Most certainly ''not'' the DistressedDamsel. She has developed an Inferiority Complex from being kidnapped and rescued all the time, and considers herself useless. As a result of this, she decides to join Bowser's team to prove that she is stronger now. She also searches for Mario, who is believed by Bowser and herself to be dead.

Despite initially seeing her as nothing more as a girl Bowser has FriendsWithBenefits with, the two eventually become friendly with one another after the events of the Hotel Bowser / Norfair incident. Though the two like to tease each other about their shortcomings, the two genuinely care about each other, to the point of working together to get rid of the Yoshis in Hotel Bowser (though not without Liz beating him for letting off a Wario Waft in the process). The two even start working together to earn some money in Episode 20, through Lizardon participating in Exhibition Matches, and Wario betting on her.

The third member of Ganondorf's team until his HeelFaceTurn. In truth, he had been possessed by the spirit of Mewtwo, Bowser's former mentor, and was used as a vessel to carry out Mewtwo's own revenge against Bowser. He eventually regained control though, and forced Mewtwo's soul out of his body. Once Mewtwo left, he resigns from Ganondorf's team and becomes one of Bowser's allies.

* CoolOldGuy: Minus the time he under Mewtwo's possession, Lucario is a fierce, powerful, and yet cordial fighter who simply wants to fight others.
* CulturedBadass: Is an experienced fighter, but is also extremely polite.
* EmbarrassingNickname: "Lu-lu" is one to him. While he is okay with Liz addressing him as such, he takes offense to Bowser or other men referring to him with it.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite his enthusiasm for battling strong opponents, Lucario refused to join Team Ganon, as he could sense Ganondorf's evil aura and his nefarious reasons for competing in the tournament. Unfortunately, Mewtwo had other plans...

* ProfessionalButtKisser: Lucario indulges in this to convince Bowser to let him travel with him to Saffron City.
* PurpleProse: Occasionally speaks like this to give exaggerated and ornate compliments or insults towards Bowser. Unfortunately, the Koopa King is smart enough to know what the words he says mean.
* TheRival: Seems to have a light-hearted one with Mewtwo during ''Smash King HD''.
* WalkingSpoiler: It is impossible to not give away ''half'' the plot if we were to go deep into what his actual character is like, and how much of what he does before Episode 17 weren't his own actions.
