali's choosing. Each blade deals damage to enemies it passes through and applies a three second bleed. The bleed does not stack; however, Kali gains extra liefsteal against bleeding targets. Kali's third ability, ''Incense'', has her sash the censer she carries against the ground, stunning all nearby enemies and increasing her power for a moderate duration. Using her ultimate ability, ''Destruction'', Kali becomes a whirling dervish of death, dealing damage to all nearby enemies. She cannot die while using Destruction, and will be healed to 15% of her health if she is below that level at its end. She is also immune to knockbacks and roots, but not stuns.
----
* ArtEvolution: Used to carry around a severed head; this was removed when her model was updated because it was considered unacceptable for the game's release in China (where images of severed heads, skulls, etc. are taboo). Also the only goddess to actually put more clothes on when she received a new model, possibly due to complaints of over-sexualization from Hindu players.
* TheBerserker: Other than rage and sadism, she doesn't show many other emotions.
--> ''YOU WILL DIE SCREAMING!!''
** Her [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration reworked kit encourages her to use this as her playstyle as well.]] If she's about to die, she can turn on her ultimate to gain death-immunity for a time. So long as she kills the target marked by her passive, she'll heal back to nearly full health afterwards.
* CrutchCharacter: Pre-rework Kali was a caster who dominated the early game with abilities but rapidly became useless in late game.
** MagikarpPower: ''Post''-rework Kali primarily relies on autoattacking for damage and does very little until late game, at which point she becomes a terrifying hypercarry.
* DarkIsNotEvil: But is sure as hell is scary!
* DeathOrGloryAttack: Invoked by a low-health Kali diving the target marked by her passive in hopes of getting the 80% heal. Doubly so if she's relying on her ultimate to stay alive while doing this. If she can successfully kill her target, Kali will heal back to nearly full health, but if her ultimate runs out first she's probably toast.
* DualWielding: Her main weapons are a sword and a scythe, though she always wields her incense as a weapon to stun enemies.
* GlassCannon: Reworked Kali is encouraged to build this way. She has a lot of abilities that heal her but depend on doing damage and her ultimate makes her immune to most soft CCs and unable to die (you still lose health).
* LighterAndSofter: After the rework, her AxCrazy side was definitely taken down a few notches. The biggest rise we see out of her is noting how she sometimes loses her temper.
* LifeDrain: She can lifesteal based on the damage she does, her leap heals her based on the victim's missing health, and she regenerates fully 80% of her health on killing her passive's target.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: As with all traditional representations of Kali. Although the number varies, in this case she has 4.
* NoSenseOfHumor: She doesn't seem to think that humor is proper, and she kinda sucked at it.
-->''Ugh.''
* ShoutOut: Her Trophy Hunter Skin is based of the [[Film/{{Predator}} Yautja]] armor.

[[folder:Rama, Seventh Avatar of Vishnu]]

[[caption-width-right:250:[[http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/smite.gamepedia.com/8/8a/Ram_Intro_1.ogg "I must rescue Sita!"]]]]

Ravana's immortal reign subjugates the people. Shiva's boon grants the demon-king invulnerability against gods and beasts. Only mortal men stand a chance of defeating him, but Ravana's might is too potent for a mere man to overcome. All seems lost.

To save us, Vishnu took human form. Rama, prince of Ayodhya.

At age 16 he was already the perfect embodiment of man. Strong, humble, handsome, patient, devout; he is what mankind strives to be, yet, for all our flaws, can never reach.

When a neighboring kingdom, cursed by Ravana's magic, asked for aid, Rama answered, despite the misgivings of his father. With his brother Laksharma, Rama set out and slew a horde of demons. At the palace, Rama cleansed the curse by freeing the queen from stone. The city celebrated and Rama was invited to string Shiva's bow – with the prize princess Sita's hand in marriage. Shiva's bow could not be lifted by any man, let alone strung, but Rama broke the bow in half. He and Sita wed immediately.

Returning home, Rama was to be crown prince, but the jealousy of queen Kaikeyi forced Rama into exile, where he's remained these past fourteen years.

Yet Rama was recently seen on the field of battle. Word is, Ravana stole Rama's wife, and Rama left exile to embrace his destiny. He must defeat Ravana, free his wife, and set mankind on a path for peace, else darkness and evil will conquer all.

Rama is a Hunter-type God. His passive, ''Astral Quiver!'', generates and stores up to five Astral Arrows, which are consumed by some of his other abilities. One arrow is generated every fifteen seconds, but every successful attack Rama lands will reduce that by two seconds. His first ability, ''Astral Strike'', costs no mana and has no cooldown but consumes one Astral Arrow per shot. Activating Astral Strike makes Rama's arrows pierce through all enemies, slowing and dealing extra damage to all targets hit. His second ability, ''Pick Me Up'', passively gives a chance (up to 50%) that a target hit with with an Astral Arrow will spawn a pickup which Rama may collect to restore one Astral Arrow to himself. Rama can also activate this power to increase his attack speed for a brief duration. His third ability, ''Rolling Assault'', makes Rama perform a rapid dodge roll in the direction he is currently moving in. Additionally, the next attack will consume an Astral Arrow if available, making the next shot deal increased damage and cripple the target hit, briefly disabling movement powers such as dashes. Using his ultimate ability, ''Astral Barrage'', Rama leaps into the sky, protecting him from harm and giving him a commanding view of the battlefield and letting him release three arrows at any spot within the ability's immense range. Each arrow deals more damage in a smaller area than the one previous ones. These shots do not consume Astral Arrows.

* AnnoyingLaugh: [[http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/smite.gamepedia.com/e/e4/Ram_laugh.ogg Take]] a [[http://youtu.be/VUnC9nrmkb0?t=51s listen]].
* ArchEnemy: Ravana
* TheAce: Because he's an incarnation of Vishnu, he possesses every great things mankind aspire to be.
* AllLovingHero: Ferocious to his enemies, but a great ally and friend to have.
* AlwaysSaveTheGirl: Driven to save his wife Sita, aside of kicking Ravana's ass again and protecting mankind.
* ArcherArchetype: Rama is a cool-headed ADC, and with Shiva's Bow as his WeaponOfChoice, he's capable of raining down destruction in his wake.
* [[BottomlessMagazines Bottomless Quiver]]: Played with. He never runs out of normal arrows, but managing his limited supply of Astral Arrows is a crucial part of playing as Rama.
* BoringButPractical: Rama's normal abilities simply provide buffs to his basic attacks, increasing their damage, firing them faster, and causing them to apply CC effects. He doesn't have anything more flashy than just shooting arrows at you; but if you find yourself on the wrong end of them while his steroids are active, he can melt your health bar in a big hurry. The exception is his ultimate, which is more of....
* DifficultButAwesome: Astral Barrage deals a ton of damage if all 3 shots hit, but the majority of it is in the second and especially third hits, which are quite difficult to hit as they have small AOEs and a significant delay before they hit, requiring you to predict the enemy's movement.
* GoodIsNotSoft: He's definitely a nice AllLovingHero, but he shows a grim determination to wipe out Ravana's forces. Killing an enemy Kumbhakarna just makes him remark that Kumbha's brother (Ravana) is next.
* HerdHittingAttack: His first ability turns his basic attacks into these.
* NoSenseOfHumor: Much like Tyr before him, refuses to /joke. Unless he's wearing the Orbital Shooter skin.
* TheExile: Rama had this status after being wed with Sita.
* WarriorPrince: Due to expressly being born for the purpose of fighting Ravana.
* YouLookFamiliar: Rama can remark that Hun Batz look familiar to him. Who does that remind him of? His monkey friend Hanuman. [[/folder]]
