* BornUnlucky: Her luck, to put it bluntly, is quite abysmal. Bad things tend to happen to her, sometimes self-inflicted, but usually not. Whether it be sex, romance or even freak accidents like having a stranger ejaculate sperm on her hair during a sex workshop, her general luck is... not great.

* RedheadInGreen: She is a redhaired woman who can be seen in green, in fact the 80s flashback to when Carrie first met her in the 2nd movie shows her with an olive-green power suit.

* {{Workaholic}}: More of an InformedAttribute of Miranda's. She's trying to make partner at her Law Firm (which can be a grueling prospect in real life), while getting into adventures with the girls and raising her son alone for periods. At one point she tries to shorten her work week to 55 billable hours and the other attorneys are aghast (which is a little bit RealityIsUnrealistic because that's still right on Partner track levels of billing). Lawyers who understand the importance of sleep ask for 6-8 a day, which still translates to a good 9 hours spent at work a day.

** To be fair, she says in an early episode that it's the responsibility of the man to stay faithful, not the other woman to not show interest, and in the handful of times she ''is'' cheated on, she is angry only with the cheating partner and never blames the other woman.

** She sends Aidan to help Miranda when the latter falls after taking a shower and puts her neck out, while Miranda is ''totally naked''. Later, when she comes around to apologise, she forgets to bring cheese for the bagels and then derails the conversation to complaining that Aidan still hasn't forgiven her for cheating on him.

* BreakTheCutie: Charlotte may come from fine stock, but growing up with such high expectations for yourself makes it that much more difficult when they can't be met. First she discovers, on the eve of her (very expensive) wedding, that her fiancé [[TheLoinsSleepTonight can't get it up]]; then, once that problem is solved, she has difficulty conceiving, and when she floats the idea of adoption her mother-in-law makes it known that she won't tolerate a "Mandarin baby"; she divorces Trey, and yay! Falls in love again! But it turns out he's super Jewish, so in order to be with the man she loves she needs to convert and (at least in her mind) abandon Christmas for Hannaukah; then Harry leaves her indefinitely after she spent all day cooking an enormous dinner for him but then says something she shouldn't have; they get back together, but then later the couple that had agreed to have their baby adopted changes their mind. [[EarnYourHappyEnding Everything turns out all right in the end, but dammit if Charlotte didn't get put through the wringer in order to get there. ]]

* ManChild: DEAR GOD! Between her selfishness (“You HAVE TO forgive me.” Said verbatim to Aiden), whininess, childishness, constant need to be the center of attention, she makes Diane Chambers look like Dorothy Zsbornak.

* AmbiguousDisorder: She seems to have some sort of undiagnosed personality disorder. Several episodes draw attention to this, particularly in "Freak Show" where Carrie wonders if she's more than just "neurotic." She generally manages to hold it together, but experiences with Mr. Big tend to send her spiraling.

* GoodPeopleHaveGoodSex: Charlotte admits he's the best lover she's ever had.

* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Sanguine. Fun, non-judgemental, impulsive and self indulgent to a fault.
