* GoMadFromTheRevelation: Chaos showed him exactly how many magical girls there are in the multiverse, and just how pointless and insignificant his first life's mission was on a cosmic scale. The resulting fit of pure ExistentialTerror would have killed him, had he not already been dead at the time. Instead, it ''broke'' him and made him far worse than before, graduating him from HopeCrusher to OmnicidalManiac.

Instead, Joker met Chaos and resisted joining back with it, openly defying the force of nature and calling it a coward. This impressed Chaos enough to spare Joker, reincarnating him to serve as its [[TheHeavy Heavy]] in the mortal realm and wage the war on reality.

Joker is, to his very core, sadistic and nihilistic... to a degree that terrifies even the many numerous sadists and nihilists of Dead End. He stands alone as the most depraved monster of them all, willing to go far beyond even the most despicable acts he committed in his own series. Despite this, Joker is also intelligent and calculating, making schemes within schemes within schemes and keeping secrets from even his most trusted underlings.

Once one of Madoka Kaname's oldest and most trusted friends, Sayaka's suffering was supposed to have ended once Madoka came to claim her as the Law of Cycles. When the Incubators captured Homura during the events of ''Rebellion'', however, Madoka chose to return to the physical world, entrusting Sayaka and Nagisa Momoe with her memories and portions of her godly powers. Everything came crashing down when Homura, broken by her torture at the Incubators' hands, stole those powers and rewrote the universe again to give Madoka a happy, normal life whether she wanted it or not.

Initially, Sayaka was but another of Homura's puppets in the new world, an unknowing prisoner of the GildedCage, just as Madoka was. When Joker used Sailor Mnemosyne's power to give her back her powers and memories, all hell broke loose: Sayaka immediately joined Dead End for the sake of making Homura pay. It soon became clear that Sayaka was NotBrainwashed, as she even turned her swords on her former friends of her own free will.
